Honestly, i made this purchase as a last minute gift for Christmas and had no time to look up reviews or anything! My husband is 6'1" and about 300lbs... this scooter was PERFECT! it goes pretty fast - 21 miles per hour at its fastest... but i like that it has 3 settings - one for up to 7 miles an hour, one for 12 miles and the fastest is 21 miles... so it's good if you want a child to use it too, because it won't go too fast at the slower setting! I also LOVE that it has Bluetooth technology and it connects to my phone so easily! I love riding it and listening to my favorite songs! And the speaker is pretty loud but not too crazy where you'll disturb the peace (lol). Overall, a great buy from BEST BUY!

I was looking for electric scooter for my son as he walks 15 mins from parking lot to classroom and at least 10 mins walk between classes. We got Hover-1 - Highlander Foldable Electric Scooter w/9 mi Max Operating Range & 15 mph Max Speed for him to carry it the car and use it in college between classes. The box came with Hover-1 Highlander Foldable Electric Scooter, Ac Adapter and User Manual. Setup is relatively easy, and it came as preassembled and just need to attach the handlebars. I charged 100% before first use and it took around 1 hour. It will take 3 hours to do full charge from 0 to 100%. Build quality is solid and the item weighed around 40lbs. It is built to hit speeds up to 15 mph and to cover 9 miles worth of ride time in a single charge. It has electronic and foot brake and a bright LED display & headlight as well. I was able to configure my son iPhone without any issues using Bluetooth and it will allow to listen music while riding the bike. This feature may not be needed for everyone as most of us will be using Air pods or any compatible headsets with phone during ride. There is no option to adjust volume while riding. It is equipped with two 6.5” pneumatic tires and a 250W brushless electric motor for a neat and comfortable ride with maximum stability. The right handlebar has a switch to push down for the throttle while the left handlebar has a switch for break. There is an emergency manual break, and it can be used by pressing down on the back of the wheel cover. It is very easy to fold to ensure simple storage and transportation. My son is using this electric scooter every day and he really enjoying it. It saves lot of his time and able to reach classes in few mins instead of 15 mins walk. It is perfect gift for teens to use it in college instead of bicycle.

bought this scooter for my stepdaughter she’s around. 5’8”, 130-pound teenage , and it’s been absolutely perfect for getting her around to school and work. She loves it, and I’m impressed with how well it’s held up over time. The speed is great, the battery charges quickly, and it lasts a long time. It’s sturdy enough to handle regular use without any issues. If you’re looking for a reliable scooter and efficient for a teen, this is definitely a great choice!

This has been an amazing product! We ordered 3 online because our store is currently closed. One had some technical issues, called and got an exchange FAST. There has been no issues so far. Battery lasts as it states it should, bluetooth works great, the headlight is a great addition for night riding. 10/10 would recommend for adults and teenagers

We had this scooter LESS than six months before we started having trouble with it. First it was the throttle giving an error code that we had to replace. Of course after such a short period of time, NOTHING is covered under warranty. Then we received another error, which is from the motor this time. It has hardly been ridden a handful of times on smooth flat ground by a child that weighs a hundred pounds or less. Then, surprise surprise, when we found out what each separate error meant, there were no available parts on the hover-1 website for this scooter model to fix/replace the bad parts. And don’t even bother with customer service, I tried, but since their warranty is something like 60 or 90 days after purchase, they will do zip, zilch, nada to help you. SAVE YOUR MONEY, buy another brand!

It takes 4 hrs to get a full charge. A little noisy when you hit a bump or crack on the sidewalk. I think it’s the lock on the lower part of the handlebar/post. The ride is stiff due to its tires. I’m 220lbs it gives me at least 10-12miles depending on what speed mode i set it on. I love this scooter, I got it on a deal of the day.

This scooter was larger and heavier than I expected. It definitely is sturdy, though. It is very quick and can max out at close to 20 mph. The one thing that is a bit annoying is the loud noise the scooter makes when it powers on. It also rides a bit rough because the tires are only rubber. Otherwise, this seems like a good scooter that will last.

I got this for chasing my toddlers bike in short trips and it is perfect for that especially for the price. But it is large, and doesn't fold very tight. There is little suspension if any so you will feel every bump. On straight roads, it can carry me no problem (180lbs) but on fairly steep hills it can't start on its own so I have to assist and it also maxes around 3mph. Fortunately I don't plan to use in such roads. It didn't have any problem in garage ramps for example. Couple other quirks, the startup sound is very annoying and I wish it had separate buttons for headlight etc

I’ve had this scooter for a year and a month. Battery’s die out quick. Once it gets warm it slows down. Loose the little speed that it gets quick. The charger didn’t even work when I first got it. Had to get a new one else where because they wanted to send the whole unit back and I’d have to wait to get one sent out. It was a Christmas gift to my kids.

First and foremost -- I agree with most of the good reviews. But after riding this thing for about a month, I have some issues. 1. The noise. The engine itself is fine. Its the rattling from every single bump you hit. 2. The speed. THERE IS NO UPHILL. Remember that. If you are going downhill at the max 15 mph, the scooter will slow you down. Rolling you can be going 20, but I think the safety in the scooter will slow you to 15. Going uphill -- not a chance. I was on a mild incline and I went from 15...to 13...to 11...to 8. I had to kick up the hill. Mind you, I weight 160 pounds. This scooter is rated for 260lbs. 3. Distance is poor. Advertised at 9 miles distance...I imagine maybe, MAYBE, that could be possible on the lowest speed setting, going down hill, and there are no bumps in the road. I ride 1.5 miles to my destination and 1.5 miles home. 3 miles...THREE...and the scooter is at 3 bars of bettery left (sometimes 2). I decided not to charge it and see if that was just a precaution for charging. That brings me to 4. 4. Once you hit 2 bars (out of 5 on battery) the scooter simply doesnt perform at peak. At 2 bars, using the highest setting, maximum output was 10mph...on a downhill it got to 13...when its supposed to easily be going 15mph. In a nutshell -- for a commuter, this thing is trash. For kids having fun, its great. Best Buy wouldnt take it back (even in my return window). I simply wanted to exchange for a different scooter -- didnt need the refund. OH AND HOVER WILL NOT WARRANTY YOU IF YOUR PURCHASE IS IN HAWAII OR ALASKA. I had an issue with it after only a week and Hover basically said thaf due to my location, there is no warranty. They will not ship parts. No exceptions. Waste of money.

Such a great toy. Fits perfect for young adults. My nephews took it in all kind of rides and they seem to enjoy it a lot. I like the design of the scooter and the way it’s build. So i yeah I recommend it.

This stopped working reliably after about 4 months. I bought this to commute to work (about 2.5 miles each way). The first few months were fine, but then the scooter began randomly shutting off part way through my trip, even though the battery was fully charged before I left. The LCD screen would show the charge dropping from a full charge to depleted, then it would beep and show an error code that didn't correspond with any listed in the users manual. After less than a year, the scooter would no longer show a full charge, no matter how long it was plugged in (the charger indicator would turn green, but when the scooter was turned on, it would show maybe half a charge.) I finally gave up on getting it to work.

The frame snapped on me after 5 weeks. I’m 5’10” and 145 lbs. I use it for daily commutes to work and now I’m minority injured and without transport. The pipe of the handlebars snapped at the threads like the metal was too thin for my size. I didn’t buy the extra warranty offered at checkout so Im needing to buy a new one already. It also made a constant, loud clacking noise from the road.
