I bought two to ride with my son. The one battery died within the first 3 months of use. I contacted support but no help. I bought them in winter and didn’t start using them till summer, so missed the return window. The one is still going. Fast and handling is good. I did buy a Segway Ninebot and that one is built much better. The Hover 1 is a very nice starter scooter.

Damage charger and a flat tire!

I bought the product and a week later I left town. Before leaving the handle wasn’t sturdy. I came back on the 15th day only to find out that the charger stopped working. I even though the fault started on the 15 day, I was told that I would have to pay a 75 restocking fee. However instead of paying to fee, I took the option of contacting the manufacturer. After I contact the manufacturer, They respond to my message and that was the end of it. I did not get a replacement charger. After a month of waiting, I finally purchase a charger off Amazon only to find out that the back tire is now flat! I brought this product because I am a international college student who cannot afford to purchase a car. This would be easier for me to get around only for the product to be faulty. I do know know why the manufacturer only have email for us to contact them! But they never reply! I would not recommend buying this product because after 2 weeks it starts falling apart! I am a broke international student, and I can’t afford to buy a new now! So a replacement would help me out a lot

I use this scooter to get around the college campus. I would recommend a bike lock if you have to mount your scooter like me… if not, this scooter works great and can get to a relatively fast speed.

A Fun, Solid Transporter with an Impressive Range

The Hover-1 - Highlander Pro Foldable Electric Scooter is solid & well-built, weighing 23.5#. Featuring an LED headlight & taillight, it also has a few difficult to find features, including cruise control & removable battery. A top speed of 18 miles, a signal bell, & pneumatic tires that provide great comfort as you roll down the highway. A couple of things made me scratch my head: 1- An impressive looking key suggests ignition lock, or at least an ignition switch. But no, the key only serves to lock or unlock the battery. The battery can be charged without removing it from the scooter, so there is no apparent reason for the sophisticated key lock system, when it does not secure the scooter. 2- The 10” pneumatic tires provide a comfortable ride, and an air pump is even included to air them up. Yet, nowhere in the manual is the desired air pressure listed. One tire arrived flat. I aired both up to the “inflate to…” on the tire sidewall. That is NOT the correct procedure on a car or truck! You inflate to the vehicle’s manufacturer label on the driver’s door. I would have expected the Tire Pressure somewhere in the manual, but it was nowhere to be found. 3- Many precautions are described in the manual, appropriately so, i.e. always wear a helmet, and many other personal precautions are listed. Yet, no mention to check the tire pressure before each ride. Had I not noticed the front tire was flat & jumped on the scooter for my first ride, it could have resulted in a nasty crash. Proper tire inflation should definitely be listed in the safety portion of the manual. This scooter requires a kick start to energize the motor; that is a little disappointing. This is a stand-up device (it has no seat). It includes a simple, but handy kick stand. It goes relatively fast (15 MPH) & offers a nice range (18 Mi) for those who weigh considerably less that the 264 # maximum; top speed & range both reduce for those closer to the maximum weight limit. The battery charges in 6 hrs. The warranty is a short 90 day parts & labor; that is a little weak for a scooter (or anything) in this price range. CONCLUSION: The Hover-1 - Highlander Pro Foldable Electric Scooter is a fun, effective transporter that will get you where you want to go. A simple push on the rear fender, release the safety clasp & it folds to a small, easy to transport package. Recommended.

Don’t throw your money! If you can save more money and buy a better one!! That’s the option, it does not work well, from the first day the scooter begin to loosen and it is very loose, the aluminum with which the scooter is made is very bad, it broke after 2 months and I only used it 4 times and on avenue flat, really NOT worth it

Fun and sturdy scooter, similar in quality to scooters from Bird, etc. that you can rent. And a very reasonable price point. I’m impressed with it, although I have to admit, I worry about long term use once the “newness” wears off. If you know you want an electric scooter, this is one to definitely consider. If you’re on the fence, give it some thought as to how you would use it. IN THE BOX There’s obviously the scooter itself, it comes folded up. You get the instruction manual, a set of keys (to lock the battery), a small pump (more on that below), a hex wrench and a few bolts to put the handle together. And then there’s the charger. SETUP I also have an electric bike, which required a bit of assembly and some inherent knowledge of how to put a bike together. Nothing tough, but it took a little bit of trial and error. I can confidently say that’s not the case here. There is a little assembly, but it’s very simple. The scooter comes folded. It folds for “portability” so to get it set up you unfold the handlebar so it’s pointing up and there’s a convenient clamp that you push down which locks it in place. From there, you put the kickstand up and go to the handlebar. In the box the handlebar is disassembled, but it’s connected by a cable. There’s only way it fits into the handlebar and all you have to do is screw in 4 screws with the hex screw. I had some difficulties using the included tool (getting enough torque) and used my allen wrenches to help me screw them in quicker. From there, you will likely need to pump the tires up. Now, I noticed it came with a small pump, which I appreciated it, but it was small, so I wanted to use my bike tire air pump which is bigger. I could use my bike pump on the rear tire, but due to the design of the front (presumably where the motor is located) I couldn’t use a traditional tire pump. I had to use the included pump. The end of the hose on the included pump is smaller, and you screw it over the valve to connect it. But the smaller pump was no problem, you have to bend over further as its short, but after a few pumps my tires were ready to go. The last thing to do was to charge the battery. I was anxious to test it, and I couldn’t quite figure out how to take the battery off (or if it in fact came off) but the power cord was long enough to reach the battery terminal, which is toward the bottom of the vertical handlebar. It was recommended that you charge it for 8 hours initially. I charged it overnight. USE I have to admit, I didn’t have a scooter when I was younger, so I had to familiarize myself with it (I have ridden a for rent Bird scooter before). So at first I just used it as a traditional non-motorized scooter and manually pedaled myself around. I’m 6’4” and about 250 pounds. I never felt any “bowing” in the scooter or otherwise felt like I might break it. I also found the handlebar height to be just fine. Shorter people might find it too high, but I would think for most people, it’s just fine. Depending on your height, your center of gravity will obviously be different. After getting comfortable balancing and just scooting about, I turned it on. There’s a big blue button that you hold to turn it on. It makes a beep and the speedometer lights up with big bright text. Obviously it reads zero when you first turn it on. The throttle is a turn throttle on the right side. For presumably safety reasons, the throttle won’t engage at a complete standstill. You have to be moving just ever so slightly for the throttle to engage. Once it does though, it’s a blast. I haven’t driven too much because of the snow and ice, but on the somewhat warmer days I took it for a spin in my neighborhood and had a blast. The packaging says it goes 15 MPH, but I only got up to about 13 or 14, presumably because of my size. But honestly, that was fast enough for me. It was so much fun zipping around. The ride is extremely smooth. The scooter is solid and well built. As I said previously, I never had any concerns about its durability or ability to hold me. The steering is smooth as you would expect. It has disc brakes which are great. They make a minor squeak, but it’s not concerning at all and usually only makes a noise when slamming on the brakes at higher speeds. It’s a traditional bike type brake on the left side. Like non motor powered scooters, you can also brake by pushing down on the cover over the rear tire with your foot. I haven’t driven it a full 9 miles to test it’s range, but I rode it for about 15 minutes on separate days (without charging) and didn’t have any issues. The battery meter has only dropped one bar over that week. The good news, even if it dies when you’re out and about, you can obviously still operate it as a traditional scooter. OTHER FEATURES It has a headlight which is surprisingly bright. It’s the other button that on the throttle that sits above the power. It’s easy to use, you simply hold it down for a few seconds. I would caution against riding at night, but when the need calls, it’s a pleasant addition. I haven’t driven it enough to comment on the drain on the battery but I would guess it’s relatively minimal. It also has a bell. Something seemingly simple that I imagine is necessary when driving around congested areas. It’s not really an issue for me, as I imagine I’m only using it in my neighborhood but it’s a nice touch. And its sound is a nostalgia of being a kid. This is a folding scooter, so it is in some respects, portable. A couple of comments on that for those intending to take this with them. It does fold, and it folds easily. As I mentioned there’s a little handle that has a safety button that you push and flip up that disengages the pole allowing it to fold. It’s relatively compact when folded given it’s overall size, but it is pretty heavy. Not so heavy that you wouldn’t take it with you, but if you were the type to use this for commuting or are in a situation where you might carry it around, that could get cumbersome. Nothing to be unexpected, a battery powered scooter isn’t a light portable scooter. Just something to keep in mind if you’re expecting to travel with it. And while it folds to a compact size for what it is, it is still a large scooter with a large foot platform. So it’s not exactly small. Just something to keep in mind. The biggest con I can think of is the length it takes to charge. With proper planning or limited use, it won’t be a problem. But if you are going on a vacation and you take it with you, or it gets a lot of use from multiple people, it takes several hours to charge from 0% to full. CONCLUSION If you are looking for a fun way to travel short distances, or just like joy rides exploring, this is a terrific scooter to get. Putting aside your use cases, this is a high quality scooter that can hold just about anybody, that is somewhat portable and frankly, just fun to use. If you’re in the market, I highly recommend it.

I was very excited about this scooter when I got it. The first one I received was defective unfortunately. It ran for just a few hours and then the computer on it died and it never turned back on. Then after a few weeks, I finally got the replacement which did work as promised. Firstly, be aware that there are three different speed settings, and the highest one makes this scooter's pickup and speed extremely fast. The white M is the slowest, the green M is the medium speed, and the red M is the fastest. The lithium battery it comes with is detachable with a key so you can charge it separately as needed. In addition to this, here are some quick pros and cons from my experience: Pros - Large LCD screen display Solid and sturdy material 3 speed settings available Runs silently and very smooth Not that its realistic for a scooter, but cruise control is available Cons: The brakes make an unfavorable sound when utilized The scooter front turns a full 90 degrees to the right, while only a partial degree turn to the left. Not sure why Struggles going uphill at all; overheats quickly When the scooter folds down, a lock to hold it all together would be useful For the price point, this scooter does deliver thus far, but with the defectiveness of the first one, I am a bit skeptical about its life and how long it will operate well.

This represented my third hoverboard electric scooter. The first two were lower end and the the accelerater tab on both cracked. I trusted Hoverboard brand and bought this upgraded scooter. While my girl was riding it, the folding element cracked and sheared across the thickest piece of metal causing her to be trown to the street and traffic. It appears to be a poorly cast metal item and it is very dabgerous to ride.

Having owned a different Hover-1 Electric scooter, I was very excited to receive Hover-1’s newest electric scooter the Highlander Pro First I’ll start with the Pros: Fun to ride. Reasonable weight for its performance. Big LCD screen. Nice build quality for its price point. Really nice handlebars, and disc brakes. Looks good. Cons: The weight is not evenly distributed, most of the weight is towards the front. Feels like it can go faster but it just never does. A few minor adjustments needed I really like this scooter, especially for its price point. When it comes to scooters there is no perfect one. If you want it to be fast and light, chances are that it will be expensive. If you want it to be affordable and light, chances are that it won’t be fast. If you want it to be affordable and fast, it will be heavy. And etc etc Electric scooter companies have to find the right balance, and even make multiple models to fit different peoples needs, this particular scooters price point is on the affordable side, but it doesn’t go super fast, and the weight is just average, not heavy but not light either. The weight of this scooter is 23.25lbs which is not bad, and according to the specs it goes up to 15mph, though ive gone 16 on a flat surface a d 17 on a downward slope, Hover-1 claims it can travel a maximum of 18 miles before it needs recharging, only time will tell if this is true. And last but not least, when I first Took it out of the box, I noticed the scooter came with keys and what looks like some kind of ignition system, I thought wow that’s a nice bonus, it won’t turn on without the keys for extra security, well this was not the case, the key is just to lock the removable battery in place, presumably so no one will steal the battery, I find this a little odd because someone is not just going to take the battery, they are going to take the whole scooter. But its ok, it doesn’t hurt anybody. Im giving this electric scooter 4 starts instead of 5, not because of performance or looks, those are all good, but it seemed rushed out of the assembly line, some things needed minor adjustments. And if good luck fixing a flat tire, not user friendly in that area. The cruise control needs a little getting used to (cruise control is not mentioned anywhere in the manual) so you have to figure it out yourself. Fun scooter though

This Hover 1 Highlander Pro has impressed me more than I thought it would be. It's a pretty fantastic e-scooter and I can see this being useful, fun, and a great way to get around the city or neighborhoods. It is a very nice looking machine with it's matte black finish and blue accent colors. Compact e-scooter that can be folded down to make it easy to store, or pack into a vehicle for example. Within the package there is the Hover 1 Highlander Pro e-scooter itself. I'm a 5'9" adult and it is built for my height to use with ease. Also inside the box is an operational manual, charger, battery, charging cable, allen wrench, air pump, and keys to lock/unlock the battery. There are minimum and maximum recommended weights for this at 44 lbs and 265 lbs. The battery is a lithium ion battery that charges with the accompanying charging cable, and can take appx. 8 hours for a full charge. And now for the truly fun stuff in our household, as this Highlander Pro can travel up to a maximum speed of 15mph, and has a digital display that shows your speed. With a full charge you can travel up to 18 miles on this Highlander Pro. The display unit is very easy to read and clear to understand. Shows if your headlight is turned on and also the battery duration life. Handlebars are comfortable to hold, with a thumb lever for acceleration on the right handle and a brake on the left handle. Headlight button will activate a front headlight and also a rear brake light to show your visibility to others. This is a sleek machine and a lot of fun for outdoor play and getting from place to place. With a machine like this I wouldn't see a need to rent scooters in the urban setting if you own this. As always, I suggest wearing a helmet with this machine when operating.

With the presence of technology in all aspects of our daily lives, from video games consoles to smartphones addiction. However, traditional activities remain essential, and frankly, I enjoy doing them, such as riding a bicycle or a regular scooter. Last year, during the pandemic, I was fortunate to buy an e-scooter, which I liked very much. It is worth saying that an e-scooter prevents me from using my physical force, but riding it was great fun too. Unlike my old e-scooter, this Hover-1 Highlander Pro is a quantum leap. Set up was easy and was almost ready out to the box, charging is fast, smooth foldability, great rubber handlebars for good grip, LED display is big to contain all the riding info such as ride modes (Eco, Normal and sport); battery life; trip miles, headlight & disk brake as well as a foot brake, pneumatic tires for a smooth ride (air pump is included). The max speed is 15mph, but in reality, the speed rate varies from surface to surface. I had 15 top speed on a flat surface and 12 to 13 uphill. I love the auto cruise control that activates once the scooter reaches the top speed indicated by a friendly beep. Overall, it is a good quality scooter and absolutely a fun ride. No complaints so far!!

There are things in life that make you feel like a kid again, and let me tell you this is definitely one of them. The Hover-1 Highlander Pro is an electric scooter that you and your kids will enjoy for quite some time. The Highlander Pro can be used daily for short commutes or just to get out and have some fun. So, lets go over some of the features, Pros and Cons of the Hover-1 Highlander Pro. Unboxing and Setup: The Hover-1 Highlander Pro is a foldable electric scooter that weights about 24lbs. It arrives packaged well and in its folded position. Once you remove all the packaging you simply need to screw in the handle with four provided screws and lock in the handle bar with the folding lock system. Your electric scooter is ready to roll. In the box you will receive along with the scooter a set of keys, to remove the battery, Allen Key, air pump and your charging cables. You will not need any other tool to setup the Highlander Pro. It took me probably about 10 minutes to get everything ready to go, need less to say very simple setup. This is a push start electric scooter, meaning that you will need to push off and then hit the throttle to accelerate, and boy this thing can move. Features: Range – Up to 18 Miles Large LED Display – Highlander Pro scooter comes has a nice large display that gives you all your pertinent information such as your speed (Miles and Kilometers), Battery Life, Error Codes, Headlight status, Temperature Indicator and the Ride Mode. 3 Ride Modes – The Highlander Pro has three different ride modes with can be toggled through by pressing the power button twice. The first mode is the ECO Mode which will take you up to speeds of 6 to 7 MPH. The second mode is the NORMAL Mode which takes you up to about 11 MPH and lastly the SPORT Mode which will take you up to about 15 to 16 MPH. Headlight – For being a scooter, the Highlander Pro has a really nice LED headlight built-in and it is pretty bright. Its not bright enough for you to ride through some really dark area, but bright enough to make you visible to on coming traffic. The headlight can be switched on with a touch of a button. Disc and Foot Brakes – Highlander Pro has incorporated two methods of stopping the scooter. First, you have your traditional foot brake that you find on any old scooter, where you push down on the rear wheel guard to come to a stop, which I would not recommend using depending on fast you are going, it will take you longer to stop. I preferred using the disc braking system on the scooter which was a lot more efficient and simply easier to use and give you more control over your braking distance, plus you have a rear brake light that will turn on to let people know that you are slowing down or stopping. Cruise Control – So, this was probably my favorite feature on the Highland Pro. Cruise control is available to you on all three modes. Once you reach your top speed you will hear a tone to let you know that the cruise control is active and you no longer need to hold down the throttle and just enjoy your ride. Removable Battery – As I had mentioned earlier that you will receive a set of keys along with the scooter, those keys are to remove and to lock the batter pack back into the unit. You can charge the unit with and without the battery locked into the unit itself. I honestly, don’t see any use to able to remove the battery, unless it is to serve as a deterrent for someone trying to steal the scooter but even then, if they steal the scooter you won’t be able to much with just the battery pack. 10 Inch Wheel – The large wheels on the Highlander Pro actually provide for a pretty comfortable and smooth ride. I rode over a few potholes just to see how well they would hold up and surprisingly they were not bad at all. PROS: Easy Setup Controlled Speed – 3 Riding Modes Light Weight Foldable for easy storage or to take somewhere Really Fun to ride Solid Build Rear Brake Light CONS: No Anti-Theft functionality – Aside from the removable battery, there are really no other anti-theft functions on this unit. There is no GPS and requires no NFC or key to start up the unit. So, let’s say if you forget to take the battery out or your kids leave it out in the driveway, someone can just walk up and ride off on your Highland Pro. Lets be honest, these units are not cheap, so in my opinion Hover-1 should have incorporated some better anti-theft systems into the Highlander Pro. (My Biggest Concern and I believe should be Improved) Overall, the Hover-1 Highland Pro is a solid built machine that you and your family will enjoy for years to come. You can use this as a short distance commuter for yourself or your kids or even just to have some fun. I would recommend that if you are in the market for an electric scooter that you definitely check out the Hover-1 Highlander Pro.

The Hover-1 Highlander Pro offers fun and affordable transportation no matter your age or need. This can be a fun “toy” for someone young or environmentally friendly transportation for someone that doesn’t like to bike. I have the Hover-1 Blackhawk and the Highlander Pro has some nice upgrades and a few downgrades over that one. The scooter has 10” tall pneumatic tires that make going over smooth or rough surfaces easy. Hover-1 has included a hand pump with this one which is nice to have. The new locking system for the handle bars is a big plus over the Blackhawk, on the Highlander Pro it’s much easier for someone with limited hand strength. The new hand grips are bigger and have a more aggressive pattern that feel good and give more control. The addition of a lock for the battery is a big plus, though this doesn’t prevent theft of the whole scooter, it does prevent someone from playing a joke on you and leaving you with a scooter with no battery! Though the scooter is compact and folds up, being able to pop the battery off and charge it somewhere else is a huge plus to me. The bigger display is nice and makes it easier to see in bright sunlight, though the drive mode indicator could be bigger. The Highlander Pro has a range of 18 miles and a top speed of 15mph, this is the downgrade from the Blackhawk. The Blackhawk was rated at 28 miles and 18 miles an hour. The Blackhawk truly feels fast at times, while the Highlander Pro feels adequate. This isn’t to take away from the Highlander as it’s still fast enough, it just might not put that grin on your face like the Blackhawk. Cruise control is a nice feature that both have and you’ll know it’s engaged when it beeps at you while cruising. Hover-1 makes a wide range of scooters from ones for kids to ones like this that are “Pro”. With the Pro line I would like to see more color options or even a black out package, as at this price range this is more of an adult scooter to me. But don’t let the bright colors fool you, the Highlander Pro can deliver when you need simple transportation.

Good for the price, but a few issues.

I've had this scooter for a few weeks now, purchased in the store. It actually has a max speed of 18mph, not 15 as labeled online. Comes with 3 speed modes, Eco (12mph), Normal (15mph), and Sport (18mph). Make sure to have the tires inflated to at least 40psi, since they may be underinflated out of the box. Underinflated tires with this lower-powered scooter motor will negatively affect your range and/or speed. I am a heavier rider, and I did get 12 miles of range and the full 18mph speed on asphalt. Build quality is decent, feels pretty solid. I did have to use Loctite on a few screws that kept coming loose after each ride, especially on the handlebars. Biggest negative I would put on this, checking Hover-1's website, they do not readily offer any replacement parts for this scooter, i.e., batteries, inner-tubes or brake pads. Seems that this model of scooter was made specifically for Best Buy as some retailers have. Decent scooter for the price, but don't expect it to last years with the difficulty of purchasing parts.

Yes and No Yes: Fun and zippy. No: Tire already deflated on fourth use and not covered under the 90 days manufacturer's warranty. I recommend buying an extending warranty if you are going to get one of these little whips. Paid nearly twice the price 7 months ago.
