Got this for my 5 year old Grandson and he love's it. Didn't take him long to figure it out. He is all over playing with the kids. I think he thanked me about 7 times for getting it for him. As long as he is happy

First off let me manage your expectations with this product no it will not get 6.8 miles on one charge unless your weight is low and you keep it on 1 (max 3 mph) possibly 2 (max 9 mph) also the road needs to be flat and smooth. I live in tempe AZ 1.8-1.9 miles from ASU tempe campus slight hill going to campus 24 male 160-170 pounds 6'1, bought it well for cruising campus and getting to campus. When i ride it going to campus i keep it on two and sometimes switch to 3 but mainly stay on two which for comparison is someone riding a bike normally not standing and pedaling hard. as soon as i start it the full battery goes down to three bars left but fluctuates when i stop it magically gains a bar. I make it to campus lock it up then ride back on the ride back about half way it drops to about 2 bars so for me i get roughly 3 miles out of it with a little to spare. Not bad for the price but no it is not like a bird scooter if you want guaranteed miles and power you are looking at $400-$500 easily the segway and Xiaomi are the ones bird uses Xiaomi is the newer model ones they use now 2018. but again $400-$500 or more as of writing this online retailers are about $430 minimum for a good one. SO if you want miles then no this is not the product but if you want abut 3.3 miles on speed setting 2/3 then this is for you though you will need the charger for anymore but again this is variable based on weight and terrain. Also the wheels are not air cushioned so you will feel every bump in your feet.

Owned for 5 days. decided to try regardless of negative reviews. Read manual twice and followed instructions carefully (didnt think other reviews were trustworthy). First day all is fine. Home to train to work, recharge and reverse. Recharged before bed and unplugged as soon as full.
Day two(4th day of ownership). Ride to auto parts store less than a mile away. On way home scooter just stopped. Too heavy at 22 lbs to ride like a regular scooter so I walked it home. Was able to get it on at home and battery 75ish % full charge for a hour and tested it around the block for 1.5 miles, all okay...
Day 5, woke up took scooter to train. Less than 1mile away. Died right as I got to train. Of train and to work, scooter stared but sputter on/off after 50feet. Walked to work and arrived late (riding like a regular scooter takes more energy than walking).
After sputtering scooter turned off completely.
After walking to work, plugged in scooter and had no response from scooter for over 3 hour (or manufacturer). Unplugged and it turned on. Kept close eye on it for next 5 hours
Leaving work, fully charged. Turn it on. Kick off and it's turns off.....
Walking to make my train I try every 15 minutes for it to turn on. @30min mark it does wtb a completely dead battery. Garbage.
Facts;
180 lbs adult including heltmet and backpack and jacket.
Live 1 mile from train.
Work 1.5 miles from train (2.5 total commute)
No steep hills. Maybe 5% max.
No bumps or gaps, smooth even bike path entire way.
Came scratched up. Looked used but carefully aligned tamper proof seals. Odometer reading 0 so though nothing of it.
I would of been happy with 1/3 of what this thing said it could do.... I just didn't want to break a sweat getting to work. But that is asking for too much with this product.

First thing I have to say is the Hover-1 electric scooter was much easier learn to ride than when I first got my hoverboard...all you have to do is jump on and go with minimal worry of balance issues. Smooth surfaces are always best but I've had no problems going over smaller curbs, sidewalk cracks, and the ever so un-fun “invisible” mini-pebbles that would have launched me off my hoverboard on ANY surface.
The only thing I can complain about might not be the scooter’s issue as much as mine as I am at the top end of the weight restrictions. I did feel like it could probably go faster but for putting around the neighborhood and going to local shops, it’s working out great. I haven't tried going farther than a few miles at a time on a charge but for my short little adventures, its a lot better than jumping in the car just to grab something quick from the stores that are close enough to walk to but way more fun to scoot to!
Lastly, although I love the fact it’s electric (for the obvious reasons: lack of noise, no need to deal with gassing up, etc...) what I reeeally love is the real world applications that trump my hoverboard every time when it comes to dealing with intersections and traffic! So far so good!

I would to say I love this scooter but the real problem is the battery life I go 1.1 mile and the battery life is already dying... the speakers on the scooter is horrible, I think if you go to 5 below and buy a $5 speaker it would sound 10x's better than this... Hover 1 alpha drives smooth on a smooth road but on bumps/cracks man you'll think your scooter is going to fall apart, also make sure you have a 2 year warranty......
