Incredible monitor for the price. I have zero complaints. I use it for work at home - I’m a marketing consultant that always has 1 million tabs open so a second screen is a must for me. This monitor is light weight, reliable, has fantastic display quality, and has a super sleek design. I love that I can dim the brightness and set to night mode very easily. It’s perfect all around!

recently acquired this fantastic monitor for my laptop, and I am thrilled with its performance. From the moment I set it up, I was blown away by the stunning visuals and exceptional display quality it offers.
The first thing that caught my attention was the monitor’s impressive resolution. The clarity and sharpness of the images are truly remarkable, providing me with a more immersive viewing experience. Whether I’m watching movies, playing games, or working on creative projects, every detail is brought to life with vibrant colors and outstanding contrast.
The monitor’s size is another standout feature. The generous screen real estate allows for better multitasking, as I can have multiple windows open simultaneously without feeling cramped. The widescreen aspect ratio enhances productivity and enables me to work on documents side by side, significantly improving my workflow.
One aspect I appreciate about this monitor is its versatility. It offers a variety of connectivity options, making it compatible with a wide range of devices. Whether I’m connecting it to my laptop, gaming console, or streaming device, the monitor seamlessly adapts and delivers an exceptional performance across the board.
The ergonomic design of the monitor is worth mentioning as well. It offers adjustable settings, allowing me to find the perfect viewing angle and height that suits my preferences. This ensures a comfortable and eye-friendly experience, even during extended usage periods.
Lastly, I must commend the monitor’s overall build quality. It feels robust and well-made, and the sleek, modern design adds a touch of sophistication to my workspace. It’s clear that attention to detail was given in its construction, resulting in a monitor that not only performs exceptionally but also looks great.
In conclusion, this monitor has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Its impressive display quality, generous size, versatility, ergonomic design, and overall build quality make it a fantastic addition to any laptop setup. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of an exceptional visual experience.

This moniter provides an experience that is un matched for the price, 1080 60hrz is more than enough for causal gaming and home office work, the picture on the screen is also incredible at displaying saturated colors especially, although due to how thin it is it is quite prone to developing areas that are lighter however only noticeable when screen is completely black in the corners of the screen

=============================
>>>>> Bottom Line Up front: <<<<<
=============================
The 24” HP M24f does so many things right – especially at this price point – that I feel that it becomes really hard to find any deal breaking faults; without feeling like I am going into “knit-picking” mode. If you’re looking for something on the affordable side of the 24” monitor segment, particularly for a home office or workstation application - the M24f’s IPS panel is going to be tough to beat. It looks absolutely great on almost any desk, excellent viewing angles, a respectable 99% sRGB color gamut reproduction, and thoughtful productivity enhancing touches like HP’s Eye Ease (the always on blue light filtering tech) to help protect your eyes while you’re plugging away on your work for hours on end. The M24f supports AMD FreeSync variable refresh rate and is a more than capable of pulling double duty for casual HD gaming at “lower” refresh rates (compared to the “higher 144Hz + up models). HP makes other gaming monitors that would undoubtedly be better suited if that what you’re looking.
========================================
>>>>> Picture Quality/Image Reproduction: <<<<<
========================================
I work with a lot, and I do mean a lot, of computer monitors, TV monitors, projectors, and everything in between for what seems like decades now. Needless to say, many of those monitors have been HP monitors throughout that time. I have come to respect HP for always providing a quality product for almost every segment and the M24f is no exception. It sports an exceptionally crisp 1920 x 1080 native display resolution that HP states offers “ultra-wide 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles”. I’d be hard pressed to argue with their claims, because even compared to other IPS panels in this size range, something about the M24f just “popped” in images and video when I started messing around with the viewing angles in study. The M24f also has a more than respectable color reproduction with 99% sRGB color space. Like literally every monitor – ever – you will most likely have to “tune” or calibrate the monitor to enhance the color palate for a particular type of workload or productivity task in order to get the most visual effect out of the images/videos you are working with.
=========================
>>>>> Physical Design: <<<<<
=========================
I really liked the elegant and simplistic design aesthetic that HP used for the M24f. In summary - it looks more expensive than it is. Particularly when viewed from the side or at corner angles that allow the particularly slim upper and side bezels showcase the IPS panel even more. Add in the M24f’s simple, yet cleverly implemented cable management system that runs down the back of the silver base, it is ideal for workstation use or front office style desks where a smaller 24” form factor or visual exterior design appeal matters more than sheer physical screen size. I am not particularly crazy about the hidden OSD control buttons along the lower right side – but they work well enough and fit in with the whole “minimalistic” design theme that is going on here. I was disappointed to learn that the M24f does NOT support VESA mounting, which is a bummer for me (and anyone else) that has a multiple monitor arm set up at home or in the workspace. While the M24f’s screen may sport exceptional viewing angles – sadly the monitor arm and base do not. You can “tilt” and adjust the horizontal viewing angle, the stand/base does not offer vertical height adjustment not does the screen tilt left – to -right either. That being said, even with the limited base adjustment, the IPS screen viewing angles make the whole package more than manageable for everyday use. Also, I can’t neglect to mention how light the whole unit feels, almost too light – which is a compliment. Unfortunately, I was also disappointed to learn that there are no “built-in” speakers for “basic” sound reproduction, which isn’t really a negative thing, but more of something to be aware of in case you needed that functionality out the box. I wasn’t expecting the M24f to have a built-in web camera either at this price point – so I was not surprised to learn it didn’t actually have one after setting it up.
==========================
>>>>> Closing thoughts: <<<<<
==========================
I opted to use the M24f as my “main” monitor to get a feel if it could handle all my day to work loads, and for the most part it exceeded my expectations, however there were some things that warrant considerations/thoughts before you pull the trigger.
- Make sure 24” is the appropriate size for your workloads and personal needs. All the best image quality and viewing angles in world won’t make your desktop bigger. So, make sure this size works for you.
- it is not a substitute for a high end/high resolution/high frame rate gaming monitor. This monitor is limited to a maximum refresh rate of 70Hz, a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and a 5-millisecond response time and lack of HDR support – HP makes other gaming monitors that would undoubtedly be better suited if that what you’re looking for – but casual gaming was no problem for the M24f.
- while the build quality is solid, I still can’t help but feel HP did a little too much cost cutting when I think about the lack of VESA mounting integration, lack of built-in speakers, and “basic” adjustability of the base. This also comes across in the limited amount of input option as you only have 1x HDMI or 1x VGA connector. (I happen to primarily use Display Port).
In the end I was still impressed with everything HP brought to the table with the M24f – particularly at the sub $200 MSRP. I think this is perfect for smaller workstations, desk, or a highly visible study (as in my usage case) where the design aesthetics and extremely crisp and vibrant IPS can be seen in all its glory.

The HP 24" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor is highly rated everywhere, perfect size, thin, light weight and no eye strain after hours of use. I use the HDMI monitor port to connect to my small 14” screen laptop. Best Buy had the best sales price for this highly rated quality monitor and it was a fast delivery. I would purchase this monitor again.

I bought this monitor because I have macular degeneration and it’s hard for me to read from the laptop. I love it! It’s big and bright. I compared it with other monitors in the store before buying and one of the associates told me this one was brighter than other options available. Highly recommended for people with vision problems. I use it for school every night and it works perfect.

My wife has been working from home for 2 years now and has always needed a second monitor. We decided to upgrade to a HP 29” to match the HP all in one that we have. Set up was super easy, color is great!! I wish the height was adjustable to match our computer but problem was solved with a old mouse pad. We also upgraded to a 32” smart tv for a great home office!

This is second one I purchased after finding the first one met my needs perfectly. Really like the stand style. Fits perfectly on top of Mac mini. Also has a neat feature that allows you to hide your cords in neck of stand. Very good brightness. If I recall correctly it is 400 nits which is more than enough.
