When I Bought this Monitor I wasn't sure How I'd like the Newer HD Type Monitors, but I couldn't be More Pleased with How it has Performed! Really Makes Viewing Movies Online very Nice, just like TV! And the Color is Excellent & Crispness of the Picture as well!

I am blown away by this monitor! I've had it for about 2 months now and just love it. The pictures are so bright, vibrant, crystal clear and the colors are so amazing. I first bought the 25 inch, but after a couple of days decided, for a few dollars more why not buy the 27 inch, so I did. Because it's so big, it's almost like watching a television, in fact I watch movies on it all the time. I've had no issues with it and am so impressed that I'm buying another one for my wife's computer. I DO HIGHLY recommend this monitor to anyone!

There are two versions (boxes) of this monitor one says HP 27vx monitor and the other says HP 27vx IPS monitor (see photos). HP Tech support claim they're both IPS monitors but the specifications don't show it's an IPS monitor. Monitor has HDMI, VGA, and DVI connectors. Not wall mountable, does not swivel or rotate. Adjust the settings to your particular application or programs. It's has a glare and you can see your reflection in it or whatever is in back of you. Get in on sale if you can and save $100.00

I need another 2 of these to complete my triple monitor setup so all my monitors match. People complain the screen is too glossy but I don't have any lights behind me that shine on it so no issues. Color is good (not quite as rich as my Acer, but good). Brightness excellent. In the attached photo, the 27" is obviously in the center. Left is another HP and right is an Acer. All 3 are IPS displays.

Excellent for viewing and working in windows side by side, especially spreadsheets. Also, great for watching a training video on half the screen while doing lab work on the other half. But I also love it for watching Hulu and Netflix fullscreen.

The 1st modem that was delivered was broken by the transport co. I called Best Buy to advise them of the damage. The representative at Best Buy was so friendly and very helpful. He made arrangements to have another monitor sent to me - and it arrived very quickly. The monitor is nice and big, the colors on it are so sharp and vivid. The length of time for it to open any web site or document is instantaneous. I'm more than happy with both Best Buy and the HP monitor - service was great, and I love the monitor. The price was much better than ever expected. All in all, very satisfied withboth companies. I have always felt HP made a good product and have relied upon HP for several years. This is not my first purchase from Best Buy, nor will it be my last. Best Buy is an honorable company and everyone I have ever spoken with that works for them has always gone above and beyond, which instills even more satisfaction with my choice of company for my purchases. My next purchases will definitely be done at Best Buy.

I use my monitor for layout, design and graphics. This monitor has been super helpful for large format design. The Apple monitor is out of my price range so I got this one. I'm perfectly happy with it. And I like the all black footprint and frame.

Give this monitor a close look.Setup is simple,divide the screen,price was pretty good,fabulous picture for movies and sports.If you like to read a lot the 27" size screen is perfect.

I wanted a bigger monitor for my desktop for ease in reading articles. This was under $150 day after Thanksgiving. I went in the store at 8pm..it was available and the young fellow helping me was excellent. I had been watching prices and decided a 27 inch would give the best size for the money. HP monitors seem to me to be sharper and crisper than other low end brands and the refresh rate is fine for what I do I have watched some TV on it (news not sports) and I was very happy I would recommend this as great monitor for the price. I did not give it 5 stars because I know if I was willing to spend .....I estimate $500..... I could get a crisper faster monitor but I don't need it. I thought I would have to pay closer to 175 to 200 for the same quality so I very happy with my purchase after 6+ weeks of usage.

Got this on black friday for a discounted price and it looks great. Looks much better than some of the other monitors for the same price. Easy to connect and the size is awesome

bought this on Black Friday so the deal was great. hard to pass up a 27 inch for $140. great colors and contrast. haven't yet tried for games. I use it for work.

This is a good choice for an inexpensive 27" 1080p IPS monitor. The display is bright and clear, and it offers the standard connection options for an entry level monitor(display port is not offered). The one downside, and it's not a fault of the product, is that 27" is probably too large for a desktop monitor at 1080p. Everything is huge. I recently got a 1440p 27" to go with this and highly recommend you consider paying a little bit more for the greatly increased effective space you get with higher resolutions.

I had a small 19" Monitor that I got a few years back for Black Friday, and although it served it purpose well, I saw this deal for the 2015 Black Friday and let me tell you it was the best bet yet, awesome picture and clarity, now I could even watch TV while on the Computer, Picture is very crisp and clear with no haze. Now only if my tower had a HDMI that would be even better but the VGA output still is awesome

I researched multiple products, and online reviews, before making a decision on the final two choices . . . and a timely Best Buy sale helped making that choice even earlier. Totally pleased with the result of my purchase(s). Heck, even the quality of the protective packaging while it's in the box is impressive. Getting the new monitor up and running was quicker than any I've owned previously, and I didn't make a single adjustment to the settings whatsoever, as it appeared perfect to me from the start. I was a bit concerned about possible glare, but that has not been an issue at all. The touch-sensitive On/Off button on the bottom right of the screen is extremely handy (better then those edge buttons on other models). The screen resolution is very good for my eyes, and I think that all colors are being produced with high quality. Note: there is NO speaker with this model, so only purchase if you have other sound source. I personally like that it doesn't because that allows a thinner bezel for the monitor frame. I can easily recommend this monitor to others because . . . I liked the initial one I purchased, so I bought a second identical one to run side-by-side, and that was quite easy to arrange. They don't take up an extreme amount or space on my desk, since I used a slight angle (which didn't take away from the clearness of view). I hope others will enjoy their purchase as much as I have mine.

I caught this one on sale, so I bought it not expecting to like it that much. I was using a 20" Apple monitor as my secondary connected to my 27" iMac and wanted more real estate with 2 27s. I was blown away by the picture quality. Is it Apple quality, no, but it is close and about 80% cheaper. I got it on a Black Friday sale and if I had known it was going to perform as well as it has, I would have bought 2! In short, a great monitor at a great price.

Perfect size - large! Very easy to set up. Color and clarity is wonderful. The price couldn't be beat -was on special the very day our old monitor decided not to work anymore. The off-button is on front, not underneath like the old one was with 4 other buttons, never knew which one we were pushing! Very pleased with our purchase.

Purchased this monitor to use as a gaming monitor. I used to use a samsung 55 inch tv (1080p/120hz) but this is so much better in my opinion when it comes to gaming. I can really notice the difference in eye strain relief while using this monitor verses a TV while playing games. The colors are vibrant and they pop especially when using it with an Xbox one. Pros: Games run very smooth, images are clear, responsive, fast, and no sign of laggy'ness from frame rates at all. Very thin design, looks better in person than in the pictures. Sleek and modern dimensions. Menu/option buttons on the screen are very responsive and easy to use. Cons: Glossy, doesn't bother me that much but I'd prefer non-glossy displays. Only has one HDMI port and does not have speakers. Perfect monitor for gaming, provides crisp images, smooth gaming experience. I would recommend this monitor for anyone looking for an IPS monitor to use for games. First time buying an HP monitor and I have no regrets.

Purchased this monitor on Black Friday after seeing the advertisement in the paper. Earlier in the morning had purchased a 24" monitor at Staples but decided to spend an extra $40 for this 27" monitor ($139.99). So glad I did! It looks and works great! You won't regret it.

I really can't say anything about this one.. I was using a Samsung .. This one is what I had expected. No complaints at all.. The only reason I bought this one is I wanted a larger monitor and this one was the right price.. I still like the Samsung... You can't go wrong with this one.. It will not disappoint you...
