Better than expected.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The packaged setup instructions are minimal so I went to HP's website and found a more detailed .pdf file. Had to work through several flashing start -button issues but finally made a print once the calibration process was finished. It was a bit of a work but once it was operating, got some prints that exceeded my expectations.

great little printer

I wasn't expecting much from a cheap printer but this one I like. it is fast and quiet and The color is excellent. It's nice to have my own printer at home instead of having to go to the library.

I have had HP printers for many years, and find them both good and reliable -- in fact the one that came with my computer some 20 years ago still works fine -- but HP stopped making compatible drivers for the newer computers. For that reason I needed to replace it with an inexpensive but good quality printer for normal home office use. The single tri-color cartridge is remarkably good, even for large photos; and with some tweaking I got it to print using only the black ink cartridge. Note: I had absolutely no trouble setting this printer up with my MacBook Pro (OS 10.8.5) .

NO Connector

The printer cord is not even listed under accessories. I would not have bought it if I knew that I would have to go to the store again and buy a cable.

Not impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm sure this printer works great, but I wouldn't know because after I went through all the set up I realized this printer DOES NOT COME WITH the NECESSARY CORD to CONNECT THE PRINTER TO YOUR PC. I don't understand why they would sell an incomplete product, I expected to be able to use the printer immediately but now I have to wait until I order and receive the connection USB cord. I would have preferred to have paid the extra $10-20 for the printer for it to come with ALL products necessary to run it. Not a good way to do business, HP.

hours to hook up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ive spent hours trying to download drivers...neither of my machines have cd ports. finally get to a place where it says i need to hook up the cord. what cord? geesh. now i have to drive a few hours to get a cord or try to find one online. it shouldn't be this hard to use. if you need a cord then why not disclose that at purchase?
