I wanted a 4k screen without any of that wide format nonsense this does the job at a couple hundred less than the competition whilst having thunderbolt still. Best Value Thunderbolt display, although the included stand is flimsy at least it comes with a vesa mount adapter. Screen is somewhat matte which helps glare but can look dim.

I upgraded to a Mac Pro from a 2011 iMac that’s still solid ...cause I dropped in SSD drive and ram a couple of years ago. Did not stomach spending another $1000+ for the best monitor I could get. Out of gate, the hp envy matched the pro resolution and color balance. I had bought a Samsung from Best Buy for a little under $400 that I am returning. The USB-C direct connection may be the key, I don’t know, but for designers that expect consistency across monitors this is a dependable choice.

So happy I decided to buy this monitor at the beginning of the quarantine! The port selection is excellent and the minimalist stand means it takes up very little space on my tiny desk. Love the USB-C compatibility for future laptops but my current MBP only has HDMI and DisplayPort. At first, I was having trouble getting the monitor to use HiDPI (it looked pretty terrible through HDMI unless I was running it at full 4k). I bought a DP to miniDP cable and plugged it into the MBP thunderbolt port and viola! All the scaled resolutions settings you could want. Perfect monitor that will last me for many years to come.

I just purchased the Hp Envy 27” 4K monitor. The display quality is great and it hooked up to my MacBook Air with no problems using a usb-c connection. It is a nice looking unit with very thin bezels. The downside to this monitor is that there is not an audio jack to connect external speakers. Also missing are any regular USB ports. The monitor controls are on the back side and not very convenient or user friendly. Overall it is a fair monitor with limited features.

Great picture, not at all confidant in the stand though, it's rather wobbly - not sturdy at all. Not a wifi monitor, got it for teleworking with my HP Spectre laptop, which is also very nice LOOKING, but regular use of the HDMI port has worn out the port and it no longer works. DO BETTER HP.

I do a lot of data processing and this second screen is invaluable in saving me time and paper/ink. Same size and shape as my main monitor so no disjointed scanning.

Love 4k and doubles as PS for my Spectre X360

Recently purchased an HP Spectre X360 laptop with a 4k display. Though I really like this laptop, I'm frustrated that HP has not yet released a replacement power supply into the retail chain. I discovered that this monitor has a Display Port over USB-C connection, and that the USB-C port actually provides power sufficient to charge my laptop while plugged in! I'm also in love with how 4k works on a monitor of this size, but I have to admit opening maximized window (ex: browser) on this guy feels like you have such a ridiculously amount of screen space. In fact, some web pages will look odd at first, because they don't go edge to edge on your monitor, like you're probably used to. This is really nice, though, in being able to open multiple browser windows and being able to see both on the screen at the same time (i.e. w/o having to alt-tab back and forth between windows). Overall, I'm loving 4k, and love that this doubles as a backup-power supply for my laptop.
