We were looking for a new desktop computer and this HP had everything we were looking for. It's sleek and stylish, compact, easy to expand, very easy to use, includes plenty of 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports, Windows 8.1, easy to set up, and a very quiet fan. We were focusing on the computer and didn't notice it came with a keyboard and mouse so that was a really nice surprise when we opened the box. We are very pleased with this purchase and recommend it highly. I waited to post a review to give an honest opinion after using it for a while.

I bought it for my son to use for school and gaming. It works great for school, it has fast transition between screens and programs but the graphics card was not good enough for the games he plays so he installed a better graphic card. Over all it is a good computer, I would recommend it for every day use.

With its 12 gb of RAM and Intel core i5 processor it handles every task effortlessly. From some gaming to heavy usage it is a snappy device (specially with Windows 8). It is my first time using this operative system and I'm satisfied with it. Something that I didn't like about this PC is the graphics card (Intel HD 4400) it is a very basic/entry level and can't handle heavy resources games such as witcher 2 at low. Maybe in the future I'll change the graphics card with an Nvidia or AMD. This card is good for low resource gaming and movies but not for heavy gaming. Other than that, the computer is just great (especially the 2tb hard drive... It's gonna take me a while to fill that up!). I loved it!

This computer is by far the fastest one I have owned. It takes less than 60 seconds to boot and get on the net. It comes with plenty of memory, and 8 USB ports. Also has an excellent price.

This is my 13th HP PC between desktops and laptops. I used to upgrade every year for fun and to have the newer technology, but that stopped with Windows 8, which was a disaster for me. Windows 10 is amazing and sent me looking for my first new PC in several years. This tower had the memory and hard drive sizes I was looking for, was a great buy at $699.99, and is speedy and snappy. It upgraded to Windows 10 right out of the box. My HP printer connected automatically during the upgrade, which I thought was cool. It came with a wireless mouse and keyboard which freed some of those ugly wires from my desk. It runs all my home programs and even the few old school games I play (Civilization 5). The Windows 10 Operating system is the best I have ever used. This feels like the fastest computer I have ever used.

In the winter of 06, I bought a Dell Inspiron (custom made) & it lasted immaculately for almost ten years before the hard drive got overloaded & crashed. I went back to find a PC with the capabilities, RAM & built-in storage that would virtually ensure this never happened again. I think I found that PC in the HP Envy! Its super-fast, super-quiet, & has a TON of storage (not to mention an additional terabyte I had loaded in addition). With me being an upcoming producer & musician, the Beats setup is tailor-made for exactly what I needed. I've been raving to anyone listening about this device & look forward to making beautiful music for years to come. Thanks!

I use my HP Envy for personal and business tasks. With a Core i5 processor and 12 GB of RAM, it is powerful enough, and fast enough, to take care of all the things I ask of it, from managing office accounting and word processing to dealing with photographs and other graphics chores. And with 2 TB of storage, I can consider that almost unlimited for my needs. I've had nothing but HP machines, notebooks, desktops and printers, for some time. I have not been disappointed. And I'm certainly not now.

I bought this HP Envy because my old computer was starting to have alot of issues. Brought it home and hooked it up and took right off. Quiet as a church mouse is this computer .I was even able to remove the hard drive from my old computer( actually 2) and put it in the extra slots provided. Also has lots of usb ports if you have an external hard drive. Came with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Everything was seamless.

Never had an HP before, always Dell and Gateway. I have had HP Printers and always loved them. It was easy to hook up and start up which is huge for me since I am not tech savvy. My son says it is great for the games he does and I love all the space on it. It was a good last tower to buy before everything goes to all in ones. Priced very reasonable.

I got the computer for its memory (12gb) and drive space (1TB). Windows 8 is annoying, but once I got a 3rd party start menu it was okay. (I used the one from pokki.com). Where it really annoys me is in two places: 1) Disk IO is painfully slow! This is mildly annoying but not fatal in most cases, but it absolutely stinks when using the disk for memory swap space. It was taking countable seconds for pages to scroll or to switch tabs in an application. To help with this I turned off disk swapping to memory. It will limit how many programs I can be running at once, and I need to be aware of bloatware that loads and sits there on startup, but if I keep that under control it will be fine. 2) The computer won't sleep unless I disconnect network access. If I try to put the computer to sleep without disabling my network adapter (I use a hard connection for speed) It will sleep for a few minutes and then wake up. It also will not go to sleep on its own (i,e, after a set length of keyboard inactivity.) I would also like to be able to Hibernate rather than sleep. Overall -- it's ... okay... I can squeeze it to do what I want, and it fit into a limited budget, but I would not buy it again.

I bought this computer to replace a 10 year old one. I like going up to my office and using a desktop. I use a PC at work so wanted to stick with what I know. I really don't do anything too high powered like gaming, but this computer is fast and so far I love it. What I really wanted was to buy a computer that I will not have to replace in the next 5 years minimally. This computer has the capability to add more memory and be repaired unlike some out of the box ones that if they break or you lose a hard drive you just have to throw it away and get a new one.

has enough of ram to run multiple programs and 2TB hard drive has room for everything you want to put on it without slowing down computer, haven't had any problems since turning it on, I only wish it had windows 7 instead of 8.1

I will start by saying that I am in no way a computer geek - I was not real thrilled with the decision to upgrade from my old XP to Windows 8 especially after reading many reviews. However, I finally decided on this desktop and have been pleasantly pleased. I remember the "book" of setup instructions that came with my XP and got very nervous with the one page instruction I received with this one. I was able to set it up and get it running in a matter of minutes. I was even able to connect to the internet without issues! All updates performed without a hitch and I was soon able to access my email. Windows 8 has not been much of an issue as it is very similar in function to my cell phone apps. I do still get turned around trying to access my files and where things go when downloaded but the whole experience has been great. The computer is so easy to use and I love the wireless keyboard and mouse. It is so much FASTER too than the old XP machine. Beats Audio is a great addition also. I LOVE MY HP!

Sometimes you just don't need an all-in-one with touch screen and this computer proves that. Paired with a two monitors, it becomes a great workstation with all the right parts - fast processor, lots of memory and lots of hard drive space. No regrets.
