Replaced my 15 year old desktop with this HP model. Couldn't be happier with the speed and performance of this PC. The Geek Squad transferred the data from my old hard drive to this one in store. I would recommend this HP hands down.

HP Envy Desktop 32 GB -- I like it

My desktop was very old and I desperately needed a new one. I used the "compare" tool on bestbuy.com to compare this HP Envy Desktop to others, including another Envy Desktop with less GB. I bit the bullet and invested in this more expensive one as I have a lot of videos and need the space. I like the smaller size of this desktop, and the speed cannot be beat (especially compared to the speed of an older computer that was lagging). What I am experiencing now, when the system is dormant overnight, is lag time in the system waking up when I move the mouse or touch the space bar to activate it. Previously, it was immediate. I don't know if it has anything to do with my system set-up or if this delay is a reflection of wear and tear, which would be disappointing to experience so soon after having it.

The computer itself has been excellent. It comes closest to being an affordable replacement for the self-assembled desktop I've been using for the last 10 years.
But the user information which came with the computer is simply inadequate, and not well backed up with model-specific online help either.
The instructions for adding SSDs or HDs are useful only in combination with trial and error disassembly. That's too bad, because the computer is cleverly designed for simple modification once you get beyond the text-free ambiguous diagrams. (They probably work fine for an engineer already familiar with the product.)
Further, HP online resources defy a match with a particular model out of the many similar ones HP has marketed.
For example, one of my challenges has been with port interpretation. Ports are identified with arcane symbols hardly visible anywhere but on a brightly lighted location at eye level. A simple diagram of port locations would make things easy, but none came with the computer and the only ones I could find online were for other models. That small deficiency is even more irritating when you are making connections on the back by feel.
These problems are small potatoes compared with the excellent performance so far of the machine, and I'd take off only half a star if I could.

I purchased this computer a few weeks ago, and I absolutely love it. The performance is incredibly fast, and I’m surprised by some reviews advising against it for gaming. So far, I’ve downloaded and played Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Counter-Strike, and all of them run flawlessly without any lag or issues. If you’re considering this computer for gaming, I highly recommend it.

This computer is great, with 32 ram in the memory, multitasking is not an issue. The 1TB SSD hard drive is nice, but if you have a lot of photos and music files, you may want to get a larger hard drive installed. It boots up quick which is nice, so you can get things done quickly. Windows 11 takes a little getting used to for your operating system. The graphics card is great with a wonderful display of colors. If you still have discs that you use to play games and music, you may want to purchase an external optical disc drive to use them. Connecting to the internet is very easy with this computer. It also has built in Bluetooth, so if you want to connect your Bluetooth devices to it, there is no problem in doing that. Also with 8 USB ports, you can plug your USB devices with ease. I got mine during Black Friday sales, and I was able to save some money on it. With its compact design it will sit on any desktop. It comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse. It has only one HMDI port for your monitor. It is a great machine.

It's a well performing desktop with plenty of memory. Windows 11 home wouldn't be a best choice if you need remote desktop to access this PC from somewhere or remote to your other PC. I upgraded it to windows 11 pro which cost me about $11. Just search for it on internet. With all that hardware it does statter sometimes, and I had my monitor going dark for no reason. I think it's something with video card as all cables were properly connected. I had to restart PC to get video back. Also connecting Bluetooth headphones doesn't always make you hear sound even when you hear connected notification. Sometimes I had to reopen the app like Netflix to get sound working or open sound settings to just click around, no matter what. I do like app that connect your phone so you can copy confirmation codes to apps when required. It also helped that I got it on Black Friday, for just around 11 hundreds.

After doing extensive research to find a cutting edge replacement for my trustworthy HP Pavilion HPE i& Intel Cpu powered PC, I discovered this HP - Envy Desktop - Intel Core i7 - 32GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 - 1TB SSD. It looks like a computer equivalent to an F35 stealth fighter incorporating the latest Nvidia and Intel chips, plus 32GB Ram and 1TB SSD hard drive. I am very excited about getting my hands on this baby in contrast to my 14 year old HP which did have 16GB of Ram, and Intel i7 2.8 GZ cpu and an ASUS Radeon R9 290 graphics card (graphics card and 8GB of ram were upgrades). The Geek Squad will be doing the transfer at no charge as I upgraded my My Best Buy membership form Plus to Total. I will be getting this done next week and I will follow up with a report on the impact of the new generation tech.

This HP computer featuring 32 gigabytes of memory and a SSD hard drive of 1024 gigabytes for plenty of data storage is super fast at multitasking and is definitely a must buy.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card is also a big reason I purchased this PC for stunning images on a monitor that supports 4K, making it great for gaming and 4K streaming.
Good value and highly recommend this PC.

nice little unit. would work nicer if it had a dvd drive built in but the industry seems to be moving away from that. The speed and response is all there for my needs. have not loaded it up yet with any games but that will be further down the road.

The graphics card, processor and RAM have worked well for photo editing. I recently purchased a Nikon Z8 with 45 mp resolution. The larger files were pitting pressure on my laptop capability. The HP did the trick.

HP Envy Desktop Review

I purchased two HP Envy, Intel Core i7, Desktops with 1TB SSD, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA RTV 4060, and Windows 11 Home (upgraded to Pro), to replace my two old HP EliteDesk computers (both Windows 7 upgraded 2 times to Win 10 Pro) that I had been using for many years at my two homes. I had been shopping desktop comuter replacements for some time and the HP Envy Desktops I purchased provided very high technical value for the price point, making the purchase of two HP Envy Desktops quite affordable. I have been using the HP Envy Desktops for about 2 weeks now and I'm very satisfied with the display graphics and speed at which these HP Envy Desktops start-up, launch software, transfer files between computers and to cloud storage, and load web pages. I would definitely recommend the HP Envy Desktop computers for anyone looking for a great desktop computer value for the money.

I recently upgraded my setup with a new PC, and I couldn't be happier with the performance and overall experience. The build quality is fantastic, with a sleek design that blends perfectly with my workspace. What impressed me most is the speed and responsiveness—whether I'm multitasking, gaming, or working on demanding software, everything runs smoothly without a hitch.
The graphics and processing power are top-notch, providing crystal-clear visuals and handling heavy tasks like video editing and gaming effortlessly. The cooling system works efficiently, keeping the PC quiet and cool even during extended use. Setup was easy, and it's highly customizable, allowing me to upgrade components in the future.
Overall, this PC has exceeded my expectations, offering excellent value for money. If you're looking for a reliable, powerful, and stylish machine, I highly recommend this model!

Originally bought this PC for regular use, came with decent specs out of box and works flawlessly in CAD/CAM work( solid works, Mastercam). Ended up playing games on it daily and it runs well at 120fps does not lag. The 4060 isn't the most powerful GPU but its no slouch considering most people buying this set up aren't gaming a hole lot. Didn't mean to game on it either way but casual in gaming it does very well. For the money its a no brainer, wish it had more cooling power/ fans. but that's my only gripe about it.

Powerful and easy to navigate. Set-up was done by the Geeksquad but was easy to load programs at home. The 32 GB memory upgrade fro 16 was definitely worthwhile to load up other programs for work or play.

Very nice computer. Seems to be fast enough for me and does what it should. 2 things to be aware of; there's nocd/dvd drive (I had to buy an external) and it was difficult to find the right HDMI slot. I didn't realize that HDMI1 on the computer was not the correct one and needed to use the one on the video card.
