I need a good combo scanner/printer that won’t break the bank. This is it, installation and connection went smoothly and I am using it almost weekly on printing and scanning personal documents. I was able to instal the app on my phone and can print pictures in color we well :) I am thankful for the awesome reviews that made me decide on this product.

Inside the box was an offer for free ink. Once you sign up you can sign up for a plan where ink is sent to your home automatically before it runs out. Pictures print out beautifully too!!

Borderless printing

This printer wasn't easy to set up, but once it was set up, the first photo I printed came out borderless, which is what I wanted, and but the top of the image was cut off. It was a photo of a person, so the top of the head was cut off. The second photo came out fine. Then there was an update and now, no matter what size paper I use, no matter what photo software I use, or the HPsmart app, not only will it not print borderless, 3 of the sides have the same size border and the 4th is a wider border. I tried searching for a resolution, but it seems my only option is to in install everything, and reinstall. This is very frustrating. Besides all that, the user documentation is terrible.

Brand response from HP Team

Hi, Larry.
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve encountered such difficulty with printing borderless photos on your printer. Both scenarios you describe – a bad cut on a borderless print as well as unequal borders around the other type – seem equally frustrating. I would love to help you remedy this situation, so I’ll point you toward a resource and some information aimed at making that happen.
I can’t tell from your review why your printer has performed this way regarding borderless printing, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: - support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

Out of the box it took me approximately thirty minutes to set-up and download the printer software. Included with the printer is a six-foot,120v power cord, User Set-Up and Connection Guide, two (first-use) printing cartridges (*64 tri-color and *64 black), and five HP (4” x 6”) glossy photo papers. After connecting the printer directly to my laptop using Wi-Fi Direct (not through my network router) I selected five of my favorite pictures for photo printing. I anxiously waited as the printer queued-up. But, it only took about ninety seconds to print each 4” x 6” glossy photo. The professional quality of each printed photo, rich color, and striking detail blew me away. WoW!

After using the HP ENVY Photo 7155 AIO, daily, for over a week, I am convinced that this printer is probably one of the most versatile you can buy for home network use at its price point. For me the best attributes are the Wi-Fi Direct connections and the double-sided copying. In the Wi-Fi Direct options in the Dashboard I changed the settings from 'automatic' to 'manual', which allows me to use a special password (no one else knows) to access this printer. I did this to keep my kids from printing numerous photos. I already have a Wi-Fi home network, laserjet (black ink, cartridge only printer). My kids would use all of my glossy photo paper and tri-color ink cartridge up in one day without this extra protection over my regular, Wi-Fi home network. I am still on Wi-Fi, just don't go through my home network router. I am no longer King-Of-My-Castle, but definitely King-Of-My-Printer. WooHoo!
I highly recommend this feature-packed printer and especially for all its versatility for home use. It is an easy learning curve, and, fairly simple to operate. The Product Demo and 'How To Videos' gives me a visual Users' Manual on the printer that I can access anytime. Classes resume shortly, this would make a great gift for any college or serious high school student. It also is an outstanding purchase for anyone, who loves high quality photos, Mom, Dad, or Grandparents.

Reviewing the HP ENVY Photo 7155. I’m in love with any computer accessory that connects quickly to everything else I own, is easy to operate, and accomplishes the task without drama. In my family we want to print out photos of our grandkids from my wife’s iPad, our phones and our computer. I managed to get printouts of photos from 4 devices in the first hour, and it took that long because I wanted to try out various paper sizes to see how the HP 7155 handled its two paper trays.
So, yeah, I’m in love with the new HP. And I haven’t even discussed the print quality. I know you really want to get a dedicated, very multi-colored cartridge printer for truly professional quality looking large photos. But, you’d struggle to find problems with the nicely detailed, very colorful, and properly contrasty pictures that pop out of the HP Envoy. My pictures look better than many prints I’ve done at the local pharmacy photo lab. B&W printouts of dense contract text on standard paper was easy to read, looked professional and printed out wickedly fast.
The software for both my Mac computer and iOS devices was easy to use, was loaded with features and reliably accomplished every task. Print size was easy to control as was selecting the print tray. Just don’t forget to change it for your various projects. Use genuine photo paper for photo lab quality photos.
Highly recommended. The combination of Easy Setup, Flexible Connectivity, Great Pics is great.

Printer Quality

Printer Quality sucks and there are lines in every photo I print. Also there are bleed ink marks. I wish I never purchased this printer from Best Buy because now my time is up to return for another one. Also I called HP and it’s a foreign guy on the phone who wanted to hack inside my computer just to fix my printer & I said o no, not with my person stuff in my computer as I sometimes use it to pay my bills. Therefore that was no help.
