Not bad, but viewing angles are horrible

I purchased both the HP Envy 2 in 1 as an open box during last weeks sale and just got the Lenovo yesterday open box. Both are Intel Gen 11. I performed three different sets of performance tests and in all three the results were very similar with the Lenovo edging out the HP by a small margin. I wasn't sure if the I7 with 8 gb or the i5 with 12 gb would be the better performer. Now I know. Guess more memory makes a difference. Now as far as other differences, the screen on the HP has better colors and can get much brighter, but its a Sureview screen with terrible viewing angles. When its directly in front of you the display is really nice, but move slightly in any direction and its horrible. That's with Privacy mode off. With it on it gets much worse. I like the keyboard on the Yoga better though the HP keyboard isn't far behind. The fingerprint reader is better on the Lenovo. The Lenovo is slightly bigger and heavier but not by much. The display is 14" vs 13.3 on the HP. The HP has a better selection of ports, but that is easily resolved with a dongle. I like the moss green color of the Lenovo better then the gold on the HP. Build quality is probably slightly better on the HP, but its pretty close. Sound is a little better on the HP. I have decided to keep the Lenovo due to the following reasons: I would be saving money and get slightly better performance and much better viewing angles.

I’ve had it only 2 days now but it’s running great. Super easy setup. The screen is a little bit smaller than I was imagining (13.5 inches) but I wanted to make sure it was easily portable for college. My advice is if your wanting to use it for gaming go for the 15 inch screen or possibly bigger. Attractive design, I like it so far. I got it on the Black Friday sale and paid about $800 instead of $1,000. For $800 it’s a great deal considering the specs you get.

I am impressed with this unit! Build quality is superb. I have this unit and the similar Envy model with the Ryzen 7 chip. Performance for both is similar, which is to say quite good. Just keep in mind, this is not a gamer’s rig. But for anything else, it’s excellent. This model has the HP privacy mode screen - which doesn’t seem to work especially well - although the screen is rated at 1000 nits and can get very bright. This model also comes with the Intel wi-fi chip, which is definitely better than the Realtek wi-fi that gets paired with the Ryzen chip.

Bought for my elementary school child's online classes. Overpowered for that need but also using to play videos, let kids watch YouTube, Netflix, etc. Purchased during Black Friday sales so got good discount. Pros: Thunderbolt 4 port, 2 full size USB, touchscreen, NVMe SSD (upgradable), headphone port for child, 11th gen i7, aluminum frame (not cheaper and more bendable plastic) Cons: Only 8GB RAM (not upgradable), battery life decent, comes with barrel charger (not USB C charger).

Just a few days from purchase I can said is very fast little laptop perfect to run all my task as fast as a rocket. startup is just a few seconds and you are able to start to rock. Stunning display as a high end laptop and out side well finished. tablet mode works as well, battery life is about 4-5 running with downloads and software installation so far (high demanding mode). Love the idea to be charged by USB-C port as well, so I can use my Iphone 12 charger/cable to do it. Five starts to HP Envy line.

LOVE this Envy laptop. Recommended by the very knowledgeable employee helping multiple customers on the floor while still being attentive! Light weight computer with a rose gold tint. I couldn’t ask for a better appearance. The speed is crazy and I definitely needed the space it offers. The envy is a product I would recommend to anyone looking to do courses, photography editing, graphic designing, or gaming! The first investment I’ve mad regarding my business and it’s by far the best investment!
