This printer has been one of the easiest to get up and running. Set up and network connection went just as outlined in the instructions. Connected up first time. Print quality is excellent. Prints fast and reliable. The only cons that I have noticed is the paper tray capacity, no tray add on capabilities and no single sheet feed tray or support arms. These are little points though with easy work around options. The benefits such as: price, size, weight and ease of use more than make up for these couple of shortcomings.

It took a lot going to get this and that done . It seem everyone want you to send a fax or receive a fax. It stop going out to get copies , etc. Color copies come out looking like the original , as do the black and white copies. Great clarity.

I was a little skeptic about switching to a laser printer but after the easy install and Wi-Fi connect I printed several pages using various textures of paper and I was very happy with the results.

Printing is of excellent quality. Wireless printing works great between my desk computer and the printer in the same room but is less consistent from my iPad in another room.

When documents are scanned to USB, it scans them into one file, very user-friendly.

Very happy with my printer! Easy to scan, easy to print (especially like wireless feature and printing both sides of paper), great print quality even on draft mode. And the printing speed is fantastic!

I've had a bw laser HP 5p since the 90's, had no issues with it, still a solid printer. But lacked wireless printing, no color, and i no longer had a computer with a parallel port . I know could have got an adapter, but baahhh! Up till now i've had numerous inkjets for color printing, they don't seem to last for me. partially i don't print enough color, so ink dries and then it needs to be cleaned; a bit of a pain compared to a laser. My reason for holding out until now has been price. This new color laserjet had the features i wanted and a price point i could deal with. Was easy to setup... I have it setup via wireless to our house network, so we can print from any number of devices throughout the house. Nice printer.

After reading reviews I decided to take a chance. Glad I did. The Holiday price for this unit with a $50 BB card was a good deal. Setup was a breeze. I connected to my network by Ethernet, but the wireless option is not hard either if you have ever connected other wireless devices before. I usually download the updated software for any item like this instead of using the packaged disc, however the installed software from the disc automatically checks for updated software during install. Other reviews complain about the small amount of paper capacity for the tray. True! If you are a heavy user, a ream a week, then this is not the printer for you. For those who use less, like me, then the tray capacity is a non issue. Print quality is excellent. Some complain about the noise. It is no more noisy than any other laser printer. Toner cost is a little on the high side, so wait for a sale and stock up. The scanner works well and produces a quality image. The copier also works as well, especially if using the document feeder for multiple pages. I'm only two weeks in, so if anything changes, I will update this review.

This is the first laser printer we have purchased. There is such a difference between the laser and ink jet. It was on a really great sale that we couldn't pass up. So glad we made the purchase. We only gave 4 stars because the original instructions to connect are horrible. Throw them away and let your computer do the hook up! Also a little cumbersome to scan docs. Links to iPad and iPhone great but not our older desk top. Just an annoying work around but the quality is fabulous.

I've been a lifelong inkjet printer user before I bought this multifunction laser printer. After having used this printer I will never go back to an inkjet. This printer is fast compared to an inkjet and the text and graphics are crisp (no jagged lines). It's also nice that should you accidentally handle your prints with wet hands, the ink does not smear.
I like that the printer doesn't take up too much space and it doesn't look like un ugly copy machine you find at most businesses. The wireless function works great and was fairly easy to setup. The only negative for some people might be the paper capacity. I believe it holds about 200 or so sheets, but I might be wrong. However, that doesn't bother me because I'm not printing 50 sheets at a time and I don't mind refilling the paper tray.
Overall I really am happy with my purchase and I think it's a great printer.

I have always had inkjet printers simply because laser jets have been too expensive and inkjets are better for photos, but inkjet printers need to be used constantly or the heads/jets get plugged up and you end up spending more money on ink than the printer cost. This HP(m277dw) set up flawlessly! From unboxing, to downloading the software on my MacBook, to using, took 15 minutes and went without any issues. The moment I hit the print button, it wakes up and prints within seconds and is quieter than my inkjets. The printer is rather heavy, but I'll use the old adage that heavy means quality...right?! The footprint is about the same if not a tad smaller that my inkjet was. The color is actually white, not gray like the description says. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I haven't had the chance to test the scanning or mobile device printing yet. If that works well, then I would give it 5 stars.

So far the printer works well but I am not WOWED by its performance. It was very easy to set up as others have stated and the colors are very clear. I downloaded the drivers from the website and it was really easy - no problems. It is not too heavy to pick up by yourself and it is small enough to tuck away in the corner of a desk. The biggest downside is the touchscreen. It is very small and difficult to navigate because it often does not recognize your finger. Sometimes it takes several attempts to get it to print or copy using the screen. The other downside is that it is a little slow If you print using WiFi. I do not know if it is faster using a USB cable. Overall it is meeting my needs but I am not using it heavily - just for home office light printing. I bought it on sale and the price was excellent so I cannot complain. I do hate that it does not copy double sided - I am probably going to purchase a black and white copier to that. Hope this review helps.

Having purchased many, many printers this is the best I have bought for my home office. Quiet, fast, easy to install. Prints excellent color or black and white. I have never loved any printer, but getting away from an inkjet is great. No more dried cartridges. Five Stars!

I have experience with HP's small desktop LaserJets all the way from the Laserjet 4 to the 400 Pro, with mostly positive results. This unit is a new design, targeted at users who need occasional printing, but don't like the page yields they get from an inkjet. Lasers have a higher acquisition cost, though, so could this thing save you some money in the long run, or is it a device without a market?
My impressions thus far have been very good. It's a good-looking printer, and the pages it prints look great. Photo prints are about what you would expect from a laser - inaccurate midtone reproduction being the biggest problem. The scanner, however, is excellent. It's fast and quiet, much better than the OfficeJet I used previously. The ability to scan directly to a flash drive is a plus, and it saves documents as a PDF by default. Setup is easy, although you do have to download the software from HP's website to your PC.
Cons? Well, it can't do legal from the tray, and the tray capacity is only slightly bigger than most inkjets. The toner cartridges are small too, but if your page count is a couple thousand a month you'll want a business-class unit anyway. Other minor quibbles include the fan noise when it's running at full tilt, and the fact that it goes into "sleep" mode after a while, which turns the WiFi antenna off. This is a setting that you can modify up to 8 hours - but not CANCEL - which is a known gripe on HP's forums.
I still like this printer a lot - it's a good quality product from a reputable nameplate - and recommend it if it meets your needs. Small business owners may want to go up one level in the HP lineup. Home / home office users who prefer or need color laser printing may find it a viable option. I did.

This was the first laser printer I have purchased for home use. This device was easy to setup out of the box. Many features can be configured through the web interface and through the physical console. Compatible with Google cloud print which was not listed on the box. I bought this to replace a inkjet due to low quantity of printing I do. Not dealing with drying ink and clogged print heads due to lack of usage is what I wanted to go for. Print speed for this device is much faster then the previous inkjet I owned and not having to worry about smearing the ink has been a high point for this printer. Glad I made this choice and looking forward to getting every page out of the cartridges.

Purchased to replace an Epson inkjet that kept having issues. This HP meets our needs for both Color and B&W printing. Easy setup and install. Low maintenance, quiet, fast, efficient. Only thing keeping this rating from 5 stars slight network hiccup. If I send a job to the printer while it is in sleep mode, I have to manually “wake up” the printer by pressing any button. I’d prefer that the submission of the print job would wake the printer. Overall, very satisfied with this printer and would purchase again.

Setup was straightforward as long as you use a wired computer. The printer does not like dual-band wi-fi routers so you will need to split the 2.4 ghz signal from the 5 ghz. After that everything went fine. Print quality is excellent, and will print a double sided color document in about the same time not less than it would take to print a single sided doc from my old inkjet. Be careful opening the printer doors for maintenance (jams, toner replacement) as everything seems a bit thin and flimsy - a trade-off to keep the printer footprint smaller.

This was to replace an ink Jet printer and I am glad I did. Wireless setup was easy and does duplex printing. Unfortunately it can not copy a 2 sided document. Still using the trial toner so I have not purchased the replacement cartridges yet. That will be painful. Purchased printer from Best Buy because of price. It was on sale.

I am very pleased with my LaserJet Pro M277DW color printer. Setup was easy and I really enjoy using the wireless print capability from my IOS devices. Have used the scan, copy and print functions and have not setup the fax feature and probably will not. I have used the printer for a couple of months with no complaints.
