Gets the job done. Working from hime needed something that would last. So far very nice quick quiet machine.

My inkjet printer seemed to need new cartridges about every 20 or 30 pages, since it wasn't being used frequently. Because of the ink costs, I avoided printing. The new M454dw will hopefully be much less expensive to use. The setup was quite easy. There was one screen where I waited for a long time for a step to complete, and finally I scrolled and found a button that needed to be clicked to get to the next step. I was very happy discovering how easy it was to print from my android tablet and phone. I haven't yet discovered a printer driver to get it to print from my Arch Linux laptop without using a usb cable connection. The setup to print from my wife's Windoze computer was also easy.

PROS Take a picture on your smartphone, HP Smart print it directly on your printer. Email your printer things to print. Very fast startup from sleeping. This model has both WiFi and Internet connections. Has four colors (CMYK), so you can print black (K) and not form from color toners. Low emissions so safe for use at home. CONS Not fun to set up. 600dpi is not great for printing photos. Big so not easy to hide away. Heavy so not portable.

I was looking to upgrade my laser printer and chose this one because of all of the great reviews. This is the most problematic printer that I have ever owned. I had an HP Laserjet Pro M283cdw before this and had no serious issues. I purchased this m454dw a couple of weeks ago. The color quality is excellent and it is easy to install. The numerous errors and issues however are overwhelming. Every time I try to print, I get an error message that it is out of paper even though it is not out of paper. The only way I can print is to restart the spooler. It will not print a cleaning page; it freezes every time it is on the cleaning screen. It also is very very slow to print even if you are only printing black text. It cleans after every single page. It also will pop up in window and tell me that there is no driver found. I have now had to reinstall it three times. I needed a reliable printer for full color labels. While the color is much better than my M283cdw, this printer is everything that is wrong with HP hardware. All of the time I am spending troubleshooting errors is not worth the low price.

I replaced my 12-year-old HP color laser with this, and I could not be happier. It is very fast, from the first page out to multiple pages. The color and black and white print quality is great. It is smaller and quieter. It was very easy to set up. I highly recommend this printer.

I am so excited to share that my HP - Laser Jet Pro M454dw Wireless Color Laser Printer is one of the BEST printers that I have purchased. It very easy to install, the quality of the prints are of course amazing and it was delivered quickly! The ONLY hang up I have is that the size of it was bigger than I expected, so I had to make room on my desk for it. So if you have room for it, be sure to look at the size, great purchase for the price and quality!

We haven't used this product a lot, yet, but so far this printer seems good. It was easy to set up and prints nice, clear, sharp, & bright copies quickly & effortlessly, without costing too much. My only complaint is that it does not come with the drivers, right out of the box. I find it annoying that I have to go online to download the driver, but I guess that is the norm nowadays.

Easy to set up right out of the box. A bit on the heavy side. The prints are great. I couldn't be happier. I'm expecting my printer woes to be abated for some time now.

Recently I was appalled to find that my several years old HPColor Laser Printer had been obsoleted by a recent Mac software update. It worked perfectly and gave me no problems.Nevertheless, I was forced to buy another and given my good experience with my current printer I decided to get another HP. I settled on this model and couldn't be happier. Set up was a breeze, it is lightning fast and produces excellent documents.

If you are looking for a great color laser printer at a great price, look no further. I own my own business, and this printer is great for printing invoices, marketing materials and anything else where a high quality, professional looking print is needed. This is a wireless printer, but I have mine hardwired to the network...and it is nice to have both options as well as the standard USB connection.

The printer is compact and easy to install. The color prints are very good.

Love this printer. Very fast, and dependable. Has a robust set of very usable features, without getting bogged down with unnecessary bells and whistles. Great macgine for 'doing' things. Handles envelopes and THICK card stock like a champ.

Best decision to buy this printer! I bought a similar version that had to be hard wired to the internet connection. It works great but must be near WiFi unit. I bought this for my wife and put it in her office and set it up in minutes. Wireless connection to WiFi and fast and easy printing! Highly recommend!

I use this for home use and for my children for school. So, I need quality prints, quickly, and I want it to do so without a lot of mechanical noise. This printer does all of that. I also will print on both side of the paper ( I haven't tried this yet). Cost per cartridge is very shocking! Looking at cost per printed sheet 0.023 / sheet for this printer VS my older HP (CP2025DN) which is 0.038 / sheet using black toner. I'm very happy with this printer. Note plugging in a wired network cable will turn off the WiFi. Since I will not use WiFi this was a plus for me.

The printer works great. It prints fast and connects to WiFi without issues. The only reason I rated it a 4 is because the printer cartridges are so expensive. If you don’t want to waste the color then print in black and white.

This hp color laserjet printer is absolutely awesome. The print quality is very good. The setup was very easy. I was printing with beautiful results within minutes of unpacking the printer. I would recommend this printer to a friend.

Bought it for home and school use. Works awesome, no issues and super quick and easy to set up. It’s replacing my 10 year old brother inkjet printer, but it’s just as easy to use. It prints fast and quality is good.

Was able to easily connect this to our wi-fi, so any device in our house can print, regardless of what room its in. Great quality. Highly recommend.

The printer was essentially ready to go straight out of the box. A printer cable is enclosed but I set mine up wirelessly, which only took minutes to do. The machine prints very quickly and the picture quality is quite good. The documentation indicated that the enclosed color cartridges were good for about 1,200 copies, about half the capacity of the full sized replacement cartridges. I have been quite happy with this purchase so far. I have a separate scanner so didn't need a scanner / fax / copier feature, which is available in other models but at a higher cost.
