This is my second HP OfficeJet Pro 6978. My old one developed a print head problem which could not be fixed. Otherwise it stills works. Gave it to my neighbor. I like all the features: auto duplex, separate cartridges for black, red, blue and yellow: faxes, scans, wireless, prints, copies, used different sizes and types of paper including envelops and labels. Can print from my iPhone. The HP Instant Ink Program is great and cost effective. It lets you know when it is time up update.

I haven't been able to use this product as much as I intended to up to this point, but the times I have it's been a gem. Quick and efficient. HP never fails to be a good quality product. It seems to offer durability and convenience in one product. The great and extremely convenient feature I love is the ability to print from my cell phone even if I'm not home. If I'm running errands and happen upon an article or document that I need to have, a few clicks later it's done and I'll have it there for me when I get home. Storage is extremely convenient as well. It takes up minimal space and I'm able to move it with absolute ease. It has been stationed in multiple locations in my apartment already. This is a great product for the personal use or small business needs.

This printer is wonderful. I love it. The quality printing both color and black and white is excellent! Have used it for copies and scans as well. I would recommend purchasing this printer to anyone who wants a quality product.

Great printer. I needed a small fast printer with hardwire fax. I bought another printer first but the display was too small. Second time was a charm! Great price great printer and compact enough.

I spent almost a week analyzing specs on almost every brand and model under $250, looking for best affordable printer based on scan/copy/print resolution, loader/feeder/output paper capacity, pages per minute vs time to first page, expected pages and cost per cartridge/tank, etc. Analysis paralysis kept me changing my mind which to keep in my shopping cart, and even placed orders that I later canceled before shipping. In the end, what sold me on the HP6978 was the price being less than most of my earlier choices, the local BestBuy had this in stock ready to bring home, and best of all - unlike any other previous favorite - the HP6978 has a duplex automatic sheet feeder for copying two-sided originals. I love that feature, which might actually get used once or twice a month. The most pleasant surprise after getting it set up at home was that, although the highest automatic sheet feeder scan resolution is only a disappointing 300 dpi (flatbed allows up to 1200), I needed a powerful magnifying glass to see the difference between test originals vs printed PDF scanned at 300. The colors are excellent, too. I suspect the setup calibration, which includes scanning a page it just printed, is probably responsible for making sure the scanned colors of output copies perfectly match the scanned colors of the original down to the tiniest pixels. Also, this printer also has a superior appearance and solid feel — a much higher quality impression than others even within the HP brand that I almost purchased, which felt like they were built with thinner plastic to save shipping cost. Bottom line, I give this 5 stars and thank my lucky stars that other earlier choices were out of stock.

I am very thrilled with every aspect of this printer. This model was recommended by the Best Buy employee and I am elated that I took her advice. It was very easy to install. The ink, although I did not initially want a printer with separate cartridges for each color group, is working out just fine. Although I print almost everyday, I am still using the cartridges that came with the printer. The pages print quickly and I have not had any paper jams. I do print almost everything in grayscale, however, the few pages I printed in color are clear and vibrant. I have no complaints and would recommend this printer to anyone that asks.

I purchased HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 after a year of trying to make Epson XP410 print correctly. After many head cleanings and realigning, and many ink purchases, it never happened, the Epson is a worthless printer. The HP OfficeJet Pro was so simple to set-up on both laptops and my iPhone. After downloading the drivers, the wireless, in the printer, saw my router and asked for the password, no configuration. My second laptop found the new printer and I printed without downloading any drivers. I downloaded the free iPhone app and printed from my iPhone immediately. And the print is dark and clear!!

This is a great printer that not only is fast but it prints great colors and on top of that it's so easy to use. I wouldn't think twice of recommending it to anyone looking for a great quality printer at a great price. I purchased it for my wife and she is just trilled with it. I also enrolled in the HP's Instant Ink plan which seems to be working out great as we have already received refill ink cartridges. So all in all I recommend not only this printer but the HP Instant ink program as well. The combination of the HP ink and their special photo paper produces some great photo printing, not only sharp but great color matching too.

I bought this printer to replace an older 8 year old HP ink jet printer. Granted, the 8 year old printer didn't break--it was just old and obsolete (took forever to print). Now that my kids are older and print out more papers for school and projects, I thought I would donate my printer and upgrade to a newer version. This printer has everything and more! Super fast printing and set-up was a breeze. The two-sided printing was automatic and that was a nice surprise. The only thing I'm worried about is how much the ink replacement will cost, but to be honest that stuff is never cheap. We use the wireless/wi-fi printing option from our MacBooks, Chromebooks and iPhones and we love the convenience of it. Another bonus was that it fit in the same spot the old printer did on our bookshelf...just a little bigger but with the paper tray a lot sleeker without the extra paper dangling out of it.

We were unsure at first about going with HP and the whole "Instant Ink" deal. Setup was a breeze, on every device!! Setting up Instant Ink was simple. The device is sleek ,space saving and most of all prints great photos too!! So far I have only printed 4X6 photos but I am going to give an 8.5X11 photo paper a shot this evening and I have very high expectations. As for scanning I give it a 9/10. Copy is spot on. The top feed works great and it hold a nice amount of paper. Web I am still getting used to but so far its seems to be a great feature. Overall I give this printer 5 ***** STARS*****

Easy to set up. Has its own email address to send documents that need to be printed, prints on both sides and prints very fast. I use this for school.

It works well a little loud easy hook up about 20 minutes

I love this printer. The printer has no issues printing and I love that there is a screen to touch, therefore the printer can be used via the app on the phone or touchscreen. So far the ink usage is fair and I love the program that sends out additional ink when low. The only issue I had so far is the first printer sold to me stop working within about 2 weeks. But I had no issues since exchanging the product. I definitely recommend getting a warranty just in case.

Great printer. Easy to setup and use. Using the app is great. Love that you can set up the email that send a job directly to the printer.

This is by far my favorite printer. My sister goes to school and I constantly need vivid accurate colors when printing. Highly recommended if you have the space

Love the ability to use the front and back of a page. Never connected and needing to do maintenance before every use.
