I bought some alien brand of gaming PC but it had serious hardware failure so I decided to try an HP Omen and I'm really happy I did. The specs speak for themselves, the design in minimal and not obnoxious and for a mass OEM build there is a lot of attention to detail. The PC is fast, stable and capable of great gaming experiences. I did swap out the spinning drive for a Crucial SSD and besides being faster it also reduced a lot of noise that was getting picked up through the case frame. A note about cooling, there are slots in the side panel and huge opening on the floor of the case. If you block this PC into a narrow slot like old computer desk have, you are going to have high temps. If you sit this PC on carpet or a soft mat and the feet sink into it, you'll block the main air inlet and you'll have high temps. But if you sit in on a tile or wood floor, or a hard surface desk you'll get plenty of air flow. I've spent hours playing many demanding games, 3D Mark and SuperPi torture test and outside of the most demanding benchmarks the CPU and GPU rarely break 72c and generally stay in the high 60s, which are totally safe temps for both. I've played a ridiculous amount of Doom 2106, Black Mesa, Borderlands 3 and more with no temp issues. The fans do ramp up, but not the worst I've heard by far. Also note you can top mount a 120mm exhaust fan if you are having serious issues and there is a 4 pin power connector at the top edge of the motherboard so you can let the BIOS control the speed. I would not hesitate to recommend Omen PCs and accessories, great quality and stylish builds

This thing runs Modern warfare at 200 frames. It’s absolutely unbelievable. Make sure to download the MSI afterburner app and change the fan settings. Once you do this it will not go over 60 degrees Celsius when gaming. Absolute monster of a PC.

To keep it short, you will not have any issues with this computer! It’s super fast, it’s really smooth with any video game, and not only do you have a 1 terabyte or memory, you will also have a 500 gygabytes of SSD Memory. It’s an amazing PC, one of the best first PC’s I’ve ever had.

I was trying to decide if I wanted to build or buy a new computer and after researching I decided to just buy. after buying all your components, you still have to put it together. price worked out to be a little more, didn't want to spend that kind of time. so I settled on the obelisk. PROS: was easy to set up, HP omen command center will allow you to overclock your processor, haven't done that yet (voids the warranty). very clean looking build, looks really good. I've seen a lot of bad reviews on youtube about overheating issues, I don't seem to have any. 75 deg. F. room temp. It did get hot when I played my first game, to be expected. break in time. been running cooler since then. when I saw the power supply located in the bottom of the case, I was worried but no problems. good design, well engineered. has Internal bay for third HDD with wiring already in place. CONS: not a fan of windows 10, HP really cheaped out on the motherboard, only 1 PCI slot, taken up by the graphics card. there are several other options on this board that could be there, if chips and connectors were soldered into place. No CD drive, without drive it would be nice to have more USB ports. ALL IN ALL, nice computer, really fast, good bang for your buck.

This system has it all, great internal storage, graphics card, I did add more memory, but I already had a compatible chip... So, no out of pocket. The system is so fast I can play and stream at the same time without issue. Great amount of PC for the money.

Gift to 14 year old. So in his own words... -LEDs are cool lighting affects. -Stays pretty cool even after online gaming for hours and hours. -“Omen Control Center” UI is always up to date, easy to use, and works well. -Has plenty of storage for all stored games. -Wicked fast -Also hasn’t had crash issues, even with daily use. -Video graphics , refresh, and speed are amazing, but “he” needs a better monitor (using older tv) or multiple monitors to take full advantage of graphics card potential. -OE keyboard and mouse are ok, but not gamer approved. They were replaced with Razor Mamba Elite mouse and Ducky One2 Mini keyboard. Not that the included keyboard and mouse did t work. They are now used for laptop dock station in office for a different computer.

I purchased this to get read for the new Flight Simulator coming and wanting 4K graphics to run at 60fps. So far with Division 2 and some other games it’s run flawlessly. I’m not disappointed at all. I threw on another 16GB of memory just to make it run amazing. You won’t be disappointed a month in at least.

I was nervous at first about spending $1000 + on a computer but I knew it would be worth it. I'm new to gaming pcs but I also wanted to use this for video editing, digital art, video streaming and especially VR game play. I have the original HTC Vive and this computer runs VR very smoothly. I played stuff like VR chat etc and it runs very well. When the computer is downloading files its very quick and efficient. I would recommend occasionally spraying it with a dust cleaner like a can of air to make sure the fans and crevices aren't dusty. When the computer is running a lot of programs at once like say 10 tabs in Google Chrome, Filmora 9, and Steam VR, it still runs smoothly, sometimes because of the demanding visuals in VR it may run the fan a little harder but its not too loud and I have the computer sitting on top of my desk to make it easier to vent. As far as the USB ports go the two in the front are good but since they are kind of higher up on the computer I would recommend longer USB wires or put your external drive up on a small box or something next to the computer to make up for any shorter wires. The main issue I had was not too hard to fix. The computer only has one HDMI port but 4 display-ports. I don't know about other people but I mainly have HDMI wires laying around for my PS4/Xbox One or my TV for example. The way I fixed this was I just simply got a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter and it fixed the issue. I currently have a small LED TV as my display and the TV is plugged into my DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. My original HTC Vive is plugged directly into the only HDMI port on the PC. I tried using a USB to HDMI adapter, which worked, but after a software update for the Vive, it gave me errors saying that the Vive and the TV had to be plugged into the same graphics card connection. So that is why if you are using Steam VR I would recommend using the DisplayPort to HDMI adapter for your TV/monitor and plug your Vive/VR headset directly into the only HDMI port. I have no issues now. One last tip is if you are trying to locate the faster USB ports on the back, they are the ones that have a small number 10 next to the USB symbol. For some reason my wireless mouse hasn't been working that well with my PC so I may just go back to wired. It may just be the mouse, although it works fine on my older HP laptop. I also recommend that if you have many devices you would like to plug in but don't have enough USB ports, you could always get one of those USB power strips/extenders that you can plug in many devices.

I was looking at updating my HP all in one from 2008. I was going to buy another all in one but a best buy associate offered a desk top which cost less with everything I had to purchase then the all in one. I purchased on sale. I did replace the keyboard and mouse to a wireless. I purchased this HP for the graphics card since I needed the computer for photography. It is super fast and quiet. I have all my photography programs on this computer and it still runs fast and efficiently

I would say that it has treated me mostly well the last two years. I would recommend immediately swapping to a more spacious case so that you have room for more fans. The Tight space in this case and how close the gpu is to the power supply is where I imagine why my gpu kept overheating. One cpu fan and one exhaust fan isn’t sufficient to me either. I’ve since moved to a lian li XL and cooling is great. Also the mother board does not have enough fan headers. I’m going to have to run a hub off the Sysfan header for my additional fans.

I picked the Omen up to run CAD and Rendering software and it is doing a splendid job. The Omen is quick and able to handle anything that I have thrown at it. The build is good - a plastic case with the left side made of tempered glass. This side panel opens easily by pressing a button right behind it on the back of the case. Once you open the case all of the components look like they would be easy to access. I have changed out the 16GB of DDR ram for 32GB. The wired keyboard and mouse could be better and I swapped them for the wireless Microsoft keyboard and mouse I have. There are a number of ports to connect peripherals. I would recommend this desktop.

In the last 15 years I've had roughly 12 different desktops and laptops. Each had their own benefits. I purchased this system for gaming and web application pentesting. It has not disappointed. I play Fortnite with my son and able to use the highest settings on the game. This allows me to see across the map. I've seen improvements in other games I play as well. The system also allowed me to create virtual machines for my work purposes.
