I have been using this HP Spectre Laptop for about a month now, and I have to say that the upgrade to the 13 generation intel Raptor Lake is a big improvement over the 12th Generation Alder Lake.
FANS: I am very impressed on how quite the fans have been on this machine as it does not come on that frequently. When the fans kick on they are very quite almost a whisper level of noise. I like the screen size it makes reading the content very good and less scrolling on the pages.
SPEAKERS: The Speakers are quad speakers from Bang & Olufson, they are great but are not terrible, they are in the middle of the sound spectrum as just ok, there is a lot of room for improvements in this topic. For a name like Bang & Olufson they should be ashamed to not invest more in their quality of speakers.
Preinstalled Applications: HP please remove all the unnecessary bloatware installed from the laptop. It is very predatory from Mcaffee, Express VPN, Dropbox, last pass all giving you a week trial and then want money for the subscription. It is flat out wrong to have these installed on the device, we know that HP gets an incentive to install these on all their devices but it should not be worth it to harass your customers.
Price: This Laptop is frequently on sale for $1500, I recommend to wait for when one of these sales show up as that is a great price for this laptop. The regular price of $2100 is simply too much for this machine.

Have enjoyed this laptop. Set up was pretty easy and intuitive. Processing speed is very good even with multiple applications open. Display is sharp and crisp for software, gaming and movies/videos.

Great laptop, beautiful graphics. RAM is perfect for running a variety of programs at once. Only thing I noticed is that the keyboard will glitch and type something completely different than the user input. Happens rarely.

Quality is top notch. Excellent tactility in the keyboard, useful function key shortcuts (unlike yoga), and the best trackpad I’ve ever used. Performance is quite good, though it does not seem to be able to push the processor to its potential due to throttling. Still quite snappy, and the a370m is great for photo/video editing, rendering, and light gaming. Intel has released massively improved drivers for the a370m and all previous complaints about it seem to be resolved. Ensure you download the intel update assistant (google it) and it will download the latest drivers for you, as of writing the latest driver was 3/16/23.
I was running a few tabs on edge on one half of the screen and word and a video on the other half of the screen at 50% brightness for 2 hours and it had only gone down to 84% battery. That puts battery life over 12 hours in real world use for my typical workflow when I’m away from a charger. If you need to run full brightness expect that to be a few hours less. Bear in mind that with an OLED panel, using dark mode on windows and wherever else possible allows the screen to use much less power.
Speaking of the screen… wow! It’s beautiful. It’s got great refresh rates, it’s incredibly color accurate, and it gets plenty bright to use when the sun was shining on it today.
Audio quality from the speakers is quite good, can fill a room with high enough quality that it can be a worthy speaker for playing some music while you cook or to be immersed in a movie etc.
Cons: price. $2000 is a bit rough. But the i7-1360p is as good as the M2 Pro in MacBook pros on almost every benchmark, better in some. The a370m is on par with the M2’s integrated 8 core GPU. Screen is better. 1tb storage. So when comparing to a 16 inch MacBook Pro, it compares well and is priced significantly below it.
I recommend it.

Excellent laptop. Amazing display and color output. Runs everything I've thrown at it very well, including Adobe applications. Doesn't get too hot or loud as the older Spectre models did. The drawbacks are that there's one USB port, but just get a Windows Bluetooth mouse for $20 and you'll be set. Drawing on the screen feels very nice, too. Great for almost any multimedia purpose, unless you're doing heavy 3D work.

Looking for a laptop with OLED screen and atleast 15+ “ in size, always liked HP for desktops but wasn’t sure which ones would be the best for the laptop, i played it safe and decided to stick with the brand I was familiar with and bought this from Best Buy.
Couldn’t be happier, screen quality is exceptional as is the speed and overall quality of this laptop. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a light weight quality laptop.
Would definitely buy again, probably opt for the 32gb version.

I needed to replace a 4 year old laptop as the battery was not holding a charge. I liked the 16" screen as I felt the smaller 14" ones were too small and the larger 17" screens were too big for something that I wanted to fit into a backpack for traveling. Love the 4k screen as it is bright and sharp. This PC is fast as I use for my small business and personal use and the battery life is impressive. I bought through Best Buy as open box so I feel that I got a great price too.

I haven’t used an HP laptop in several years after consistent issues with quality in the past. I’ve seen improvements and gave them a try.
I was pleasantly surprised with the appearance and suite of features this laptop offers. It has a great feel and has decent performance, capable of running business software as well as several games.
My favorite aspect is the display, the quality is dramatically better than non-OLED displays (not necessarily because it is an HP but I would definitely recommend upgrading to an OLED display if you don’t currently have one.
My least favorite aspect is the speakers on this laptop. I didn’t take off any stars for it because I mainly use headphones, but the speakers are very underwhelming despite being Bang & Olufson, a luxury sound brand. If I had gotten this thinking the sound quality was going to be great, I would have been very disappointed. Good enough for zoom calls but I would not use the built in speakers to watch a movie or listen to music. Quality is bad, volume is too low, would not recommend (unless I got a defective laptop in which case that’s a different problem).
Overall I’m happy with this product, though I would opt for the Dell equivalent in the future as the speaker quality is much better and OLED display is about the same.

This is an excellent PC. Display is beautiful. This PC is not the fastest machine but it is plenty fast and meets all of my needs very well. The Intel Arc A370 graphics card works okay and does meet my needs for what I do quite easily. Intel releases updates on this card almost every month and has improved it quite a lot since it's original release. The only downside of this PC is I wish it had a numpad pad like the older 15 inch Spectre models. The numpad on those machines were designed very well and removing them from these newer 16 inch PC's was a big mistake. At home I many times use and external bluetooth keyboard and this gets me around not having a number pad when I need one. Also the hinges on this PC are designed very well as there is very little screen wobble when typing on this unit.

The HP Spectre Laptop 16" is a sleek and powerful machine with a stunning 4K OLED display. It delivers excellent performance, a comfortable keyboard, and good battery life. The design is elegant, although the webcam placement is less than ideal. Overall, it's a great choice for professionals and multimedia enthusiasts.

My second HP Spectre purchase in 2 years. This latest model maintains and improves my satisfaction with great versatility and portability. Excellent for a college student and a gig cottage industry worker. (I'm in daily video conferencing, internet use, small graphic design and writing) I paired easily with an additional large screen monitor for a kit that functions like dual-screen workstation and portable tablet. I do wish the base had thicker surface and treat it very gently in my bag, but I think HPs aim to reduce plastic and heat is notable. Combined with my Tech Warranty coverage I feel good about the purchase and have no problems in 2 year of use with the older model. HP likely has me for another round when I replace these.
