Not willing to write a full review just received the laptop less than an hour ago. But going off the build quality I can at least give it 3 stars. But after booting it up it already has a dead pixel. dealing with Bestbuy customer service isn't a easy task lol especially trying to get a replacement item.

    Issues With The Screen

The laptop looks amazing BUT, I feel the build quality is not all there, particularly with the OLED panel. This is my second Specter x360 16 inch with the OLED screen. Both have the same issue where the left side of the screen is faded and the pixels struggle to display the same image quality as the right side. This is most notable when watching dimly lit video scenes or if you have a dark mode on for your apps. I'm curious if everyone else has the same issue. Also, my second Specter x360 16 inches came with a loose touchpad that rattled with the simplest touch. I had to open it and fix it. In my opinion, a $2,222.76 (Tax included) product should not have to be repaired. The screen is supposed to be the highlight of the device but sadly it is a big disappointment. The rating is either excellent, good, average, fair, or poor. As much as I like this laptop. The screen is a major issue that degrades the experience so I have to go with poor because a faulty screen is fair. I've included photos of the screen at the 4th brightness level and at the highest from let to right.

I like it’s feel and sleek design. I’ve been using it since two years and performance wise it has met with my needs most of the time. I’m using it for coding, gaming and video watching and I didn’t have any problem. Only issue was its Camera stop working within the first year and HP wanted to repair it first. After the repair, the same camera issue persisted. It took customer service weeks to decide to give me a replacement and that was really frustrating and wasted my 6 weeks because I needed that camera during that time for interviews. HP troubleshooting and diagnosing team wasn’t that great. Remote customer service unfortunately wasn’t that helpful.

Okay so I've had this laptop for about a week and it's fine but it's definitely not perfect. Pros- Build quality feels premium, keyboard feels really good. The trackpad feels fine, it almost feels like it's too responsive. Touch screen is also really good. When typing there's no screen wobble with my particular unit also I can't lift it up with one hand but that's not a big deal for me. The speakers are really good for a laptop in my opinion, really nice and out loud. There's really not that many fingerprints, you're only going to get fingerprints if you eat snacks and mess with your laptop or you just have sweaty hands. The 4K Oled screen is kind of a problem for me, I feel like it's too much color and too contrasty but that could just be my field of vision. Cons- The hinges are not perfectly aligned, one weird thing is I was able to push one of the hinges up stiffly with my thumb to somewhat make it align with the other, it's not lose it just wasn't perfectly align. The battery life goes away pretty quickly I went from 100% to 68% in a little under two and a half hours and I was just surfing the web and looking at a couple of YouTube videos. Also it takes a really long time to charge this thing up to 100% your going to be waiting hours to charge this thing up to 100%. All in all it's okay but I would not get the OLED option. I recommend the non OLED option.

I'll start by saying I got this "open box", so I paid substantially less than msrp. With that being said, I love it. I use it primarily for "Gamemaker Studio" programming and lighter gaming, so I haven't pushed it to it's limits, but i regularly have a second monitor hooked up, as well as several programs I'm switching between, and it doesn't slip up. The screen quality is beautiful, the touch and stylus perfectly responsive, and easy to adjust brightness very convenient. I also find all the little shortcuts they manage to squeeze into the keyboard intuitive and easy to use. Speakers are excellent for a laptop as well. If you can get a good deal on this, I couldn't recommend enough.

This hp lap top with the 4k oled display is absolutely stunning. There is lots of features and everything runs smoothly. The pen feature works great aswell when wrighting on the screen. Ive only used the pen to do math equations for some work and so far it works great. The only negative i would say would be the battery life isnt that great. I used it for 5 hours doing simple things and it went from 100 to 50 percent during that time. Even though thats the only con ive found so far I would still recommend this lap top.

    Spectre Build Quality is Superb

As a previous owner of an HP Spectre, I was not disappointed with the new version of this series of laptop. The build quality is very nice, and after trying a Yoga 9i for a few days this was a clear winner. The speakers are quite robust vs. some of the softer sounding laptops. There are some minor complaints such as a lack of a lot of USB ports and missing control key on the right (it's been replaced with a finger print scanner). The free case for extra protection and pen that is provided was a nice touch. Device does have facial recognition for unlock (Microsoft's Window Hello) which I was told by the person in the store was not available.

Went to a laptop from an all-in-one desktop computer. This is a great laptop with plenty of memory. Paired my purchase with a docking station and a 27" monitor. It's running perfect!! Got rid of that bulky desktop. I can run it with my docking station and monitor or take the laptop with me on trips. I've had great success with the HP line of computers and will never change! This laptop is worth the price!!

I finally broke down and bought a new laptop and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. This is the fastest laptop I have used in forever and the display is incredible. The only issue I would say I have with it is the lack of an ability to upgrade the internal Memory. It is part of the main board so it would require the board be replaced. Other then that I could not be happier.

good specs on paper but the laptop is not a 2000$ worthy! it's not study and every time I hold it I hear a click sound in the back of the laptop. screen is beautiful but doesn't look like a 16 inch screen! tablet mode is not really usable because of the tall screen size. the laptop get heat easily because of the small chassis. battery life is not the best! generally its good for daily use because it will not survive a single fall on the floor!

Get the 16-inch Spectre with integrated graphics

I own the 2020 15.6 inch HP Spectre x360 and am a big fan of the Spectre line of laptops. Decided to try out the new 16-inch non-OLED HP Spectre x360 with integrated graphs and fell in LOVE with it (will give my 2020 Spectre to a family member). I was, however, curious if the 16-inch OLED HP Spectre x360 with discrete graphs might be a worthwhile upgrade. Newsflash, it ain't. Everything between the two laptops is the same except for the screen resolution, GPU, and amount of internal storage. Sadly, there is no major difference between the two screens (HPs non-OLED screens are that good). If anything colors on the OLED model appear a bit oversaturated. I do not game, do not edit videos, 3D model, etc. so the more powerful GPU is just an unnecessary expense, rather than an upgrade. Since both laptops have a microSD card slot, more internal storage is also an expense for me. I purchased this laptop for about $50 less than the 16-inch non-OLED model (open-box discount and Best Buy gift cards). Even at around the same price of the 16-inch non-OLED model, I still won't recommend this laptop because of the inferior battery life associated with OLED screen. Results of standardized battery tests (continuous video loop at 150 nits screen brightness or 38%) conducted by internet reviewers reveal a battery life of only 6 to 8 hours. Conversely, the battery life of my 16-inch non-OLED Spectre is outstanding. I get 14 hours of continuous YouTube (screen brightness at 38%, battery saver and wifi on, bluetooth off). Even more impressive is that I get 8.5 hours with screen brightness at 100%, wifi on, bluetooth off, battery saver off, and power mode on best performance. So even at full power (100% screen brightness, power mode on best performance), the 16-inch non-OLED Spectre's battery lasts longer than the 16-inch OLED Spectre's battery.

Have had this just under a year and bought it to replace my other HP that was less than a year old but the CPU fried in it. This one will not power on with anything plugged in (power cord, external HD, etc.). It freezes badly all the time and I have checked every possible solution to no avail, the pen does not work, and the battery life is horrible.
