I bough this so that I could have a couple USB slots on my MacBook Pro and it does absolutely everything I would expect it to do. The only comment I will make regarding disappointment is that the connection feels very “unsure” and flimsy. I almost worry about it breaking off if I pick up the machine to move it around the desk. Overall great product...perhaps I am just being overly cautious.

the only thing is that if your device is two usb type c I would recommend of two connections, with respect to the headphones and the microphone It has a bit of sudden conflict can stop working, it is a good option for new computers with USB Type C

The USB-C is too long, therefore when I plug to my Mac Book, it covers 0ne port of the side of MacBook that has only 2 ports.

I use this on my MacBook Pro and it doesn't sit flush to the table top, easily falls out and loses connection if bumped. The SD card reader doesn't work well, and again loses connection to the HDMI for my monitor and my hard drive that is connected when I remove the SD card. I'm going to return it and get one that has a cable to sit on my desk flat and I don't have to worry that it will fall out of the small input in my MAC every time I change out my SD card.

I had to return it since it didn't work with my laptop (the way it had to install meant it covered other useful ports). But it worked as advertised otherwise.

Sleek, with good options. Only connects with one port because of the design. It is only secure in one port because part of it rubs against a different port on the computer. So one of the plus is unusable.Dissappointed.

In order to secure the device to a 13" 2018 MacBook Pro without 'wobble', it must be attached on the right side of the computer and, when done, 50% of the device extends beyond the rear of the computer body. Still functional but poorly designed because it does not align with the contour of the computer when anchored securely.

Great device to allow more ports. I needed to be able to plug in standard USB and HDMI and didn't have that on the MacBook Pro M1, so this did the trick. I find they are quite pricey, but I suppose so is everything else you would want/need for a MacBook.
My only complaint is --and this is pretty deal breaking-- I bought a case for my MacBook Pro and now this device barely fits plugged in to the laptop. It sits at a bit of an angle and won't completely plug in. Keep that in mind if you're buying this and have a case on your computer!! I had to buy an HDMI to USB-C cable and now I rarely use this hub.

I am extremely impressed with the Hyper - 7-Port Universal USB-C Hub - USB-C Docking Station for Laptops. Its performance is exceptional, and its user-friendly design enhances its convenience. Although it is a bit expensive, the investment is definitely worth it. It would be even more advantageous if the USB-C connected to my laptop had a feature that allows it to be pressed to pop out when needed and pressed again to retract for storage. Also, since it already obstructs the second USB-C on my MacBook, it would be more durable and useful to have something similar to the flip-out black stem on the hub that can plug into the side, making it less floppy and potentially easier and more secure when inserting and removing items from the ports.

Bought this item along with the MBP 16 inch and gave it a chance (2 weeks) before making the decision to return.
Pros:
1.) attaches to MBP smoothly like an extension of the laptop and expands capabilities.
2.) HDMI had no lags that I could notice while I was using it to watch a movie on my tv.
Cons:
1.) the connection between the product and my laptop is unstable and it feels like any wrong move could potentially remove the entire hub.
2.) the product when attached takes up the entire side with the usb c ports so you can’t use it. There are 2 left on the other side but I don’t like how it does this.
3.) while watching a movie, the hub itself got very warm which worried me if it was going to damage my brand new MBP. (Ultimate reason for returning the product )

First off I got this for a great deal. It was priced regularly at $79 and I was able to purchase it at a local Best Buy for $47. The problem with this device is that it’s solely rests on the USB-C port, for my MacBook Pro. Works fine when plugging it into my Macbook Pros USB-C port. But past that point is when the problems begin. If you’re plugging in a standard USB-A device, notice that there’s a significant amount of tension when plugging unplugging the cable. Unfortunately, that same tension is nonexistent when it comes plugging the hub into the device. When unplugging a USB-A cable, the hub itself starts tilting as you’re pulling the it out. In my opinion, this is a major design law because if not careful, it would be very easy to snap the male USB-C connector of the hub off, leaving it stuck in your laptops port. I work in IT. So it’s easy for me to remove the stuck connector. But, may be much more difficult for a non-technical consumer. I really wanted to like this product, but it’s going back to the store because of the above mentioned designed flaws.
