Customers are satisfied with the Cloud Wired Stereo Gaming Headset's sound quality and comfort. Many appreciate the affordable price and convenient volume control features. Bought this headset for games like Apex Legends about a year and a half ago. It's held up nice, survived quite a few drops. The cushioning is soft, comfortable for me for 4+ hour gaming sessions. Very good performance compared to competitors new models. And surprisingly good for listening to music. Stands above in the PS4 category and rivals similiar priced pc offerings.

I'm very disappointed this HyperX headset only lasted me 2 years and 2 months. The left side speaker gave out on me and the 2 year warranty was already up. I have had other Headsets and HyperX headsets in the past that have lasted me for 5 years. Be very carful getting this headset because it probably won't last 3 years or less. It was great for gaming, music, discord and using the mic as a backup. But I wouldn't waste your money on this headset.

Oustanding headphones for PS4

I've tried a lot of headphones for my PS4. I had the original Sony Gold which I used until they cracked, despite the wireless issues. I bought another set of the new ones when they were redesigned and still had the wireless drop outs, but wasn't willing to put up with it anymore. The super high end stuff requires me to tie up the optical port and switch audio. That sucks when I want to just play on the TV. I tried my Logitech G933 that I have for my PC. Those are uncomfortable after a while and still have the disconnect issues. I even bought a set of the Silver headphones, just for the USB controller that plugs into the PS4. That's actually my preferred setup since I can use higher end headphones and have the best control over volume, but I have a cat that likes to chew dangling wires so I don't want to have it running across the room. But the DualShock 4 can connect a headset to the controller, so I figured I'd give that a shot. I originally purchased the Cloud II to use for my PC and my PS4, but they didn't really sound 100 dollars better than my Creative Live Aurvana on my PC, and sound was pretty low running through the dualshock, so I returned them. Enter these headphones. They have lower resistance speakers, so sound is plenty loud and clear through the PS4 dualshock controller. They sound just as good as the Cloud II but don't come with the USB DAC, which I don't need anyway.. The inline control for volume and mute works great, and sound is outstanding, both on PS4 and PC. I would highly recommend these as a number one go-to set of cans for a PS4. There's more expensive, and there's wireless, and there's other optical solutions that work great if you're willing to spend the money and put up with some hiccups. But if you just want to plug into your controller and play, these are the ones to get.

This PS4 blue version has an impedance of 41 Ohm, while the regular Cloud headset has an impedance of 60 Ohm. What this means is the PS4 version is easier to drive, since with headphones the lower the impedance the easier they are to drive and the louder they will play. So the PS4 version will have a maximum volume level a bit higher than the standard Cloud headset. This cold be beneficial if you find other headset used with PS4, Switch or XBox One don't offer enough output, because this headset can be used for any game system or other device with a 3.5mm connection.
This headset only comes with the box, detachable mic and 3.5mm cable with inline controls. The standard Cloud Pro, which sells for the same price of $79.99, also comes with a y-splitter for use on PC and a carrying bag. Not sure why HyperX went cheap-o on the PS4 and even the XBox One specific models and didn't at least include the travel bag.
Comfort wise these are really nice. The ear cups are soft and smooth and the clamping force isn't too much. I have a larger/wider than average head and wearing these for a couple hours of gaming doesn't require me to remove the headset due to being uncomfortable. Ear cup size is about average and most people should have no issues unless they have very large ears.
Build quality is good for this price range. Aluminum frame, stitched headband and braided cable. The blue color is really slick looking. These are a closed back design and the back side of the cans are smooth feeling and not cheap. They are slightly heavier than some other headsets I have owned, but not heavy to the point where they are bothersome.
Sound quality is overall good. These shine more for gaming than other use like music. Lows are slightly emphasized and the highs have a slight roll off in the upper range. So these don't have excessive bass, but they also don't have the crispest and most detailed treble. Still not bad for music and removing the mic you get a rubber cap to plug the mic jack. The mic is about average, nothing overly impressive or very negative. It gets the job done.
Overall, for the $79.99 price these are a good option, I got them on sale for $57.99 and they are a go for that price. What keeps them from being 5/5 stars is mainly the cable. The cable is fixed to the left ear cup, so you need to use care when using these. I much prefer a detachable 3.5mm cable, which means the headset isn't ruined if the cable breaks or is damaged. A couple of other headsets I have are the Logitech G Pro (msrp $89.99) and Plantronics Rig 500 Pro (msrp $79.99) have a detachable 3.5mm cable, so the Cloud PS4 is inferior in this key aspect for this price range. The Cloud Alpha (msrp $99.99) does have a detachable 3.5mm cable.
One other aspect I don't particularly care for is the PS logo on each side. The XBox One version doesn't have any XBox logos. I don't think using these as headphones out in public would be "stylish" with the PS logo on each side. Maybe a black sharpie could cover them?

Garbage! Stopped functioning in 9 months! Only one side of the headset works. I’ve been extremely careful with it, never dropped it and it out of the blue, it just stoped working!

I don't see any reason to buy anything else. For years I just moved my PC headset (first G4me one and then HD6xx) from the PC to PS$ using a mic/headphone adapter into controller. I finally got sick of doing this and dealing with the long cables. So I did a lot of research was considering a AStro 50 or the PS one, Turtle Beach etc. Was at BBY and saw this for 60 bucks and decided to just try it out as I knew Hyper X PC was highly rated.
HOLY COW! Not only do they sound just amazing but man they are light and comfortable. Also the cable to connect to controller is a single three ring cable and its nice and short (about 4 feet) so doesn't get in the way as its just goes from you controller to headset.
I am just floored to get this type of attention to detail for 60 bucks. As a current user of Sennheiser, previous owener of Bayer Dynamics, Turtle Beach, Razer, Sony, Its ridiculous these exist at this this price.

Great sound and durability is worth the price. I really like this headset I've had it since last year and it's still the best I've found on the market. I'm really happy with my purchase.

The headset is very durable as my son can be very rough with them, especially when he gets doughnuts in Fortnite. I like that the microphone can detach, which makes it harder to break. Sound is a good quality and team players seem to hear me clear. The one small negative I have is keeping up with the microphone cover. It slips off easy.

Bought these to replace a 2nd set of TB Stealth 600 that have a major flaw and break in the exact same place regardless of how careful and gentle I am with my headsets. These are STURDY! I don't foresee having any issues with these build quality wise. Great sound out of these as well. Nice and boomy, but not too bass heavy and decent mid's and highs for the games I play. The mic quality is better than my previous headsets according to everyone on the other end of the party chat. All in all, very well rounded headset. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good all around stereo headset, with a good mic and strong build quality. One con (but not really a con, more of a personal preference) however, is that the headset is slightly heavier than what I have been used to and it isn't as great for long gaming sessions. Also, the leatherette ear cups make my ears slightly warmer as well. But those are not deal breakers at all. Happy shopping!

I bought this headset for my nephew for playing Fortnite on PS4 to replace his previous broken headset of another brand. Out of the box it was incredible quality, very durable. The earpads are also extremely soft and comfortable. If you are in the market for a "basic" headset (don't need any special features such as wireless or 3d processing) than it's hard to recommend anything else... especially for the price. Also, this PS4 specific model was designed to work well out of the controller headset jack. It is slightly more sensitive/efficient than the previous cloud headset. Simply put, it can get louder from the same amount of power. My nephew loved his headset and a couple weeks later his brother bought the same one for his xbox. In my opinion this is the best headset you can get right now at this price point, and even well above. Nothing else is this durable, this comfortable, or sounds this good for anywhere near this price!

Since these over the ear headphones are well under $100 USD, I was not expecting beats quality, but upon inspection and use I have found these to be above average. The sound is great, I hear many ambient sounds which I didn't even know existed in games. I do not use the microphone, and primarily use these plugged into the 3.5 mm output jack on the tv. Comfortable for long stretches, and they don't make me sweat. As much aluminum as plastic makes these a good, durable everyday headset, IMO/IME.
