Easy to use. Wish the speaker sound was a little louder.

Bought this for my 6 yr. old daughter for Christmas and she is very disappointed! The main reason for getting this one was for the iPod dock, and the microphone is disabled when the iPod is on. When singing in the CD player the sound fades in and out. Very unhappy with the product and will be taking it back very soon!

For the price look elsewhere. This machine is horrible! I just bought it about an hour ago and am returning it tomorrow! I loved the ipod docking with cd player as that is a great idea. I also liked how you could plug it into your tv which I was looking for. I got home and out of the box the microphone is a cheap plastic that feels like I could crush it. Then I plug it into my tv and the sound from the microphone is delayed to the music and words. So unusable pretty much. So I thought I would just use the speaker on the machine and the sound is still horrible. When you sing the music fades out and when you stop the music gets very loud. I really tried to give it a chance, but It's just a poor machine!! Stay AWAY!

Buy the extended warranty if you get this. My kid is really disappointed. The CD player just stopped. She can still play her iPod, but the lyrics only come up with the karaoke CDs, so it's just a cumbersome iPod dock now.

I purchased this machine two days ago for my daughter's 7th birthday. She and my husband were trying it out and after about an hour the speaker started to sound like it was already busted and now the microphone will not work. I think the reason it cost more than others is because you can use your IPod with it. That was one of the reason's I liked it. I will be returning this machine as soon as I can. I would rather spend more money on something that last longer than an hour or so. Sorry Best Buy.

We purchased this product for a Christmas present within the first week the product sounded horrible when turned on and the microphone broke.

i got this as a presant i opend it up it was so cool!!but everything changed when we started to get it to work the mics where so bad!!!they are unacceptable and dont work.the disco lights are ok ...but ovarall i dont recomend ...and im not one to juge tec i love it!!!iphones ,ipods you name it ...i wish i could get a better mic well that is the plan find a better one to write a better reveiw abut so i can agree with tecnoligy...but its not gonna be that esey now that i know not to go with ilive and that shows up alot ...i would most deffeantly suggest not i repeat NOT get this horrible product unless you want to etheir re turn it or to buy a new and better mic.

Total disappointment. Bought for 7yr old birthday and she couldn't get mic to work-didn't realize it only worked when using cd's! Sorry best buy-this was NOT a good buy! What 7yr old has cd's? It's all about this iPod

My daughter had the Ilive IJ328 which she was very happy with. Personally we have no use for the screen as she does all her music from the ipod. The karaoke CD's are never the original version of the song so the girls prefer singing along with the ipod. This was not a problem with the older IJ328. We were shocked when we hooked up the new unit IJP382B and the mics didn't work at all. Best Buy exchanged that unit and verified the mics worked before we left. Then when we got home we realized that if the ipod is docked the mics are disabled. Seems like technology went backwards. We will be returning this to the store this weekend and hoping we can find an older model online. I didn't even look at the reviews because we were so happy with our last one which Best Buy took back under the extended warranty when the buttons stopped controlling the ipod. My daughter wishes we would have just kept it, she just had to control directly from the ipod but at least they could sing!

Looking for a karoke machine with good microphone sound that also worked with our ipod for my 7 year old daughter. She would love it if the microphone actually worked .. which it barely does. I already have a CD and ipod player.. returning this "karoke player".

Despite the very first listed feature being that this machine is made for an iPod or iPhone, apparently the manufacturer conveniently left off the last part of this feature, which should continue as follows "only for listening to music.". We bought this machine for our kids for Christmas because they have our old iPod devices. Unfortunately when the iPod is plugged in and playing music, the microphones are disabled. The microphones only work with CD music. I called customer service for the manufacturer and they confirmed that although the user guide lists the ability to work with iPod devices, it only plays that music and will not allow microphone use. Taking it back.

I made a mistake by not checking the reviews. Can't believe I felled for the flashing lights and the price ($59). This machine need to be taken off the market, mic didn't work straight out the box. The look on my 4yr old son face said it all and the sad part is my wife can't find the receipt. THANK YOU guys for the reviews at least I know it wasn't just me. ILIVE KARAOKE PARTY MACHINE SUKS

I purchased this for my daughter less than 5 months ago. Already the CD player and iPod player does not work. I thought it should at the very least be able to play CD's, since it was $60. I tried to take it back to Best Buy but they told me there was nothing they could do. They could only sell me another one. I have to say I will not be purchasing anything from Best but again. I think if they want to sell these incredibly cheap products, they should back them up. So much for customer service. I would not recommend this karaoke machine, it is junk.

It's a radio, not a karaoke machine. The MIC did not work, and the words did not come up when connected to a TV. The manufacturer must have cut some corners to have it built in time for Christmas. I've been a Best Buy customer for years, but will no longer be one if Best Buy continues to buy products like this.

This unit was a total disappointment. We bought it for my 6 yrs old daughter for Christmas and she was very happy when she opened it. However, as soon as we docked the IPHONE to the unit, the MIC got disabled making it useless for what the main purpose was (to be used as Karaoke). I guess it's ok to be used as a speaker system but I could have picked something better for the price paid for this unit. Manufacturer should have made it clear the MIC was disable when plugging in the IPOD/IPHONE unit. Returning the unit tomorrow to BB.

Salesman said it would operate using the ipod. HE COULDNT BE ANY MORE WRONG. You cannot use youtube karoke videos and sing over them using the ipod and the microphone. The microphone does NOT function over the ipod. When hooked up to a tv you cannot see any info on the Ipod. TOTALLY USELESS- They are forcing you to purchase the karoke cds. do not waste your money unless you plan on buying Karoke cd's.

I decided to go against everyone's reviews. Well my mistake. I usually don't do that because there are a lot of reviews, but this one there only a few. Bought this product for my daughter for Christmas and what do you know garbage. When we put it on the I pod section the mic doesn't work. Bringing it back after Christmas.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. I didn't attach an ipod and I did see that the microphone does not work with the ipod docked. But the microphone doesn't work for the cd either! Guess it will be going back!

I agree with every single review. This thing is horrible. How sad for our daughter who had big expectations. The cord already came off the mic, everything said already is totally true. Even worse don't know if I can find the receipt!!!! I will try and return and see if Best Buy steps up to the fact that they are selling junk. If they don't this will be the last time I ever make a purchase there.
