I had a good install experience. The tech was very knowledgable and explained everything thoroughly. Good and bad. Took a little longer than expected but I was next door having lunch so it didn't matter. I rather it take longer and get done right. I plan to go back to get a back up camera installed in the future

I worked with Frank from the West Covina Geek Squad to install my new Kenwood head unit, 4 speakers, and hard-wired front/rear dash cameras in my Acura TSX. Frank was super knowledgable, friendly, passionate about the quality of his work. I am very happy how everything came out! Thank you Frank!

First time best buy radio install. Install went great and radio looks awesome. Had to go to Kalamazoo, MI because my local BBC was booked for 3 weeks because of the holidays and free install black Friday special. The person was very nice and explained things very well.
I would recommend this to a friend

I was turned away the day of. I assumed I got refunded but now I think I should verify it because I received this survey. So I ended up setting up the stereo myself with no previous experience. It’s working great by the way.

Matt (Joe Battle store) did an exceptional job with the install of my Pioneer system! He was super friendly and very time efficient. Extremely satisfied, thank you!

The technician was knowledgeable and thorough. He even addressed my situation with care and executed some requests that I made outside the scope of the installation. Gave me some tips and quick tour of the job performed after the work was done.

I gave the installers to install in my vehicle: I purchased the following items from Crutchfield: a Pioneer AVH AVH-4201NEX receiver kit w/ Pioneer ND-BC8 rearview camera, handsfree microphone, the 16-piece connector kit for car stereos, the Metra AFDI 5V 12V-5V converter for Ford Amp, the Metra 95-5818 Ford Truck DD mount, the Metra 70-5517 wire harness for Ford 98-03, the Universal OEM DIN tool pair for factory radio removal, and the installation Mastersheet for my vehicle. All of these items were still in the original shipping box when I handed it over however, by the time I returned home from my cross-country trip, the handsfree microphone and the mounts were missing from my box. The installers were apparently too lazy too use them for the installation. They had to remove a previously installed Pioneer system which incidentally had the exact same handsfree mic but instead of replacing the 10-year old mic and installing the new one in a more convenient location (or simply asking me what I wanted) they chose to leave the old one with the broken mount in place and kept my new one. As for the mount, one of the installers told me it just, "didn't look good when they put it in." It was 8pm, dark outside, and I'd been there for four hours so I took their word for it but when you look at the pic it clearly looks awful aside from the paint that they scratched off my car. I think that they were in too much of a hurry to try and rush through my car and messed it up. They did offer to spray paint it to fix it but I don't want my car spray painted because I expect they'll do the same half-assed job they did in the first place. It should be replaced not spray painted. They were both far too concerned with the vehicle they were working on before mine, a classic black, Dodge Charger. They put drop cloths to protect the interior floor mats down for the Charger and took great care with that installation. My Ford Expedition was a different matter; I didn't get any interior protection for my tan colored mats and their feet were all over the doors, no care taken by the installers whatsoever, they left the interior lights for four hours and had to charge it just to get my vehicle started again. In fact, I ended up having to buy a new battery on the road even though I'd had my car serviced at the dealer earlier that day because I knew I was leaving town the next day. The installers also left wires hanging so low that my foot got caught on them whilst I was on the freeway a hundred miles away. I had to pull over, and stuff them where I could. Keep in mind I'm in a wheelchair and alone.
Then there's the issue of the camera. Having paid an additional $129.99 to have the rear camera installed they could have at least placed it in the proper location for an SUV. According the the instructions provided in the original box, the ND-BC8 camera should be placed at the top of the rear windshield and not on the license plate. I'm in a wheelchair and every single time the rear door of my SUV is open or closed the rear camera's position is changed making it pointless to use.
If this wasn't enough of a problem the system just shut down and turned itself off while I was using the navigation system connected to my iPhone. My phone itself worked just fine. I didn't have any service outages, drops, or gaps with my phone. But the receiver shut down and restarted completely by itself eight separate times, for no reason, in metropolitan areas like Dallas. The only problem I had with my phone was after I'd driven several hundred miles that it did get extremely hot but I couldn't unplug it because and remain connected to Apple Carplay. I discovered later that the installer should have mentioned this and given me the option of wireless installation but again he was in a hurry, too lazy, or my vehicle wasn't expensive enough, or he simple couldn't have cared less who knows, I'd told him several times that I was driving 1,700 miles. I ended up purchasing a dashboard mount for my phone to substitute for the almost $1200 I spent on an unreliable system because of shoddy installation not to mention the interior damage the Geek Squad also did to my dashboard, and the $5.00 on my receipt for some type of equipment, completely unknown and unnecessary.

These 2 geek squad employees worked simultaneously on my in dash car receiver. While one was taking apart my existing dashboard, the other was assembling the receiver with the harness. Great teamwork, was done in 45 minutes and out the door! Thank you!

The installer named James at the Mayfield Heights store damaged my speaker, knicked the tint on my window, wired up my amp then basically just threw the amp in the compartment with my car jack to just bang around scratching up the amp and potentually shortening the life of that amp from all the bouncing around against the car jack. I brought the car back up to the store so that James could secure the amp somehow and he just took the amp out ou the compartment and layed it in the cargo area once again just to freely move around, also making it so that I couldn't place the door over the jack compartment. James then tells me that I'd need to reschedule to have this issue resolved. I contacted a manager and the manager agreed to replace the damaged speaker with a new one at no cost to me promising to have it sent to James and on my next appointment to have more equipment installed James would give me that speaker. I rescheduled and on the next visit about a week later James tells me that no speaker was ever sent to him for me and he couldn't install my other equipment because he didn't have time so I rescheduled again. When I arrived on the day and time he told me to come back he said that I was a day early, I returned the next day and again no equipment was installed and he informed me that he didn't connect the wiring for my radio to dim when the headlights go on so this is probably why that feature didn't work and told me that I'd also need to purchase an xm radio receiver in order for my radio not to stop playing while I was backing up. I rescheduled again and when I returned I told the manager Joe about the whole ordeal, Joe gave me a store credit for $54 to cover the knicked tint on my window. After 3 hours of having my car that day another installer calls me up and tells me that he had installed my rear speakers but not the front speakers and was doing research on my radio operation over the phone and that in order to have the xm radio receiver installed that I had to purchase it from another store and be back at the Mayfield store in about 30 minutes for him to install it which I did but, upon returning to the store, I find that after having my car for about 4 hours no speakers were actually installed, in fact no work at all was done on the car. The second installer had lied about installing the rear speakers and apparently was under instructions from Joe to not do any repairs or installs to my car and to leave the amp where it was just sliding around in the back of my car. The second installer told me that because of falsification on my part he was not going to work on my car anymore, then went and told the manager that I wanted to talk to him. Joe came out and then proceeded to tell me that he didn't want his installers working on my car anymore because they felt uncomfortable working on it. Then Joe ignores the fact that the 2nd installer lied about having already installed the rear speakers, and James now has changed his story from what he told the first manager, that he heard a pop then nothing when he tested the speaker, to he saw a spark then nothing. Both stories lend to showing that James damaged the speaker because during the "pop test" that James did after installing the amp, it shows normal speaker operation for the battery operated tester to have the speaker "pop", that pop shows the speaker worked, it would be almost impossible to get that tester to cause any spark while testing the speaker because of the tester's low amperage and voltage. One way to get a pop and spark from a speaker would be to connect 12 volts directly from a wire from the car battery to the speaker, this probably world cause the sound and spark described by James as the speaker was ruined. This very unlikely would not be an accident that a seasoned installer would make, but a purposeful destruction of that speaker, followed by shifting stories of the event being told. Joe told me that I could pay $40 more and then they could cancel my Total Tech Support Plan and I could take my buisness elsewhere because his installers wouldn't be doing any work on my car, then when I explained the technical reasons for Jame's stories not panning out as true, Joe tried to act like I was treatening him and searching for reasons to deny the repairs and installations. The next appointment I could get for a nearby Best Buy store was in mid January about a month and a half away. To me this is completely unacceptable as I presently have a scratched up amp sliding around in the cargo area of my car and equipment that hasn't been installed after about 5 appointments and promises not fulfilled as far a a replacement speaker being ordered or delivered as Joe said he'd have it sent to my house. This has all been extremely unprofessional and unusual for Best Buy as far as my long previous experiences with them installing equipment for me goes, I've never been treated so rudely, lied to and mislead as this before, ever, by any store. I am sadly dissappointed and am still left with a botched installation to work around everytime I go to use my cargo area because wires are exposed and the amp is still sliding about back there.

Works perfectly. Has proper HVAC controls unlike the other kits that don’t have any indication on TEMP and FAN speed. Not an easy kit to install unless you have advanced skills in installation. Worth the money? HECK YES!!!

Got this for our 2003 G35 coupe for wife
Bluetooth picks up well, sounds clear , I had to Velcro the mic down so it won't move cause before I could hear mic noise when talking to wife. The sound is great and overall a good upgrade from factory
Reviews were excellent too

The installation was fine and the tech was very friendly however when using tgw reverse camera he could not correct the lines on the display when in reverse and when removing my old camera he cut the wires so ahort that I am unable to install it in another vehicle. Not what I expected
