I waited a few months before hosting review. Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition is a perfect DC fighting game. Not only is the gameplay solid the story interesting but the roster is full. With the ultimate edition you gain access to Future Fighters and side content, which at this time has not disappointed

A few years ago, Warner Brothers and NetherRealm Studios introduced Injustice: Gods Among Us, a fighting video game that pitted the best of the best from the DC Universe against each other. The first time around, it involved one world - a world of which the Joker tricked Superman into killing Lois Lane and destroying Metropolis, leading the Man of Steel to kill the Clown Prince of Crime and take over the world - meeting another, as the Batman of this dystopian Earth recruits heroes from the Prime Reality to save his own. This time around though, the threat has grown even worse... 5 years after toppling Superman's regime, Batman is now trying to rebuild the world; a world of which becomes threatened when a powerful evil known as Brainiac appears. This cybernetic being, gifted with a 12th level intellect, is determined to not only add Earth's knowledge to his collection, but also claim Superman, the only survivor of Krypton's destruction. In order to stop him, Batman and Superman must put aside their differences and fight to beat him. First of all, the game has great potential. Story wise, this is one of the best DC stories I've seen involving Brainiac, and each character, no matter how small a role, plays a part of some sort. Even more surprising is the inclusion of two different endings, where choosing a side allows the player to determine the fate of the Earth itself. Secondly, the fighting roster is extremely diverse. Returning from the first game is Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Green Arrow, Cyborg, and Aquaman from the heroes side, and Joker, Harley Quinn, Bane, Black Adam, and Catwoman from the villains side. Now, the heroes welcome Black Canary, Firestorm, Blue Beetle, Robin, Doctor Fate, Swamp Thing, and the plucky new Supergirl, while the villains add in Gorilla Grodd, Brainiac, Darkseid, Poison Ivy, Deadshot, Scarecrow, Cheetah, and Atrocitus. DLC Characters feature Red Hood, Starfire, and Mortal Kombat's Sub Zero, and many more will join them later. Voice acting wise, this is extremely superb acting in any video game. Once again Kevin Conroy slips into the cowl of Batman, who's broken, but more hopeful, yet still the same hero we know and low. Superman's again voiced by George Newbern, who nails the broken and more hardened Superman right on the head. Joining the game is the silky smooth voice of Jeffery Combs as Brainiac, who adds the much needed sinister edge to this classic DC villain. Meanwhile, Laura Bailey brings Supergirl to life in a way that combines the innocence and charm of Melissa Benoist's tv version, yet adds the rage of watching a world burn. If there is one thing I will say that's kind of a little frustrating, it's the gear system. Don't get me wrong; the Gear System is a nice little improvement, but it can be a little bit frustrating to not get gear you actually want or need. Nonetheless, it's still a nice touch that needs a little work. Overall, this is one of the best fighting games I've ever played, and I can't wait to see what's next for Injustice 3.

This was definitely one of the best video game purchases I've made all year. As I a fighting game which I enjoy playing, the game is deep and is very fun to play competitively. As for being a DC fan, this game serves that fan service and you need. The game provides so much content for you to do endless things for your characters. You get to dress up your characters with gear that you can obtain in-game, pretty awesome. The story mode rocks. This game is just good.

Injustice 2 has a great story mode, and a good amount of single player content. The graphics are quite good - a definite improvement over the original Injustice. There was a lot of effort put into the DC lore, with a huge amount of unique dialogue between the characters. Multiplayer has a few issues. The biggest issue is with the gear system. This should never have been implemented in a fighting game, and I'm not sure why the developers would have thought it was a good idea. The fighting engine itself just feels a bit clunky overall. Even after taking some time to get used to it, Injustice 2 never feels smooth as other fighting games. Overall it's a great package, and I'd recommend it to DC and fighting game fans.

For a fighting game, Injustice 2 has tons of content. The story mode is fun, but the real meat of the singleplayer game is the Multiverse, which offers hours of fun practice events. Guilds give you more ways to stay in contact with friends, and the fighting is smoother than any previous Netherrealms fighting game before it. Highly recommended!

I know the title of this review may convey negativity towards the first game but if I loved that game this one just takes the cake and it definitely does. The graphics are a huge step from the first especially since this was specifically done for this generation of consoles. It runs smooth from cut scenes to gameplay in the story mode but I am still able to notice a difference in the quality in transition. The voice acting is great. Kevin Conroy is The Batman and of course owns the role in the game as well. From what I have played through the other actors are just as phenominal. Story so far is great and goes with the continuity of the series. Even though I have not read any comic book in between, besides the prologue to this game, the story is not at all confusing. One thing I have to say is that the fight system is and always will be frustrating to me. The Mortal Kombat games never were my forte and this makes me feel clunky as ever. Its perfect for those who love it and it adds moves not unlike things we saw when Street Fighter 5 introduced them. Very similar. If you liked the first get ready for the major upgrade and pick it up today.

Injustice 2 is a resounding follow-up to the initial entry set in an alternate DC Universe where a host of recognizable heroes and villains have a bit of a spin placed on their character. There are some good story elements here and the facial animations via the CGI shots are outstanding. Particular to gameplay, the new gear system lets you have a bit of customization in styling your fighters (look and function). The inclusion of the Multiverse offers good replay value if you're looking to chase better gear or just have some variance in challenges; a far superior addition than the STAR Labs missions from the first game. I also like that the game encourages you to become better versed in the scheme of higher level fighting; bringing concepts like roll escapes and special move cancels in the tutorial. It'll allow you to hone your skills if you want to put in the time. Bottom line is that it's a lot of fun for wherever you are in you video combat prowess. Robust roster of different styles with plenty of over the top fun to keep you invested.

This is an amazingly fun game! If you like fighting games and all the subtle nuances that come with fighters, this is for you. If you've always been intrigued by fighters, but don't know where to start, this is it. If you're someone that doesn't like to play competitive online, Injustice 2 can be enjoyed solo. It has the best story in any fighting game, bar none. There are several single player multiverses for you to take on. Join a guild and up to 50 players can help to complete objectives. This is truly the fighter for everyone. Especially if you like DC.

Injustice 2 is absolutely crazy!! It is so much better then the first game , the online gameplay is great , Injustice 2 is kind of like 2 games in one , you can spend hours going up against other players that are playing the game with you , also you can play solo and play the story line which is endless cause you are constantly adding and upgrading ur characters , it's a lot of fun and never gets boring , if you thought the first Injustice was good , I would highly recommend Injustice 2 , you won't be disappointed, it was well worth the wait!!!!!

This game is amazing! The graphics and story are simply the best and what I got it for. Personally, I'm horrible at fighting games and with the evolution of the genre to be more online focused it has dissuaded me from other games, but I simply cant pass this one up - especially since I was such a fan of the first one. If you haven't bought it yet, what are you waiting for? Also, a little disappointed that I have to wait for the 9 DLC characters to be released. But that doesnt factor in much with my overall rating of the game.

So I got this game because myself and my girlfriend were looking forward to playing a good fighting game, and I am a big DC fan. I played Injustice 1 as well and this completely blows it away in terms of gameplay, graphics, and content. This is by far the best fighting game I have played in a long time. I even prefer it over Mortal Kombat XL. Story mode isn't incredibly long but there alot more to do via the Multiverse. Do not regret buying the ultimate edition with all the DLC that will come in the future.

Injustice 2 is a full packaged fighter for your money's worth. Its visuals are very good to look at. Gameplay is fun and diverse across the whole roster. Online play is stable with very few hiccups. Single player content is very much accommodated with an excellent story mode, varying arcade-style ladders in the Multiverse mode, and heavy emphasis on customization of the looks and stats for the character roster with the gear system. Overall, this is a worthy, well made fighting game.

The game shows a lot of good depth, especially in story mode. There are a lot of cool things to do like fighting online, getting gears, and joining in guilds. Also, the game has good replay by just leveling up your character and going onto multiverse to farm more cash supplies and collecting more epic gear. This game has exceeded my expectations and I recommend for those customers who have played the first game, should at some point try this game.
