I've had the Segway Ninebot Max G30P for a couple years. This review compares it to that experience. If you're looking for a fast scooter, this is a good option at a good value. The build quality of the Ninebot was better. The Inokim Oxo build quality isn't bad, but it just doesn't feel as finished and there were parts I had to adjust after receiving it to make sure they fit snug, tight, as attached as intended. The general assembly is easy. It's very similar to just adding handlebars to a bicycle. It also came with the tools necessary.
The description mentions adjustable height suspension and the instructions included also mentioned adjusting from Low to High. My Inokim came installaed with adapters marked High, and the optional adapters included were marked with High+. There were no adapters included that indicated a Low setting. With High or High+ the platform sits substantially higher than the Ninebot Max. It was pretty easy to switch the height but does require a little fiddling with the swing arm to get it free so that you can change the adapters. What I don't like about the High and High+ suspension is that the kickstand height doesn't change. With both settings, the scooter leans over much further when sitting on its kickstand. This is a small issue, but it takes up a lot more garage room when on it's kickstand.
The speed is great. There aren't many times I want to go over 30mph, but it is nice to have that option. If you don't need extra speed and are comfortable around 20mph, I'd seriously consider the Ninebot Max instead. My biggest complaint with the Ninebot Max was the lack of suspension, which they have added to the Max 2.
I have taken the Inokim on some single-track dirt trails, and it handles well. The dual motor is certainly beneficial for that use. That is something I don't think you would do with the Max, since it's more intended for paved trails. the instructions were pretty brief, and it took me a while to figure out what the red button does. It is what enables/disables the front motor. Other than the button being depressed and the feeling of additional acceleration, there is no indication that the front motor is either enabled or disabled.
At the price point, and without a need to exceed 20+mph or go off road, in hindsight I may have considered two Max 2's instead of 1 Inokim Oxo. It's nice to have riding partners. Overall, if you want the speed and ability to off-road, this is a great option at a good value.

Hi Juggler, Thank you for the detailed review. We offered high and low options in the past, but based on customer feedback, we now provide High and High+ options. We will be sure to clarify this in our manual. If you prefer the lower adjustment, we will sent you the appropriate part. If you want to make the kickstand higher, we'll send you an extension. Please email [email protected] with your preference. Thank you!

I bought this scooter for my wife to commute to work. She weights 220lbs and can get it to almost 38mph. I weight 330lbs and can get it to 33pmh. And it feels really fast. This scooter is awesome!

I did a lot of research and almost 3 months later I am still blown away of how incredible this Inokim OXO scooter is. I also loved picking it up at the store without having to worry about it arriving in pieces because it weighs 80 lbs.

A lot of fun. Fast. I’m 240lbs and it will still spin the front tire if I’m not leaning forward. Very smooth ride too. Saw complaints about support but I had an issue with back brake and I called the number on their web page, somebody answered and one of the techs walked me through how to fix it. I thought that was great support!

The scooter itself is awesome. I've owned a lot. But the companies attend to detail is terrible. Lots of small scratches over it. The protective guard to make sure it doesn't collapse was ripped in the box. I contacted their support and they won't reply. The breaks after 2 days are now rubbing like crazy and just shrieking when I ride. Seems like a $2K money trap and a small startup that won't be around in a year when you need help

Honestly it’s a great scooter. Had a lot of compliments with it. There are some pros and cons to this scooter though:
Pros:
-It’s portable
-Max speed up to 40mph/60mile radius
-Easy to assemble out of the box
Cons
-NEEDS better lighting when riding at night for the price I’m paying for
-NEEDS better horn
-NEEDS better horn
- REAR Tire don’t last long and go flat often especially if you exceed 25mph round trip with no breaks in between riding to go from point A to B and back. The Rear tire overheats too easily. I highly advise riding at night to minimize the heat on the rear tire no matter what speed you are riding.
Overall great built, but can be better for the price point I’m paying for my INOKIM OXO. I only ride at night because the rear tire often gets flat which is annoying even when I change the tire to a an “off road tire” and the inner tube still gets flat and over heats easily. I think they need to find a better heat dissipation mechanism or something, but that’s out of my capability to figure it out. Because most cars are able to handle it. Lol.

This scooter is great I love it more every time I ride it. This thing has power the dual motors really pull you handles hills no problem. I live in Phoenix and have been cruising to work, gym, grocery store and can say it’s a SMOOTH ride sidewalk, bumpy road, bike lane, even off road scooter amazingly stable never feel like it’s unstable or gonna fall over. Have even adjusted my feet at speeds of 25mph+. Scooter is a bit heavy around 70lbs but can easily carry it up the stairs to keep in my apartment. Range is great to have gotten 40+ miles on single charge but I do ride mostly in single engine mode in mode 3. Have to say quality of materials is great too solidly built machine nothing feels cheap I believe it will last for years. Makes commute more and is an absolute joy to ride.

High quality, fast acceleration, very stable at high speeds, very powerful, simple to replace the tires compare to other scooters, great scooter to go for your budget, motorcycles and cars can be expensive so this choice can be a great advantage, would recommend a friend who is looking for a safe durable scooter to use for work or for fun.

I have the Inokim OXO scooter and it's true that the scooter rides smoothly, fast , sleek and stylish. Upon delivery there's minimal to no assembly required other than attaching the rear fender if you like and checking the air pressure The one thing no one mentions is the Inokim tech support team. THEY ARE PHENOMENAL! I had a couple issues upon delivery of my scooter and they responded promptly and sent me the replacement items needed. Few months later my thumb throttle started sticking and wasn't returning to the start position after being pressed. I reached out to Inokim customer support and they responded promptly with a link for setting up a video session. Sebastián was on time, cordial, quick and resolute. A week or so later after that video session with Sebastián I received a replacement thumb throttle that was easy to install. Segway, Vsett, Voromotor may have faster modern looking scooters, but how is their after sales support? Inokim support from my experience has been stellar! I highly recommend their products especially the OXO. Ive attached a picture of my OXO scooter with my friend Vsett 10+ in the background.

I must say that from the first night, I did 30 miles in my new OXO. Even though it is a bit heavy, I can take it without problems in my subway transfers through Miami. I love that it comes with a double suspension system, which makes the trip much more comfortable; highly recommended.

I am a Best Buy employee and this scooter is a beast! I've 124 miles in a few months and the acceleration off the line never gets old. I HIGHLY recommend starting in single motor mode before trying dual both motor mode. This is nothing like a rental scooter, so it takes a a bit for your mind to adjust to how fast this monster is! Once you get use to it, its an absolute thrill to ride! The suspension absorbs the biggest bumps in the road and the tube tires smooth out the little cracks. The hydraulic brakes will stop it on a dime and the handle bars are wide with excellent grips. The wide handle bars also leave room for plenty of accessories! I routinely ride around with my iottie phone mount, ravemen front light (with separate adapter for smaller handle bars), and Chrome double track bag. If you have any issues with the scooter out of the box, PLEASE contact Inokim first! They have excellent customer and can help you with most common issues, I've already reached out to them twice and they were a huge help! Lastly, be aware that this is a 70lb scooter, not something most people would want to carry up a flight of stairs. Overall I LOVE this scooter and have a tough time riding anything slower. But dont take my word for it, look up reviews on youtube and you'll see how much people love their inokim scooter!

This was an impulse buy because it was on a discounted price. I was going to return it. I’m glad I didn’t. It’s been sitting in my garage for more than 2 months since it got delivered and opened it today. It was missing a bolt for the rear wheel splash guard and had to contact inokim for that and they said they’ll send me one. Others say there’s a lag with the throttle but for me it’s perfect. I do not plan on racing it so I’m good. I never tried other brands but this scooter’s throttle response is already quick for me and could not imagine that there are even quicker ones out there. Just bought some skateboard grip tapes which I’ll install at a later time since the step board is plastic and can get slippery. It should feel better. I love that it has a cruise control. There is also a red button that you press to engage the dual wheel mode and oh yea you’ll feel a night and day difference. I heard it uses up more juice from the battery though so I plan on staying away from it if I’ll just ride within the city but this should be applicable if you go off-roading. I give it four stars because lighting is not good on this thing. I had to buy an aftermarket headlight and the rear light is only on the right side. It would’ve made more sense if it is on the left side since cars will pass you by on that side making you more visible to them and also that the step board does not have a grip and that it has no IP ratings to know how water resistant is this thing. Other than that it is a fun toy but it would not be a toy anymore when I will use it to commute to work on warmer weather.

The scooter moves as advertised. With a 250 pound rider, it can consistently move 39mph on flat ground. The front brake was non-functional out of the box because it leaks. The manufacturer says brakes are excluded from the warranty because they’re a wear item. The charging port is inadequately supported and sometimes I have to remove the plastic panel in which it is seated to retrieve it from inside the scooter.

I like the fact that you can choose between 1 motor or 2 motors. 1 motor is zippy goes from 0 to 10mph almost instantly then eases upto 25ish. 2 motors holy chit batman 0 to 20mph very very fast then eases its way upto 37-40mph and im 345lbs the shocks handle my weight perfectly the front wheel does a small burnout every time i take off i am super impressed with this
