I am by no means a picky consumer so I will say that this air conditioner was a absolute great buy! We bought it since we live in a one bedroom upstairs apartment and heat rises so our bedroom would be an oven. Between me and my wife we installed it with the window kit in about 10 minutes or less. We love the remote control it comes with and leave it on running for about a couple hours until the cool night kicks in. Our bedroom is medium size and it cools it efficiently within 15 minutes or so to a cool 75 degrees. We have yet to move it to the living room since the most important thing to us is to sleep cool so we haven’t tested it in on a bigger room but the power on it probably won’t cool it as well but it might be better then no cooling at at. Overall would recommend to someone looking to sleep and be comfortable in their bedroom.

My downstairs office room, which measures 200 sq.ft., doesn't receive adequate air conditioning from our centralized AC unit, making it uncomfortably hot in summer. To address this issue, I opted for a portable AC unit Insignia 350 Sq.Ft. Initially, I was concerned about installation due to our security alarm system. The exhaust vent of the AC unit needed to be passed through a window that had to remain open during operation, causing the window to lose contact with the alarm sensors and preventing the room from being armed. Additionally, leaving the window open posed a security risk. To resolve these challenges, I contacted my security alarm company and requested they install a sensor on the side of the window instead of relying on the existing one. I also had a window door lock installed to ensure the window remained securely closed when needed. With these adjustments in place, the AC unit now operates as expected, keeping my office pleasantly cool even on hot days. Best Buy ever. 1 slight hiccup with the timer but once it cools enough I’ll cut it off myself. Legs ain’t broke. Some people complain about the noise. But hey…. U wanna be cool or not? Also advise to get one that cover more sq footage no matter what. Gets the room cooler quicker. If you dont have the money for it get a Best Buy credit card. That’s what I did.

I LOVE my portable AC unit! It does a wonderful job cooling off a large room. It was a lifesaver when our AC went out and helps our living room stay super cool in the AZ summers. It’s also easy to install in the window. If you are looking for an affordable and easy way to cool off a room in your home, this is a great option.

It gets too hot in summer time here in CA but this portable air conditioner is doing a great job in maintaining cool air in our room. It is a little loud but it does not bother me at all. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good quality air conditioner.

Very nice, solid build. It does the job of cooling down the room quickly. Simple setup porting to the window. More than enough accessories are provided and are of good quality. This is way more preferred to a window unit! Really, the only issue it has for me is the cover vibrating (when the compressor kicks in.) Adding a little mass to the sides (mass-tape) quiets it right down. I haven't used all of its modes - I just start it cooling and walk away. It's standing on a board, not carpet, and it rolls very easy. For that reason, I prefer to use the remote. The remote is easy to read and is kept at the other end of the room. It comes with a clear hose to drain any water down to a bin. It's hooked up but hardly anything, if anything, drains out. At the end of June when the humidity climbs there might be more water collected.

I live in an upstairs apartment with southwest facing windows. It gets pretty hot on the summer. Since the windows have a plastic frame, it’s too awkward for a windows unit in my bedroom so I got this portable unit. It was the most btus I could find that I didn’t have to have shipped. It really helps to cut down on the heat and humidity, though I wish it were stronger. It can take a while for it to cool things down in the evenings when I get home from work. Though the Sun is blazing against that side of the house, and the windows. Blackout curtains help significantly, but this place is old, and I can’t be sure how good the wiring is, which can effect functionality.

This is a really good portable AC. Easy set up. My air handler went out on a Saturday, I’m here in south Texas so it’s really hot. I got this one to get by for one room, it cools it off In minutes. Then next day I got another one another room just to be safe. Again easy set up…these 106 degree hot days we use it to cool down a room for a bit, it’s awesome.

My bedroom AC went out during a heat wave so this was an emergency purchase. The reviews were good, easy installation, let's see how it goes I thought. Well it goes great. I got this on 6/20 & today is 8/1. I have not had to drain it yet. Keeps my bedroom as cool as it can considering the heat & horrible insulation in my apartment. It's super easy to install, took 10 minutes maybe. Then when summer is over I'll take it out & wheel it to the closet. Very happy with this.

It’s a nice and a quality product. I’ve tried it for a few hot days now. There is room for improvements. I had to seal the union points between plastic pieces since I realized hoy air was coming in from there. This helped a lot. I could tell the difference. I don’t understand how insignia can’t see/fix this design issues. The AC helps a lot but I don’t think it can actually really COOL a 350 sqf space as expected. I like it. It does the job. And for the price I don’t regret after all since I needed a wall AC and those are far more expensive. And I like the fact I can move this AC from one room/window to another.

I just set this up and am pleased with how quick it cooled down the bedroom. Machine is not too loud compared to other portable AC units I’ve had in the past. I will say that for the amount you pay, their brackets and parts should come in better shape. I the parts out of the box and found the part that goes on the window already slightly broken. Luckily I could still use it as is but for the price you pay I expect the parts to not look like this.

Our downstairs HVAC system needed a new blower motor right in the middle of the 105*+ heat in Texas. Since it would take about a week for the part to be available, shipped and installed by the HVAC technician, we bought this unit to use in the master bedroom to keep the room cool, especially at night while sleeping. This thing worked PERFECTLY! We kept the bedroom and bathroom doors closed, cranked this thing on and were perfectly comfortable (including our pup!). Now that the HVAC is unit is fixed, we decided to keep using this at night so the room is cooling a little more efficiently along with the central A/C unit. Highly recommend!

The unit is perfect I cools down the room the only bad thing is, it came with a broken wheel, but it so funny the reviews I saw before I bought it saying, doesn’t cool a room doesn’t blow cold enough and I thought, come on people what do you want??? Get a small unit a cool off an entire house? Or open all the windows and still keep the house fresh?? Or you wanna freeze your house??? The unit like I said is perfect my room is 14.9 x 14ft and it gets really cold, it’s a little bit loud but makes the same noise like any other window a/c, simply happy with my purchase, and by the way out there is 94F and the a/c works amazing…

Great portable AC chills master bedroom with no issues...Love the auto mode.i set a temperature and it will shutoff or run to keep the temp instead of freezing me at night. Also cools my large living toom. My cieling is 18 feet on one end and about 10 on the other.... I like the fact that i dont seem to need to drain the water that often.

I love this portable AC it keeps my rooms very cool . It actually keeps 2 rooms cool at the same time very powerful. Only downside it’s too loud but it’s great

I,ve been using it for 3 yers now. Its july 2024 nd got it in july 2022. Only used it on summer time. And is strong as the first day. My room is about 14 ft x 17 ft. It takes 20 min to get it cold .

Super easy to hook up to my window. It works incredibly well and cools down a good area very quickly.
