This little converter box was easy to set up and I have a nice clear picture on my TV. One thing I do notice is that the voice vs lips gets off sync frequently. I need to power down both the converter box and the TV when this happens. I didn’t have that same issue with my last converter box, so that leads me to believe that this box is causing the problem. It’s not serious enough to return, however. So, I am happy with the purchase and the value.

Easy to hook up. Only complaint is sometimes the channel buttons on the remote change the volume or the volume buttons change the channel.

I opened the box, looked at the instructions, and made the electrical connections. Following the instructions were easy and scanning for available channels went well. One channel had too low signal, but reorienting the antenna likely would have fixed this but I was not interested in that channel since all the other 31 channels came in just fine.

Despite retail staff saying this converter did not exist, my reading of the description on the box gave me hope it would make it possible to use an indoor antenna to see local broadcast TV. It works. I found amplified antenna elsehere to complete the peocess.

For those that use an LCD projector and need an HDMI tuner for an antenna, this is what you need! I was concerned that I wouldn’t have a high def signal to my projector, but it does exactly that. Don’t use a cheap VCR with no HDMI out. Use this baby! My only issue with it is how touchy my remote is. Takes a little getting used to.

If you have only a monitor with HDMI inputs and you want to watch off-air TV, this is a box to consider. I have had two of them in service in a commercial application for about six months, this particular box I bought to replace one that went bad. It would fail after 5 to 10 minutes. Provides a very good picture on a 55 inch monitor using a high-gain off-air antenna. I would buy again if the circumstances require it.

Insignia TV digital converter is good

While I like the interface, I wish the names of the channels would be displayed when rescanning so the stations added or omitted can be seen. Also, a feature to add or edit channels like the Digital Stream converter and save the existing channels is needed. User should be able to save the channels when rescanning and only need to adjust the antenna or edit channels. I like the remote control. It is not cheaply made like some with other converters. It feels good in my hand. I had to stop using my Digital Stream before because the remote control broke and I couldn’t find another one and couldn’t find the code to use a universal remote. Bought this Insignia converter on sale but missed a much better sale on it because I hesitated on making the purchase. That price was probably a mistake but it was in line with the cost of many other converters and much cheaper than the sale I got. Insignia is higher in cost than many others but system is sturdy in terms of feel. I would buy another one. I also liked the prompt contactless delivery in this Covid-19 pandemic era.

makes any analog tv work even a monitor. the only bad thing is that it freezes on certain channels and then you have to disconnect everything and plug everything back up. can be annoying but i learned to stay away from the channels it freezes.

I'm rating this highly because the recipient is thrilled with this converter box. It was easy to set up. The picture is good. We attached an antenna, I believe, which helped get better reception of the incoming signal. I'm a novice.......

The remote is wacky. Volume control changes channels but when does change volume, sometimes have to press button over and over. Channel button sometimes changes volume, but when changes channel, it is highly sensitive, skipping over channels so quickly, it skips the channel I want. Pic on tv is very clear.

Xfinity will jam customers with equipment rental fees of $9.99 per month for seldom used spare bedroom tv’s. This device allows users in regions where antenna signals are good and available to pair down usurious cable charges, affording customers to retain/repurpose functioning analog TVs

If you don't watch that much TV, and are not a cable or satellite subscriber than you need a digital converter box to receive broadcast signals on an older analog television. This device does the job well, and is compact. I am saving money by not paying the cable or satellite companies, and you have to be OK with that.

Bought this converter box to connect my antenna to my recent TV purchase. The setup took only a few minutes and I was watching my local channels. No longer have to pay large cable bills for local new channels.
