Insignia RCA to HDMI Converter works flawlessly

The first one is being used to connect a VHS tape deck to my Samsung TV. This second one is being used to connect a Wii system to the TV since I have no RCA jacks on the TV itself. Both work flawlessly. The Insignia converter is a little more expensive than those found on Amazon; however I once tried one of those converters and it never worked properly. I would rather spend a little more to ensure I get a quality product that works properly.

I purchased this converter to transfer images and video from RCA cable to HDMI cable connection for my Nintendo Wii because my new television does not have RCA Jack's/ inputs. It was easy to setup and connect all cables and device. The picture quality and video game functionality are great.

Using this converter I have found that my Wii and Dreamcast looking amazing on the tv, best upscaling I've seen from something that isn't specifically made for gaming. This is certainly as good as the picture gets when it is displayed on such a large screen and the device does a good job of making sure the picture is clear and sharp unlike cheaper converters. If you are looking for the best converter that is affordable this is the one!

The reason I needed this was to connect my Wii to my TV because my TV only had an HDMI port. I have been using this for amount 2 weeks now and works perfectly.

I'm well pleased, even though it was more expensive than I thought it would be.

Now my grandson can use the Wii on our Samsung QN55 tv. As expected, the picture quality is not as clear and bright compared to the new hdmi compatable game devices. This option was the most versatile and cost effective way to link old and new tech.

Making my old consoles compatible for new TV's

Colors are a bit darker but the video looks the same with no compromise. Although I must note I am using gold tipped av cords for the console so video quality might vary for everyone else. For me however, this was an excellent choice.

This converter finally gave me the results I was looking for. No distortion, no signal issue. Simple to connect. It comes with it’s own power supply so there is no need to connect to USB power.
