An improvement over the old designs that were clunky and very big. Love the compact size that allows you to travel easy with it for hotel rooms that haven't upgraded their tvs. Very happy with purchase. Right value for a piece of equipment I don't need to use all the time.

New digital cable boxes no longer provide a coaxial output jack. If you have an older analog television that either does not have RCA jacks, or, does not allow the use of its RCA jacks as an input device, this RF Modulator is the solution. To install: 1. Connect the 3 color-coded RCA cables between the cable box and the RF Modulator, color-to-color, on both ends. 2. Connect a short coaxial cable between the RF Modulator and the coaxial input jack on the TV (often marked 'Cable' or 'Antenna' (or sometimes just 'ANT')) - this is most likely the same cable that used to connect to your old cable box. 3. Connect the included power supply to the RF Modulator and plug it in to a live electrical outlet (power strip, etc). 4. Set the TV to either channel 3 or 4. If your TV has a switch on the back for this, make sure the switch setting and the TV channel selected match. 5. Turn on the cable box and you should be in business. Quick and easy install - worked first time.

If you have an old TV that only has a RF fitting (Coax Nipple) then this unit is a must. This will provide your TV with composite inputs which while they don't provide the BEST definition, it does provide connectivity with virtually every device out there. The unit does require an A/C adapter to be plugged into the wall for use.

Our VCR/DVD player broke and the new models didn’t connect with the way our TV/Cable set up worked. This will be a great temporary solution until we can get the wires in the wall changed. It doesn’t give us HD TV for $20 it’s a great short term solution.

This was awesome for setting up my projector! Since my projector is a little bit older, it doesn’t have a HDMI hookup, so this did e trick. Easy to use. My only issue is that the power chord is a little short, but not a deal breaker.

I use the RF Modulator for my Karaoke business by outputting the singer's screen to all the TVs in the venue. I had previously used the venue owner's modulator but after some time it became a hassle to disconnect-move-reconnect every night plus setting it as it was during pack-up. I purchased my own to save time. One difference I noticed between this one and the venue owner's more expensive version is that it puts out a much stronger signal. I have to disconnect the venue's network of TVs from the local cable provider to let the modulator's signal get through. With this modulator, it actually overpowers the local cable on the closest TV without having to disconnect. The main upside is that once I disconnect the local cable, the signal is clear on all the TVs, even those on the furthest side of the venue. Previously they were a but fuzzy. This is totally worth the price. The only downside is that it does not have an LED to indicate when it is on or when it has a signal. If I could change one thing about it, that would be it.

This worked As expected. It’s easy to set up and I was able to test it. We have a DVD/VHS combo. It converted well, the picture is still as bad as VHS is but we were able to watch a movie.

I knew exactly what I needed and BestBuy was the only place to get it. This product works as intended, is easy to setup, and once setup it works by itself. No switching wires, no switching inputs, just turn your A/V product and it shows up on the screen. The product is sturdy and durable.

It works fine using it to connect my vhs player to a modern tv and looks good

This is a quality product that performs exactly as described. I connected my directv receiver to an additional remote tv and they both work flawlessly. It is easy to set up and I would recommend it to anyone trying to connect A/V devices to a tv that lacks A/V jacks.

If you have an AV device that you want to hookup to a television without an AV input, this adapter will do the trick. It has always worked well for me.
