We bought this device to be able to record speaking opportunities. The remote works well. Of course, you have to remove the phone from any protective case in order for it to fit in the stand. Great device for the money.

I bought this to take to Colorado, from the reviews, I thought I might like the flexible handles to attach to trees and such while I hiked through the mountains. Unfortunately I did not get to use it as my dog chewed it before that happened. It did seem to fit my phone and have the flexibility of fitting other phones through its spring phone holder, however. I was excited to use the product, I would purchase again to actually try it out.

Great little tool to have. Makes taking still photos easier by setting up the phone on the tripod. The remote was a nice added benefit as well. Stand is sturdy and stays on place. I have a Galaxy s8+ and it fits fine.

Great mini tripod Young can sit it up on a table or anything to take selfies with. One touch of the Bluetooth button and you got great pictures. Great for using a smart phone!!!

Needed a small tri-pod for my daughter's phone so she could make You-Tube videos - it worked great - loved the remote.

Very good phone tripod with the shutter remote. Tripod is very sturdy and the shutter remote is great for pics of a group or selfies at a distance.

This is a pretty handy device to have. It comes in handy as a regular tripod and you can also mounted with the bendable legs to say the back of a chair. I like the remote best of all. You can set up your iPhone and get everything in position and then hit the remote and you'll get a nice picture without jerking the phone around. The only reason I gave it four stars is because there is no way to turn it around from the horizontal to the vertical position.

Starting a lego stop motion project, and this works great. Legs are not extendable so it has to be placed on something to get a higher view, but for table top height etc it's great. Remote connected right away and works great too. Easily holds my massive Galaxy s10 Plus in a chunky case.

Excellent little flexy-grip mini-tripod at an affordable price point. It has been holding up wonderfully, so the build is actually quality as compared to a rinky-dink Walmart alternative that I tried using before this, which fell apart very quickly. This, in contrast, has done exactly what I wanted it to do and is very high quality, providing excellent value at a low price. I haven't tried using the remote shutter, so I can't comment on that. No complaints here.

If you're looking for a cell phone tripod with bendy-flexible legs, a Bluetooth remote cell phone camera shutter button with an included battery and you're on a budget, then the Insignia Tripod & Bluetooth Shutter package is for you. Here, Best Buy (maker of Insignia products) has created a cheap alternative to the popular-but-pricey Joby GorillaPod Magnetic Tripod with Ivation Wireless Bluetooth Camera Shutter Remote Control package though the Insignia packge does not feature a magnetic base. The Insignia Tripod fails in only one category: It is not designed to hold your cell phone in portrait mode while you snap your selfies. It's designed for landscape photography only - but since the Insignia Tripod is a bendy-legged beast, you can twist it into a pretzel shape, which will successfully hold your phone upright for portrait-style photography. The overall Tripod package, once unboxed, screams no-frills, cheap but functional, all at once. Turn on the remote shutter via a switch on the side and a blinking light lets you know its ready to pair with your phone. The round, black remote shutter is very straightforward in its operation - it even features a short lanyard, and its range is reasonable - in general, a nice addition to the Tripod package. The Insignia Tripod is made of durable black plastic, foam rubber and metal. The collapsible, spring-loaded, plastic clamping mechanism which holds your cell phone should fit easily around most phone cases - my Galaxy S7 wearing an Otterbox Defender squeezed in nicely. Articulation is a problem all-around: Each leg has only approximately 15 degrees of movement outward, and the clamping mechanism only rotates upward / outward in one direction. However, the bendy legs of the tripod can be argued into numerous positions in order to address uneven surfaces. Rotating the clamp causes it to unscrew from its tripod base, but it can be done. The clamp can be dogged into firm position by a plastic lever on the side of the tripod. Before you consider not purchasing this tripod, keep in mind that it is indeed a cheap steal at just under $35.00. This is a fantastic product. Very stable, yet versatile and no problems at all with the Bluetooth shutter transmitter. Would recommend. Even bought one for a friend!

A handy little device, and the Bluetooth remote lets you take group photos from a reasonable distance. And enables you to get in the photo as well. The cons have already been mentioned: the phone clip only accommodates horizontal position; The tripod is tippy and keeps falling over unless you support it with something. Good start Insignia but, as I said, needs work.

We bought this to use with our Samsung S8+ for a grad school photography project. The tripod is great for the price and the Bluetooth remote shutter was a nice bonus.

Great product. The mini tripod bends, twists, and turns to get exactly the correct angles. The tiny bluetooth remote works brilliantly. I use it for selfies, too.
