Handles all my tasks with ease -- spreadsheets, simple graphics, email, websurfing, file transfers, etc. Built in graphics handles videos files easily. Have not tried overclocking yet. No issues with heat, even with the stock cooler.

I had been shopping around for new computer parts and this proccesor was a no brainer for my needs. It is a good quality and I would suggest it to anybody who is planing to make a PC for gaming. FYI I would suggest picking up a better CPU cooler especially if you are doing anything demanding such as gaming.

This processor is quite possibly the best mid-range CPU you can buy. I mainly use it for gaming, and it handles it very nicely. Comes with a great speed out of the box, and overclocking capability.

I got this processor for my son to upgrade his old computer and it was a great deal and is alot faster than the last processor that he had in his computer.We have not overclocked it yet, but will in the near future.

I installed this i5 4690k in an MSI z97 gaming 5, this processor is perfect for over locking to my needs, 3.7 ghz stable and I had this babe up to 4 ghz, however, it crash during the CPU benchmark. But still, I can run ARMA III seamlessly, as well as other CPU Intencive games. This is the best bang for your buck as far as Intel goes. I just wish it had more than 2 threads but the quad cores at 3.7 ghz is my happy medium.

Great processor for the price. Only thing holding me back from a perfect windows rating however. After overclocking I'm sure that rating will change.

This is one of the fastest processors I've ever had the pleasure of using. When building my pc I was fighting myself on whether I wanted to use this or save a little with the AMD processor. I'm glad I chose this, it's blazing fast, stays nice and cool with minimal effort, and overall a quality product as expected from Intel.

Intel really rocks with this cpu. If you need performance and push a good OC, look no further at this price point.

I was looking for a chip that could handle the latest triple titles without creating a bottle neck with my GTX 980 and both were accomplished. I would definitely recommend for the average gamer who's on a budget but still wants to keep up with the herd

Used this cpu in conjunction with a gtx 970. Runs most games 1080p on ultra no issues at all.

Bought the processor and installed in in my new gaming PC build and man, what a difference form the old AMD Phenom II 830 I had. Even at stock speeds it is amazing. Highly recommend it.

Got BB to price match a great sale going on so I got this around $180. I haven't OC'ed it yet as I am waiting for a cooler to ship out to HI. Without OC'ing I am still very happy and can tell this chip will be good for years to come!

I used this CPU for my first gaming PC build and it is great. No issues installing and it manages everything I have thrown at it so far.

This is a fantastic chip! Overclocked great and is running flawlessly and cool with the corsair h100i.

It is a great processor. I would recommend this processor over all other 1151 socket. If I were doing a fresh build I would go for the 6th generation i5.

My son just built his first computer and used this processor. He is very happy with the results.

Chose the i5 didn't feel like i needed the i7 overclocked it at 4.6ghz with the Phanteks P14 cooler great combo

This is a good quality CPU for the money, but I prefer the i7 4790k.

After many years I left AMD for this and wow what a difference.
