    Although this processor isn't the fastest it is a solid processor. I use it for gaming and video editing in my rig. The skylake platform runs cooler so at idle the processor is at room temp with the H80i gt cooler I use. There are ways to overclock a non-k processor, so unless you're looking for extreme overclocking this processor is a better value.

    Worth every penny for my skylake build. Gaming rigs do not need an 8 core processor, so going with a 4 core saved money on the build. This with an SSD drive is blazing fast.
