    This is a great CPU. Even though I am a gamer, I always go for an i7. Doing so extends the time between upgrades. This was no exception. My Firestrike score doubled from the previous CPU. All Intel CPUs overclock themselves based on the number of cores used. This makes the 5930k explosive in games. It is worth every penny.

    The i7 5930k is a beast of a chip. I upgraded from an i7 990x, which struggled to reach 30 fps on fire strike. The 5930k enabled me to get over 1500 fps! In both I used a GTX 780. This is a solid must have.

    This is an awesome cpu, you can get the lower one but i am going to upgrade and get a second 980ti so the 40 pcie lanes are pretty cool, but the speed and number of cores are awesome. doing 3d work and vid rendering, and some gaming and recording at the same time and it doesn't even break a sweat. i would recommend if you have the funds.

    Best CPU i've owned. with 6 physcal cores and a crazy amount of cache, I cant even get this CPU to break 30c even with some very high resolution gaming and media processing. Worth EVERY dollar. AND - BestBuy had the best pricing around by at least $20 bucks at the time of purchase. Go BestBuy - go 5930K. BTW - CPU overclocked like a CHAMP out of the box. GET IT. NOW.

    works amazingly. havent been able to give it the workload i intend to but soon so far it has done a superb job. and gaming is great too. but i got this primararly for work, a 5820k for gaming if you want or if you have the money this or the next one up. its awesome.

    I haven't built a new CPU in five years but decided to with HD video editing the norm now. With SSD drives and this processor rendering is four times faster.
