super fast and productive. good for the price as well

If your not gonna be getting a 9th gen CPU your just shooting yourself in the foot if you get anything besides this beast. Will handle what you need it to and ready for overclock. Just threw mine in on a Maximus X Code motherboard with some Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut and a Thermaltake 360mm AIO.

I decided to build a computer as I was tired of the frame-locks and slowness of consoles. This processor has been amazing for the price I got it at. It hasn’t overheated and handles every game I would want to play (but that’s also due to my 2070 super). If you’re a first time computer builder, I highly recommend this processor.

This processor is a very powerful processor it makes everything on my computer run very fast and smooth, changing from tab to tab never felt any faster, it runs cooler than my last i5 7600k If you have the money there is no better option than this processor, ryzen is cheaper but it lacks support

The 8700k is amazing, they run hot but at idle with a h115i Pro liquid cooler I’m at 29c. Im going to overclock it after I get some more software on it.

This processor runs amazing. I didn't bother to overclock it and I know it can run at least 4.9ghz or 5ghz. I didn't wanna risk the life span of this processor. I would LOVE to overclock it but I rather not. It runs flawlessly with Windows 10 and PC gaming. Has six cores and twelve hyper-threads that can dominate anything you need running in the background or if you wanna multi-task. Such a great processor. Rated high benchmarking score in User benchmark too. I was blown away at how my graphics look with Ultra settings. I love this processor. It has been several years and this is my first i7 processor. I fell in love with its performance! It's the best. I recommend getting it unless you wanna get an i7 9700k Which performs well good and stronger but it lacks hyperthreading but your choice in the end! This processor has the eye of the tiger!

Been buying Intel processors and building my own desktops since before most of you reading this were born. For the last decade or so they always came with a fan in the box. Well the I7-8700K does not have a fan in the box ( the I7-8700 Does by the way) . The processor works fine . If your not a gamer it is unlikely you will need this many cores as most of the Office and WEB site stuff doesn't kick in even more than a couple of the cylinders. Still I only upgrade every 10 years or so I bought for the future. This NOTE is for BEST BUY. The PICTURE ON YOUR web SITE SHOWS the FULL SIZE box that normally has a FAN in it. SHOW the SMALLER BOX and make a NOTE in the item DESCRIPTION "NO COOLER/FAN INCLUDED"

Did some researching on intel processors and this one had good reviews on it. So far it’s been able to hold up just fine on every video game Ive played on it running right at 60 FPS on ultra settings. I’d recommend a water cooler to go with it as well, just fans weren’t enough to keep her within safe temps.

This is an amazing cpu. It can deal with everything that I throw at it. From gaming to video editing. Has amazing thermals as long as you get a good heatsink. Which is the only downfall about this cpu, it does not come with one. Other then that this cpu is perfect.

If you want the best CPU for gaming, then it's a very simple decision. It's got six powerful cores and overclocks much better than most previous generations. You will need a very good CPU cooler if you want to overclock though. These chips run HOT.

This is an all around solid CPU for gaming or workstations. Obviously there are different levels/prices/strengths of other CPU's but for the price this is a good all around CPU

Upgraded from an older i5, for a rebuild and it’s amazing. Haven’t had any issues so far and I’m very happy with performance. Gaming and image/video editing runs great!

i bought this cpu to finish a new build to replace an older gaming computer with a amd rx 8350 cpu. the cpu is in a msi z370 motherboard, liquid cooled. Big improvement in performance. I run the chip at 4.5 ghz, temps are good and the system has been stable for 3 weeks. I use the computer for everything, gaming, vr, high resolution audio playback, streaming video. It handles everything i can throw at it with no problems. Very pleased.

Purchased this for a new gaming/ streaming rig I was building. It works amazing, was simple to install, and works very well with my my 1070.

This CPU is amazing, I haven't overclocked it yet and im not sure I will because the CPU hits 4.0 Ghz every time.

The I7 8700K processor is so fast! It makes 4K gaming run so smooth. I have an ASUS Maximus X board, and together they work seamless!

My last CPU was 4+ years old, this 8700k is super fast! And OC to 5G with no issue. Best Buy’s price match process was very smooth!

The 9900k is the flagship desktop CPU from Intel now, but it has major heat issues especially when overclocking. However, the performance benefit is only marginal in PC games over the 8700k. Buy this CPU if you're looking to not break the bank and also to get the max FPS in your PC games.

I was having trouble with my computer and when I bought this processor it made it faster. Very easy to install too
