Surprisingly capable when overclocked. I have this on a board with an external clock generator. Its been running at 5.0ghz for a couple of months, found a stable 5.2ghz setting. I was going to just use it for a placeholder, but it honestly benches as well as some of the 7th gen i7s now that I'm just going to see how long it will keep this up. If you're just building a basic pc, it should be more than capable of doing what is needed.

Fast for a 2 core 4 thread chip. And with the right motherboard and cooling can be overclocked to well north of 5 GHz. But ultimately if gaming is the goal its much better to spend the extra couple of dollars and purchase an I3 12100F. Those 2 extra cores and faster clockspeed make for a much better gaming experience. For office PCs though? Or for just browsing the web or using Microsoft Office thing is snappy and will be plenty powerful.

Really fast for a dual core -- probably the fastest ever built. Definitely worth the extra money over the Celeron. The Celeron only has 2 threads, but this Pentium is hyperthreaded so it has 4 threads. A great little CPU that gives you a good upgrade path for the future.

I am very impressed with how snappy this little low powered CPU is. You won't be gaming on it but for a low power general light use system, this CPU is great. It is currently running my main mining rig and only ever gets warm when it is needing to download programs, otherwise its quiet and quick. They included cooler is actually pretty nice and a great improvement over the older designed ones.

Excellent processor for light workloads. If all you need is something for web browsing and light office work, this will be a perfect processor.

While its “only” a 2 core, 4 thread CPU; its an Intel Alder Lake 2 core CPU. You’re getting 2 Alder Laker P-cores and a cooler for the low price of $45. Perfect for running a home pfsense/OPNsense/FreeBSD router.

      Posted .

Greetings from the Intel team. Thank you for your review.

We appreciate all feedback that day by day helps Intel® improve its products.

No boot means that the computer isn't functioning as expected, and while lights can be On or Off in the motherboard, no video is displayed on the screen. The system could be power cycling (keeps rebooting) with no post. No display can also mean no lights (LED) on the motherboard or video displayed on the monitor; both terms are interchangeable and describe issues related to a computer that doesn't turn on.

Refer to the motherboard manual for beep code and POST interpretation details.
