=== Summary === The IQAir HealthPro Plus Air Purifier is one excellent air purifying machine. It is built rock-solid and durable, its control panel and remote control are easy to operate, and its three filters do an outstanding job pumping out clean and fresh air while getting rid of odors. The results can be felt & noticed even after just one day of usage. It's a 5-Stars Win product~! _____ *Pros: -Came incredibly well-packed & protected (double-boxed & dense foam). -It's surprisingly lighter than it looks (35 lbs). -Wheels make moving it around easy. Same for the very sturdy top handle bar. -Decently long power cord (10 ft) with a 2-prong power connector. -Simple, easy, and intuitive control panel & remote control operation. -Pretty quiet (speeds 1 through 3). Can sleep through no problem. -The 3 filters are separate & not an all-in-one combo unit. -All 3 filters have relatively long life, especially the Hyper HEPA filter. -Accessing the filters requires no tool. Just snap off & snap on the two locking arms. -Hyper HEPA filter can capture fine & ultrafine particles (e.g., bacteria, viruses, combustion by-products). -Filter life reminder indicator lights are useful. -Magazine-sized user manual is well-written and easy to follow. Lots of useful diagrams & pictures. -10-warranty is AWESOME~!! _____ *Neutral: -Remote control's range is not good. _____ *Cons: -None ==== Design & Build ==== In terms of how it looks, the IQAir HealthPro Plus doesn't really stand out in its plain light gray color. What it lacks in flashy design and more stylish color options, it makes up for it through its high-quality and sturdy plastic build material, its excellent fit-and-finish, and its solid construction. When moving it around via its wheels or the heavy-duty handle, the unit feels rock-solid and doesn't make any rattling or tappity plastic sounds at all. Speaking of wheels, the caster wheels are very easy to install and having them on improves air flow by lifting up the unit an additional two inches off the floor. Air is taken in from underneath the unit, filtered, then expelled out through the top opening which IQAir calls the "Evenflow Diffuser." IQAir says the air is blown out in a 320-degree radius to reduce noise and prevent drafts. After sleeping with the IQAir for several nights, I can definitely confirm that their claims are true. The air sound is even, constant, and very low-noise (at speed settings 1 through 3). At higher speed settings, you may not be able to fall asleep. Your mileage will vary, of course. As for draft prevention, I didn't feel any. When I put my hand across the vents, all I feel are steady and even blow-out of air. The centrifugal fan, which offers speed settings between 1 through 6, performed as expected with no weird or unusual sounds. Speeds ramp up and down smoothly and predictably. For filter access, it is a very simple affair. No tools are required and all I had to do was to use my thumbs and push to pop off the two locking arms. To relock, they just snap back in. For design & build quality, it gets 5-Stars from me. ==== Set Up ==== Using the IQAir HealthPro Plus could not have been any easier. Thanks to its long 10-ft power cord with a 2-prong wall outlet connector, it was easy to find the "sweet spot" for it in any room. With all the filters pre-installed, all I had to do was press the "power on" button to begin using it. By default, the fan speed was set to Level 3 when I first turned it on, which was the perfect setting for my bedroom. In order to calculate the ideal fan speed for a room or living space, the user manual offers a very helpful general formula: Hourly air delivery of IQAir (cfm) x 60 / Air volume of room (cu.ft) (L X W X H) = Air Changes Per Hour (ACH) According to IQAir, an air purifier system "should be able to filter the room air volume at least twice every hour on the set fan speed to achieve a significant air quality improvement." Based on their recommendation and the formula above, my bedroom's air volume would be cleaned three times every hour at fan speed Level 3. For larger living spaces, such as my living room, I had to use the control panel to increase the fan speed to Level 4. Inside the Control Panel menus, there are several options for the user to set - view Filter Life Monitor, set Timer On period, set Automatic Timer days of the week, Timer On fan speed, Timer Off fan speed, Time & Day setting, Filter Life Reset, Airflow Unit display, Language display, and Current Model display. All the buttons on the Control Panel are well-laid out, easy to press, and very responsive to my inputs. The remote control buttons' input responsiveness was also good, but the range was kind of poor. The manual says I should have a 20-ft range but in my case, it was more like 5 to 6 feet. All in all, the IQAir HealthPro Plus is a very easy and intuitive machine to operate. ==== Performance ==== I mainly used the IQAir HealthPro Plus inside my bedroom and it was a pleasure. We have two indoor dogs (a Maltese and an American Eskimo) and one cat (doll-face Persian) and they generate lots of pet pander, loose hair, dust, and odors collectively. The IQAir cleaned up the air and made it refreshing and easier to breathe, reducing allergy symptoms such as runny nose and sneezing. It also managed to suppress and get rid of the lingering dog smell which sometimes wakes me up in the middle of the night. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised about how well it worked considering this is a $900 machine. Regardless, I'm VERY impressed and satisfied with my IQAir HealthPro Plus. With a 4-yo daughter running around everywhere, it is very reassuring to me and to my family to have such an awesome air cleaner. ==== My Take ==== The IQAir HealthPro Plus has definitely lived up to all of its claims for me - solid & durable build quality, low-noise fan, easy & intuitive control panel, odor-eliminating filters, and production of clean and refreshing air. $900 is a lot of money but IQAir justifies its cost through its high-quality air filtration, long filter lives, and flexible timer and scheduling options. Not only that, it will protect both the short-term and long-term health of my family and I, which is the most valuable thing for me in the world.

    A Professional Air Purifier

I currently have 3 Air Purifiers in my home (multiple manufactures), I've found that they reduce dust and improve air quality... which is obviously what they should do. But for larger rooms they must be on high to move enough air to really do a good job (move 2x volume of room/hour). And I don't like the background noise they create (some is to be expected), especially since they get louder the more they've run (until filter cleaned/replaced). the IQAir HealthPro Plus is a much larger Air Purifier than my others, it's maximum coverage area is 1125 sq feet, my others are in the couple of hundred of feet. My great room (Kitchen, Living Room & Family Room) is about 950 sq feet, so this seemed about perfect. Getting the system set up was pretty, easy. The unit is pretty heavy (about 30 lbs), I removed the accessories, and placed the box on it's side and pulled it out by is plastic bag. After that getting the casters on and attaching the cord was a simple task. The rest comes completely assembled (filters already in place). Up and running in 2 minutes.. After reading the instructions (which are very well written), I determined the best location would be the intersection of my 3 rooms (exactly where I had one of my old Air Purifiers). After a little rearranging I was ready to turn it on. The fan makes a much lower frequency noise than my previous unit (higher pitch motor). I decided that the Speed 3 was optimal for the area I had, I prefered speed 2 in terms of sound but 3 moved more air. As I read on I found I could set on off timers, either daily or weekly. I decided to have the unit run at Speed 3 from 11pm till 7am and at Speed 2 from 7am till 7pm and Speed 1 from 7pm till 11pm (at speed 1 it can barely be heard (perfect for Dinner/TV time)). This flexibility allowed me to keep the Air Purifier moving sufficient air but making it more quiet while I'm closest to it. I'm thinking I might cut back on my night time run time after more use/experimenting. The HealthPro Plus unit includes a pre-filter (rated at about 16 months use (replacement cost ~$79)), and a HyperHEPA filter (rated at 4 yrs use (replacement cost ~$199)) and a V5-Cell filter (gas/odor filter; for about $99, rated at 2 yrs usage). A HealthPro unit can be upgraded to a HeathPro Plus with the addition of the V5-Cell filter. A HealthPro Compact can not be upgraded. Changing filters is pretty straight forward, the sides of the Air Filter tower pull away, and the 1st, 4th and 5th module of the tower slides out to change the filters (motor/blower in section 2 & 3). The IQAir comes with a 5 year warranty, which will be extended to 10 if you register your unit with in 30 days of purchase. The unit includes a remote control which allows you to change the speed and turn the unit on and off from up to about 15' away (not sure I'll ever use it, but it's nice have it available). So far I'm very impressed with the unit, it's timers flexibility is awesome, it moves a lot more air than smaller units, and it removes particles much smaller than almost any other product on the market. The product is extremely well made, and with it's extended warranty, I trust that it will have a long useful life. And I'll breath better!

I'm no stranger to HEPA air purifiers, I've had many of them for more years than they were mainstream, with multiples in my house as the norm. Now, you'll see the market flooded with them, some are good, some are okay, some are junk, and then sometimes you find something really great. This one is really great! From the moment you open the box, you see that this is a really well engineered/designed product, and well built too. It is top shelf, best money can buy kind of look and feel. Then you peek under the hood and realize this is much more than simply an air purifier. This is engineering genius and quality product made from serious materials. I was a 9/11 first responder, so clean air is important to me. I've had more sinus and ear infections since that time than you can imagine. Knowing I'm doing all I can do to keep my air clean at home is important to me and will prolong my life. I have dogs, two of them, both with long hair. One that weighs 90lbs and one that weighs 12lbs. Both give off lots of fur, dander, dust, etc. I take them to the park every day, at least once a day, which means they track in dirt/dust/mud/etc. although they don't play in mud or anything. I'm not giving them up, so I have to find ways to minimize the impact on our household air. So, all of that said, I monitor the air quality in my house and tune the humidity, temperature, etc. to what is optimum for healthy air and ease of breathing. I use the best vacuum money can buy, mop the tile/hardwood floors often, and generally look for any additional ways to reduce particulates in the air created by life in general, pollen, dust, etc. Anyway, this unit is amazing. This unit starts with a pre-filter that sucks air in from UNDER the unit, very smart. Then is moves through several more filters, and delivers diffused air through the top of the unit. Many units disperse air in one way only, meaning if you walk by it you get a shot of air that might feel cold on a bad back, or just overwhelming. This one has vents all around and it disperses the filtered air out all around it, so the whole room gets the chance to get fresh air - and it is completely away from the air intake on the bottom. I'm a guy that feels like if I need to read the manual, it wasn't designed well. This was super easy. Install the wheels to the mounting bars, snap on no tools. Snap the mounting bars to the underside of the unit, no tools required. Remove the outer wraps. Plug in, and turn on. Just like that the unit starts running. The control panel provides a logical menu and does not overwhelm you with endless options. I set the day and time, and did that so I could crank up the unit to a higher fan level at night, when everyone was in bed (this unit is on the first floor), without disturbing them with the extra noise. I've been running the unit on 4 of 6 fan speed all day, then use the timer feature to go to speed 6 from midnight to 6am, which gives me time to get vacuuming and mopping done before it goes up to speed 6. By morning, it is back to speed 4 and will have had time to super clean the air to start the new day. This unit comes with a remote, so if you want to crank it up/down while sitting on the couch, you can. You can also turn it on/off from the remote. Menu features require you to go to the control panel, which makes sense. The unit is much quieter than other units I've used at the similar air speeds that produce the same clean air ratings. I think it is because they disperse the air evenly around, not just out the top or side. The fact this has wheels, it makes it easy to move from room to room. This is important, so you can move it to where you are spending time at any given part of your day. I keep it in our living room/dining room, but do move it to the middle of the room when we all head up to bed, and move it back in the morning. So as for performance, this is after all, what most will compare. I will say that there has been a drop during the daytime hours of the dust levels (measure on my air monitor as (ug/m). It is a 5-10 point drop but why this matters is it seems that level kept going up each day before I used this unit - the other unit wasn't able to keep up with the dust levels. Same with the Chemicas/VOC's, which is measured in PPM. This has also dropped since using this unit. At night, when the dogs are upstairs and the unit can work at full speed, I've dropped about 20 points on the dust levels. This is significant because I've already been conditioning the air with multiple air cleaners around my house, including a HEPA filter on the heat pump that provides A/C and heat. If you don't believe in meters and measurements, I can tell you that the nose knows best, right? I can cook dinner and sometimes the cooking smells would linger into the next day, even with using a HEPA air purifier, which seemed odd, but happened. With this unit, with an hour or two, the air no longer smells like what I cooked for dinner. Seriously. And the dog smells are non-existent. Between these two things alone (dogs and dinner), the house should smell, but it doesn't smell like anything, it is just nicely cleaned and filtered air. The air quality monitor I have proves this is true, but my nose tells me for sure. And the fall allergy sufferers in my house have had relief sitting downstairs taking in this purified air. You'll find lots of good info in the literature that accompanies this unit. Most impressive is the certificate that shows you the actual report card for your specific unit - it isn't made up, they actually test and measure each units effectiveness before it leaves the factory and heads to your home. If you value clean air, if you need clean air, you need this unit. I plan to save to get the portable units they make for the car, which is really cool. And a portable for when I'm on travel. They make so many cool products that if they work half as good as this, they are worth it. Oh yes, I almost forgot, this comes with a 10 year warranty once you register it, and then it is supposed to be providing more clean air, quieter, and longer lasting filters than previous generations of this....I didn't have one of these before to know, but this is reassuring. Remember Best Buy's return policy. If you aren't happy, you can return it. But when you give it the "nose" test, you'll understand this unit is doing all it promises, and more. Cook that dinner and give it an hour, the smell is gone. That will assure you that not only does it get rid of that odor, it is scrubbing the air and making it a better environment for you to live in.

While I do not have an air quality monitor, I can say that after just 24 hours of running this machine, the air in my home feels and smells much fresher. Our home was previously owned by someone who smoked no less than 72 cigarettes a day and did so in the house. It has been a great challenge to get the house odor free despite scrubbing the walls and ceiling, replacing all of the flooring, cleaning air ducts, replacing HVAC, using 25 gallons of kilz on the walls and multiple coats of paint. Even after all of that there has been a lingering funk near our garage and this air cleaner has been the perfect solution. I ran it on fan speed 2 which is 75 CFM for 48 hours and this did wonders for us. The higher speeds do get a little noisier, but allow for faster air exchange. At 300 CFM noise level is equivalent to sitting next to a window AC blower without the high pitch. The only thing that would make it better is if it has smart home capabilities, but this is not a dealbreaker. Looking forward to having friends and family over to see how this helps mitigate their pet allergies as we also have 2 cats. As an added bonus this has helped diminish litterbox odors without creating anxiety for my cats!

One of the most best aspects of the IQAir HealthPro Plus is its noticeable impact on indoor air quality. As someone who monitors air quality daily, I can attest to the noticeable improvement by this device. I monitor AQI for my allergies, mainly dust, pollen, or pollutants; this air purifier excels in its mission, consistently producing air that feels fresher, purer, and healthier. Portability is a concern of mine with air purifiers, but the IQAir HealthPro Plus is not bad in terms of portability. Moving it from room to room is relatively effortless, thought it still has some weight to it. I’d say it’s better than most at this task. As for noise. At level 1 of 6, it’s whisper quiet. At 2-3, it’s noticeable, but certainly not bad. At this level, it’s still doing a lot of work. At 4-5, it’s noisy, and at 6, it does feel like you’re in an airport terminal. I’ve tested this on cooking smells, gas, and other air pollutants. It definitely cleans up a medium to large size room in under 15 minutes at higher levels. AQI scores drop as well when they are elevated in my tests. The remote control works well, and is helpful to get to the exact level, which is not possible on the device (device only lets you cycle through from 1-6). Overall, while it’s on the pricey side, it’s filtration is top notch and online searches would prove that. Through my non-scientific tests, the air quality improvement is quick and noticeable and exactly what I needed. Time will tell if it continues, though I’m sure with filter replacements, it’s life will extend indefinitely. Highly recommend for those in need with sensitive lungs!

A Real and Serious Air Purifier worth Six Stars

WOW! I have had air purifiers for my allergies of all types and sizes for over 5 decades. This air purifier, the IQAir – HealthPro Plus, claims to have received more top reviews and awards than any other air purifier. I believe this claim has great merit because I am in the height of my environmental allergy season, and even though my home has two other air purifiers and a central system attached to my HVAC unit, I have continued to sneeze throughout the days and nights until I installed this product three days ago. Now, the air is cleaner, lighter, purer, and after running the unit for a brief time, the air is completely void of any odors. Breathing without congestion is much easier in my home now because of the IQAir. I make this statement without a doubt. The technology for the IQAir – HealthPro Plus air purifier is simple, honest and certified. There are three filters stacked within the unit. Basically, the IQAir HyperHEPA filtration technology, being a dense network of nanofibers, is the filter that effectively traps particles of all sizes including viruses, pet dander, dust mites, etc. This makes a very big difference in this product and the products of its competitors. Where most air cleaners test for the largest 10% of particles, this product is tested and certified to filter 99.5% of all particles down to 0.003 microns, which are the smallest particles that exist. Swiss designed and engineered, this is one quality piece of equipment that does what it claims and proves it. It’s basically ready to go out of the box. The filters have been installed and only the power cord needs to be plugged into the base of the unit and into a 110v power outlet. Optional, is to attach the four casters to the base before setting the unit upright and this is extremely easy, quick and very useful afterwards because it allows the unit to be moved with much ease. Controls are also easy to set, and the unit comes with a remote. The menu on the display allows for setting the time of day, language, provides a timer which can be set for certain hours on certain days, a filter reset to help keep track of the use of each filter and its anticipated replacement time, and the fan speed. There is also a panel lock which can be overridden with the remote. The first and most important thing before you begin to use the air purifier is to determine the best location for the unit. It has a multi--directional air diffuser on top of the unit, so it is best to place it at least one (1) foot from a corner or wall. Considering where to put the unit might be based on the room most used by the family, which might possibly have an outside door or doors where environmental particles might be most common and need to frequently be handled. Also, it is important to know that each of the six speeds coincides with an air exchange rate measured in cfm. For instance, there are six speed and the air exchange rate that coincide to these 6 speeds are 40, 75, 140, 180, 220 and 330 cfms. With a simple calculation which involves knowing the l x w x h of your room and the cfm that corresponds to the speed of the fan that you have set, the air changes per hour can be calculated. For instance, if I have the air purifier set on speed 3 which delivers 140 cfms and my room is 14 x 13 x 9 foot ceilings, then I would take 140 x 60 (the number 60 being a given of the equation) and divide that number by the cubic feet or l x w x h of my room. In this example, that would be (140 x 60) 8400 divided by (14 x 13 x 9) 1638 cubic feet of room which equals 5.13 ACH of Air Changes Per Hour. The IQAir Health Pro Plus is 28” high x 15” wide x 16” deep. It is energy efficient and as I mentioned above, includes three filters. The PreMax Filter controls coarse and fine particles and has a life expectancy of 18 months when used 10 hours per day on speed 3. The V-5 Cell Filter controls a wide range of chemical contaminants and odors and has an average life of 2-years when the same usage of 10 hours per day on speed 3 is used. The HyperHEPA Filter controls fine and ultra-fine particles. It has an approximate life of four years when used at the same rate of the other two filters. The unit comes with a 1-year limited warranty, but if the owner registers the product within the first 30 days and uses the air purifier in a residential setting, then the warranty is extended to 10 years. The filters are easily accessible for changing and the whole unit has been designed for function and maximum performance. Some might consider the unit to be a little louder than they wish while running; but with all that it is doing for the air in your environment, your health, and providing a little “white noise” too, I don’t find it loud at all. I am really impressed with this product and have owned whole house air purifiers that never worked this well. I highly recommend it for your health and wellness. It is well worth the investment and deserves SIX Stars.

I've only had the the IQAir - HealthPro Plus Air Purifier for about a week, but so far it's working much better than any of the other air cleaners/purifiers I've had over the past few years. It's a very well built product, and for the most part, the design is well thought out. It's a bit larger than I expected, but then again it's packed with 3 filters and it can move quite a bit of air. It's still too early to know if the 3 different filters will last as long as they are supposed to, but if their lifespans aren't much shorter than what is projected, I think their replacement cost should be well worth it. There's really not much assembly to be done once you unbox the unit; you simply attach the power cord, and if you want to make the unit mobile, you have to attach 2 rails and 4 casters. I decided to install the casters so I could roll the purifier to different rooms, but even that took less than 5 minutes. I also checked see how hard filter replacement would be, and it's very simple; there are two locking arms (one infront and one in back) that unclip from the top and then swing away from the unit, and then the sections with whatever filter needs to be replaced can just be popped out and then popped back in once the new filter is installed... very easy! I've been using the product primarily in my living room, but I've also taken it into the bedroom a few times, but wherever the unit is located, the air is noticeably fresher. There are 6 fan speeds, but if you're going to be in the room, I doubt very seriously you'll be able to use purifier with the fan on anything past 3. I have been keeping the speed at 2 when we're watching TV and it's barely detectable, but on 3, it's definitely audible and the volume on the TV has to be turned up a bit. Of course speeds 4,5, and 6 are even louder, but I have used those when using the timer function when we're leaving the house for a while. The only real problem I've had with this product so far is the remote. The IR sensor on the unit is located on the top, and for some reason, I can't get the signal from the remote to bounce off my ceilings, walls, or windows... so I have to hold the remote up, so it's above the top of the unit, and then point the remote down at the unit. This isn't a huge problem, but for a product that costs as much as this does, I'm not sure why additional sensors weren't included on other areas of the purifier so the remote could be used more 'mindlessly'. Overall, I'm impressed with this product. Again, if the filters last as long as they're supposed to, the replacement costs should be well worth the increased air quality I've seen. The only issue I had was with the remote, but I wouldn't consider that a reason to not buy this unit if you're looking for a great air purifier.

A little pricey- BUT, we can all tell the difference. Oir entire house suffers with sinus issues and seasonal allergens- our sinus issues and headaces have all been reduced sine using this! We also love that its in wheels and can be moved from one area of the home to the other quute easily. On level 3 or 4 we can still watch tv without to much noise. Highest level 6, is a bit louder so we generally use that when we are not home.

WOW, is all I can say. I know this is EXPENSIVE, but there's a reason for this expense. I can't say enough about this product. I've had this for almost a year and I've only had to replace the prefilter once, a little pricey, but I run it A LOT and on its highest speed. I know this is a lot of money (and it was a splurge for me) but IT IS WORTH THE PRICE!!

This item should be my best purchase before the pandemic. Turns out everybody needs a home air purifier when the pandemic happened. This item was sold out . This performs so well to our home. Dissolved odor after you cooked for a meal.

It does everything it is supposed to do. My wife has allergies and already notices the difference.

I've had this over a month now and it has been working flawlessly. I keep it in the bedroom and have noticed I wake up in the mornings with less sinus congestion.

My wife bought this after growing concern for asbestos particles in the air of our home after I began a remodel in a room that had old vinyl tiles in it. Not only does this purifier offer hospital grade air filtration, but it makes the air in you home feel clean and fresh to breathe. We run it daily now and with six speeds, you really can't tell its even running most of the time. Pricey but worth it.

Quiet on lower speeds. Works great in my larger, older home. Love it.

I recently took receipt of my IQAIR HealthPro Plus 1125 Sq Ft Air Purifier. The unit, which is 28”H x 15”W x 16”D, weighs in at about 35 lbs. Setup was pretty uneventful. After connecting the four floor casters to the bottom of the unit, I went through the Menu system – an option on the Control Panel - and answered a series of question prompts. The Control Panel includes a Power Key, an Arrow Key for selecting different options, a Menu Key, and an Enter Key. The Control Panel also has LEDs - each corresponding to the filters inside the IQAir – where each LED displays a color representing the life of each filter. For example: - Green indicates that the particular filter is still within 80% of its estimated life - Orange indicates that the particular filter is approaching the last 20% of its estimated life - Red indicates that the particular filter has reached the end of its life - Red Blinking indicates that is past its end of life and should be replaced immediately The Control Panel also has a lockout feature to prevent tampering. This is accomplished by pressing the Menu and Enter key simultaneously for 3 seconds. Unlock the Control Panel in the same manner. Repeatedly pressing the Menu button scrolls you through a series of prompts. Among others, prompts include day of the week and time of day. If you want to use the timer, it prompts you for a start and stop time in which the unit will automatically run, as well as which days of the week it should run. We set it to turn on at 8pm each evening and to turn off at 8am each following morning. This happens seven days a week. It also prompts for a default fan speed for when the unit is in timer mode. We kept the default fan speed, which is 3. Fan speeds range from 1 to 6, with 1 being the slowest. At 1, the sound of the fan is barely noticeable. At 6, it’s much, much louder. Running the unit at night on level 3 proved perfect for us. A lot of people we know enjoy playing music or have sound-making machines in their bedrooms to help them fall asleep. For us, the background hum of the HealthPro Plus at level 3 accomplishes the same thing. The unit comes with three installed filters. They are: - At the bottom is the PreMax Filter. This removes most coarse and fine dust particules. This is rated for 5,386 hours. - In the middle is the V5-Cell. This retains a wide spectrum of gases and odors through adsorption and chemisorption processes. This is rated for 7,086 hrs. - At the top is the HyperHEPA filter. This is a tightly pleated high- efficiency particulate air filter. This is rated for 15, 186 hours. As stated in the manual, the relationship between the current fan speed and the remaining filter life is expressed as follows: The higher the current fan speed setting, the shorter the displayed remaining filter life. The HealthPro Plus comes equipped with a Remote Control. This is handy if you’re sitting or lying down and want to turn the unit on or off, to change the fan speed, or to turn the predefined timer on or off. The Control Panel – which is located on top of the unit – does have illumination that is visible at night. We were concerned about light intrusion into our bedroom, but in the end found that the light didn’t bother us at all while sleeping. We don’t have an air quality monitor at home to perform before and after comparisons to gauge how well the HealthPro Plus succeeds at reducing air particulates, so our observations are anecdotal. However, just walking into one of our rooms at home you can see particulates floating in the air and reflecting through the sunlight. Dust, cat hair – especially, and other particles like pollen are obvious and long-standing problems. I am regularly awakened at night with clogged sinuses and dry eyes. I have documented - and serious - dust and cat hair allergies. From the first night using this air filter, I found that my allergies were the best they’ve been in years. The automatic timer turns on the unit at 8pm – giving it a good time to run and filter particulates before we head to bed - and stays on throughout the night. As a long-term allergy sufferer, I feel comfortable attributing my improvement directly to this unit. The HealthPro Plus comes with a one-year limited warranty. For the original purchaser, filling out the warranty information within 30 days of purchase converts the warranty to a ten-year limited warranty. I’m quite pleased with this unit and think you will be too.
