It transition from hard wood to tile to carpet. It's a little noisey but can get drowned out as time goes by that is unnoticeable. It's definitely worth it because it cuts floor cleaning down and when you start it it goes everywhere (under couches, tables) and when it's tired it goes and dock.

I haven't used the Roomba that I purchased at our local Best Buy yet since it's technically a gift for my wife, but I've got friends who have this model and they love it. I've seen it in action and I'm excited to use it in our home after Christmas. We've got wood floors throughout our home and I'm sure this will significantly help to keep the floors clean from the dust and dirt that our three boys track through the house, along with all the pet hair from our two cats and from our dog. Roomba makes a phenomenal product and I'm sure this gift will be well received when my wife opens it on Christmas. I spent a lot of time looking into other makes and models, but Roomba seems to be the best right now. I've seen other models that some of our friends own and I wasn't as impressed as I have been with the Roomba's that I've seen in action. So this is exactly what I wanted to get for my wife (yes, I also got her jewelry and other gifts that are not related to cleaning, but I know she'll love this gift!). If you're looking for a good robotic vacuuming device, look no further than Roomba!

Received it about a week after I ordered charged it for about 2 hours I was amazed at how much it picked up . Just make sure your pick up socks and things like that because it will find it and try to eat it . I have all hardwood flooring.

This robot works well overall. It goes back to its station whenever its on low battery. When it gets stuck it calls for help. It works well on wooden floor and on carpets.

I'm impressed with how well it cleans. There is a significant amount of dog hair collected by it. I'm not impressed with it's ability to dock itself. It runs around all over the place aimlessly unless you hit "dock" about 10 feet or less and pointing straight at the docking station. Easier to pick up the machine and place it on the dock station. So I never run it when I'm not home because it will just run the battery out. It also confuses what it is supposed to do at times. If you press "clean" it may do "spot clean." This model does not have all the bells and whistles, so these are just probably bugs with the earlier model. But again it cleans well for what I spent on it.

Works great for me. I can not use a standup vacuum do to back pain. iRobot picks up hair, small food particles, dust etc... on carpet. Had to iRobot proof the room before starting to make sure no wires were hanging to catch on the iRobot. Still need to find a good place to put the docking station so it can easy find to recharge. For right now have under table, press CLEAN to get it going and I carry to docking station when done. Does such a good job that it got me to clean up under my bed so the iRobot can clean without me moving anything. Very happy with the product. I like that you do not need a smartphone use. OK with the scruff marks on the front of the iRobot caused when it cleans sometimes. Still getting use to using the iRobot. Called iRobot customer service with questions and they were very helpful.

This is my 3rd roomba in about 15 years. This one is much improved over the older models. It is not loud and does a great job. I live in Florida and my dogs constantly bring in sand from outside. Rooba is the only thing that can get it all off my hard floors. Most vacuums just blow it to another location and even when I sweep with a broom, there always seems to be a fine grit on the floor afterward. Roomba picks up the sand and doesn't leave the fine grit either. I was sweeping 3 times and day and now just running Rooma once a day does a better job than I was doing.

I have now bought 3 Roombas, the 3rd because my mom swiped my 2nd one. (haha) Sh wanted to see if my robot would work on her carper, so I took my newest one over, (a day old) and it just stayed there. She had me buy a new one for myself on her. I have a bad back, and huge dog who sheds out another small dog every day. and it is so easy to use my Roombas to keep my floors clean. I love them.

I was skeptical about the Robot. Not sure if it would do as great as a job as I had read. My wife LOVES it. After Harvey we moved to tile all around the house with area rugs. The robot moves with ease and lessens the amount of dirt. I have 5 kids and a dog so that is a lot of traffic. When I empty the filter bin it is full. She couldn’t be happier.

Seems to clean very well, but it gets bogged down in one room and has trouble getting into the next room. It seems to spend a great amount of time in the room with the base station. When it went into another room, it didn't finish that room before it came back into the room with the base station.

I have been looking for a robo vacuum for a while and the high price point was a deterrent. I got this one for under $300 and it works great. Have noticed it working perfectly fine on carpet as well as hardwood floors. however it is good for light loads only and am still observing the battery life - as of now works for an hour on 1 charge.

I love my new Roomba! I had intended to purchase the 690 model, but none were available. I think this one is great for small homes, but requires a little bit of guidance since it does not come with the virtual wall barriers. Easy to use and easy to clean.

I don’t have a pet so this is a close second. But seriously this is a great product so far. It’s easy to use and as long as you are careful with what you are vacuuming it’s gonna work fine. It’s perfect for everyday use and amazing to get under difficult areas like sofas and beds

Cleaner did a great job, but it cannot get in small spaces. It amazed me how it did cover the area and some of the places it was able to get to.

This robot vacuum is really good for everyday simple cleanup especially with having a cat in the house. I’m able to keep up with shedding hairs. It does get stuck sometimes & randomly shuts off without even being stuck. Other than that its great.

Super happy with my little Roomba. I have a dog at home which was the main reason for getting a robot vacuum and was a bit skeptical of it picking up the hair but it does great! It's not as high tech as some of the other ones so I have to be home to run it but that's fine with me. It gets the hair and the super fine dust plus it gets places that I wouldn't normally get to. It's not super noisy but watching TV with it in the room is something that I wouldn't recommend. It also doesn't like two of my rugs and gets stuck sometimes on those but I just pick them up before and it's good to go for 1.5 hours. Overall very happy!

After you get the hang of how Roomba operates (it's really simpler than using an old-school vacuum), you'll be able to keep the rooms in your house pretty dang clean. Roombas won't completely replace all vacuuming since they can't reach every single nook and cranny you might need to clean, but they'll definitely bring the time you spend on this part of your cleaning routine very close to zero. If you have dreamed about getting house cleaning services, but didn't think you could afford them, the Roomba is actually a really nice way to go to get some relief. At least your carpets can be taken care of for you at a relatively low, fixed cost. Stop browsing and buy one!

Great product cleans really well on both carpet & floors does get stuck on rigs if they have a hump. Would recommend. Bought for my 90 year old Mother.

Plug in. Charge. Clean at the push of a button. This is simple to use and effectively cleans our living areas - laminate and area rugs.

Would buy this product again. Louder than expected but does a good job on carpet and wood floors.
