    Love my Roomba, except when she's getting caught up in the electrical wires under my couch, running into the kitty's bowl, chewing up the fringe on my rugs and getting stuck on the ledge in front of my fireplace These little lighthouses electronically block her from areas she has no business going. You could block her with furniture and the vacuum cleaner hose, but that just looks trashy, so these are your best bet. $30 isn't too bad a price or a pair of them, but at this point, I'm using 5. (Two pairs and the one that came with the Roomba).

    Two come with the Roomba so unless you have tons of open spaces you may not need extras. Would be nice if you could tune them to a narrower beam. On large openings (double doorway size) the beam gets wide at the far end keeping Roomba 12" away, while at the other end it gets about 4". All in all useful and needed.
