I only put 3 stars because this one does not map out your house and doesn’t go by memory when vacuuming. It will stay in one room for 30 minutes and keep going over the same spots multiple times and by the time the battery needs recharging it has missed a few areas. Easy to empty the dirt bin and also has pretty good suction. I got this one because the associate said the rubber bristles on the vacuum are good for pet hair since I have 2 cats and 1 dog. I’ll probably be exchanging this one for the higher up model that does the WiFi mapping of your house so it won’t get stuck in one room

Like other iRobot Roomba's we own this one does a good job vacuuming the floor, getting under things; beds, tables, etc. This model is Wifi which is nice because it can be scheduled or started with it's App. This model doesn't take photos (as far as I know) for mapping like other, more advanced, models do so it less of a privacy concern.

Definitely a great tool to have when you have a lot of pet hair everywhere. The only con I've noticed is that it takes a while to reach the home base if the base is not in its direct line of vision

This works much, much better than our budget brand botvac that we had a couple years ago and i'm sure it'll last longer too. Being able to operate it form the phone is great because remotes are not easy to keep track of in my house. I like that the app tells me when the job is complete and I can easily set or change job times form the app without having to touch it. If you're in the market for a botvac get a Roomba. This one handles my Australian shepherds pet hair super well. I'm shocked how much I empty out of it daily. A more expensive one? I mean, I bought a $650 canister vacuum once but that wasn't for me with this item, which is meant to just make it so that I don't have to sweep or manually vacuum daily. If it really grosses you out to empty it or you have the means to get the nicer model then you know who you are and you know that's what you're going to do. I haven't had any issues with this one getting stuck on cords or anything. It doesn't clean in straight lines but goes at random looking for things. With how clean the floors are I don't care.

Decent machine. Does pick up dirt & pet hair okay. Is not consistent where it goes. Seems to have difficulty in mapping a room and does a lot of odd patterns and incomplete passes.

This Roomba as a vacuum is great BUT doesn’t get to all my rooms, only last 1 hour per charge and doesn’t find home base. Trying different home base location to see if this helps before I call customer support.

I love it. This is my first iRobot vacuum. Has strong suction. I noticed it cleaned better on my tiles floor than my carpet. The only con I have about it is it's too loud.

Millie is the latest addition to my home. I’ve been hesitant to buy this but my son highly recommended. I recently changed from carpet to hardwood because I have 4 dogs sometimes 5, 2 being golden retrievers. As you can imagine the dog hair can be overwhelming. Millie is great, she does the floors 2 twice a day scheduled and more often if there’s a need. There’s no rhyme nor reason to her pattern but she gets it done! Love that she fits under my bed. Her little dust bin holds a lot more than I would have thought. She transitions over the throw rugs nicely. I thought she’d freak out my dogs but they just ignore her. Millie is a great addition! You still have to do your corners and tight areas with your regular cleaning. I highly recommend!!!

The only minor complaints I have are about some of the features, specifically returning to the charger and route running, otherwise it does a phenomenal job and saves lots of time and effort!

Great for dog hair. I have a husky that sheds ALOT and the new brushes keep the hair from wrapping around them. Dust bin could be a little larger. Drops WIFI signal frequently.

I purchased the iRobot Roomba e5 in the hopes that I would have some extra help with keeping my floors clean. What I have found is that I have to go through and thoroughly clean my floors and then I can send the Roomba around to get all the leftover dust/debris. It does NOT replace me having to sweep and vacuum which is what I had hoped for however, it does seem to pick up a lot that I would otherwise miss. It also has a small canister that has to be cleaned out after every use and oftentimes mid-use. To be fair, we do have four children and two dogs who help contribute to the mess the Roomba and I work hard to keep clean. Overall, I’m satisfied with my Roomba and how helpful it has been.

So far we like it. Great little auto-vac. It's loud, but isn't every vacuum? Seems to have trouble getting back to its charger base when battery gets low.

I've kicked the idea of purchasing a robot vacuum around for a year. Every time I go to get one I think, "Why would I spend this money on something me or my kids can do?" However, I finally broke down and got one. I am so glad I did! This thing saves a lot of time. I have two large dogs and was needing to vacuum every day between their hair and tracking grass or leaves inside. That's just something I've done for years when I walk in from work....vacuum. Now as I'm getting ready to leave the office, I open the app and tell our "R2 Unit" to vacuum the entire house. By the time I get home he's finishing up and the place looks great. Instead of vacuuming I can help my sons practice soccer or baseball right away, start dinner, or do nothing! I have all ceramic tile floors and wood in the bedrooms - so I can't comment on how it performs on carpet. I have a large area rug in the living room that it does very well on though.

Love the product, very helpful and easy to use. Sometimes I see it has a hard time knowing it’s location and finding them way through the furniture. But I like it a lot.

This vacuum works well on either carpet or wood but doesn't do great going from one surface to the other. Also it tends to go to the same spot and takes forever to figure out how to get out.

It's ok, I guess. It seems like it moves aimlessly through my house, though it does a decent job picking up stuff off the ground. You will still have to vacuum for corners and other stuff to help the upkeep of your house, but this does an ok job help keep the house clean if used daily or at least every few days. This is my first experience with a device like this, so I was not sure what quite to expect. My wife and I were mixed on it/borderline ready to return it after a few days, but we have grown to accept it for it is, and as I said, it does an ok job.

We have a long haired dog and both a long and short haired cats which all shed a lot. We run the Roomba, which I've named Lost Puppy due to the random way it runs around the house every couple of days and it keeps things neat (yay, no more tumbling fur balls floating across the floor). It gets under all of the furniture we couldn't get a regular vacuum under. We still occasionally need to run our regular vacuum, but that is more for areas Lost Puppy can't get to and do the furniture surfaces. All-in-all it was a good purchase that has saved both frustration and time leaving time to do other things while it takes care of a majority of the vacuuming.

We have two shorthair dogs that shed like crazy, and this vacuum easily keeps up! It has been perfect for the day to day cleaning, and keeps our floors fresh. It’s been life changing! Also keeps us conscious about where cables are, as the vacuum will get them tangled up.

I have to say this is probably my all time favorite purchase from Best Buy! With two dogs (one a German shepherd), I was constantly sweeping or vacuuming. Roomba handles that for me now and does a better job!! I love how well it works and the “lines”” in my carpet every day. Working from home, I can pick up my phone and pause cleaning through the ap if needed. I can also restart it or start it while I’m away. Since it gets under beds also, I feel like my house is cleaner than it ever has been. Can’t say enough about how much I love Roomba!!

It started out working amazing. But here are the issues I've discovered; 1. Gets stuck a lot on items it doesn't sense (drives over my chair base and gets high centered). 2. Filter clogs after 1 to 2 uses. I have dogs and cats and this model should work well, but doesn't. 3. Very loud. 4. Front brush froze and stopped working. I had to remove it and reinstall and it started working again. All in all it is convenient, until it gets stuck multiple times or the filter clogs and it stops vacuuming.
