I own the 600 series and wanted to upgrade for the roller which does not retain hair as the older version. This model cleans better and is easier to clean too. I love it!

This works quite well and is fascinating to watch. It surprisingly does not bang into furniture/walls and will only gently tap into them. It maps out the room. Recommend getting the self cleaning dock for full benefit, as manually emptying the canister causes a bit of dust. The app is well designed and convenient. The vacuum will text you if it is stuck or there's a problem. We have a Dyson v11 animal cordless vacuum and this works just as well (except "boost" mode on the Dyson is more powerful). The Roomba takes longer than a manual vacuum with the Dyson but if you want to be indulgent, set and it and forget it, this will do the job.

While it needs a little learning, great to get over carpets and clean the area we need it to. I yell out to Alexa to have Roomba start Vacuuming and it does it. Fantastic.

For the price, I was kind of hoping for more, especially the ability to run in the dark like some other brands. It does a good job cleaning though, and the app is pretty good.

This vacuum lives up to everything it should do. It’s gets close to corners and really gets under cabinets and tables. It performs better than I ever thought it would.

I upgraded from the 980 & love it. I no longer have to put up sensors, I can manually select which rooms I need cleaned; & the squared model gets into corners better.

I purchased this vacuum about 2 months ago and after a few runs it started to act up. It would just stop in the middle of a cleaning job and that's it. After a call with a manufacturer, a replacement was suggested. I now have the replacement at home and after one successful run, the same exact issue occurs. The latest cal with iRobot suggested again a replacement. I am currently waiting for that replacement (item is on backorder).

This is an amazing top of the line robot vacuum that delivers. The D shape, along with the spinning brush allows the s9 to get tight into corners, along walls, and around furniture legs. The battery lasts for hours, and it has plenty of suction to pickup pet hair and dust off tile/wood floors, and thick carpet. The companion app is easy to navigate and use, and also makes the initial setup of the s9 very easy. In my opinion, at this price point, if you're willing to pay this much for a robot vacuum, I would highly recommend paying the extra couple hundred to get the automatic dirt disposal model because the bin is not that big and fills up quickly. Especially if you have pets that shed like I do (2 dogs and a cat). Things I like: Maneuvers around and under objects without getting stuck. Gets tight in corners and along the walls. The Android app is easy to use. Does a good job picking up pet hair. Cleans my carpet and tile floors very well. Quiet mode, and scheduling cleanings for specific rooms is really nice. Things I don't like: Small bin capacity, expensive. Side note: The customer service is top notch. Myana F. Was extremely helpful and very understanding of my issue. I was having an issue with the cloud connection within my house/home network, and required several emails and phone calls back and forth. They were very quick to reply to emails and call back. I was impressed with their customer service.

I didn’t believe in iRobot products. Until I decided to give it a chance. It made my life easier. Programming and care is extremely easy.

To get the house map created, it takes almost 3 to 4 hours. After that it does not clean the things properly. Just makes noise, keeps getting stuck and say that bumper is stuck. I bought it with a great hope thinking that latest one will have more suction power.

This thing is great. Sometimes when mapping thew house you have to do a couple of training runs other than that it excellent

I purchased this to replace a model 980 which lasted only three years. Fortunately I had a Best Buy replacement plan! The new model does a better job of getting into corners and seems to vacuum faster then the previous model I had. My only negative observation is the rotating brush in the front right corner seems to get bent up and worn out much faster than the S Series (round) models.

iRobot has made a great little bot that cleans great. Set-up and training was easy. I am very happy with the purchase.

We traded in our i7 to upgrade to the s9 assuming it would be even better and it was not at all. It bounces on thicker carpets and rugs, it pulls up runner rugs, it’s quite a bit louder, and the D shape of it makes it take much longer to navigate around furniture and other obstacles. I returned the s9 the very next day to get the i7 back again and we couldn’t be happier. Would not recommend at all.

Maps the areas to be vacuumed. Great on corners and never misses an open area. Multiple runs to insure job complete.

I had a older robot vacuum that was a different brand and considerably cheaper. It didn’t work well and turned me off robot vacuums for years. I thought I would give it another try so I did some research and was torn between this model and the shark. After running this vacuum one time I was so amazed I didn’t even open the shark. The level to which it cleans truly blows me away. There are very few spots it can’t get to. It’s not cheap but I think it’s worth it.

Cleans for me in the night when I m sleeping in peace and have no worries of cleaning floors in morning...

This vac has exceeded expectation. extremely powerful. Its amazing how much it picks up when floor appears clean!

Excellent robot. Clean everything and everywhere without any problems. Just sit and let her do the job.

It’s working great so far. It cleans better than the the 960 and s7+ that we have both owned.
