Customers are delighted by the BluStream Bluetooth Factory Radio Module for its easy setup, improved sound quality, and Bluetooth connectivity. They appreciate the convenience of hands-free calling and find that the price is reasonable. However, some users have concerns about the visibility of wires, lower audio volume compared to the radio or CD, and occasional static when the power and auxiliary are connected.

I bought this bluetooth device for myself and loved how it worked. After buying a car for my wife, since she did not want to spend extra to get a bluetooth enabled stereo, i went to buy her the same Isimple device for her car and she has loved it since.

I purchased my iSimple Bluestream Bluetooth device in frustration with my aftermarket in-dash Bluetooth stereo not providing satisfactory sound reproduction at the other end of my calls; the folks I was calling were complaining they just couldn't hear me. Rather than spend another $300-$500 to replace the stereo, I decided to look around. First, I picked up a common BT earpiece - we all know how terrible those are, and I hated having the thing stuck on my ear all the time while I was driving. I next chose an in-ear stereo BT ear bud device. This worked better (provided better sound), but it, too, had to stay stuck now in both ears while I drove. I started looking for other solutions. I came across the Bluestream while browsing my local Best Buy; the sales associate had previously purchased the same product, and highly recommended it. Minutes later I was in my car, plugging the device into the aux power port and the aux jack on my radio.
Wow! I finally had something that worked exactly the way I wanted it to - with excellent sound reproduction on both ends of my calls. I was very pleased with my purchase.
Of course, once you buy something like this - and live with if for a while - one learns the drawbacks of it; and this device does have drawbacks. First, with the length of the cabling, there appears on your dash a lot of wire. It just falls all over everywhere. I finally decided to dedicate some time to re-routing the wire, and hiding it behind my dash bezel (2002 Tahoe). After about 30 minutes I was able to get all the wires discretely hidden, and was happy again. Second, and this is the biggest problem I've discovered; the device is incredibly sensitive to interference from the vehicle's engine and it's electrical system. This appears in the presence of static - but only when the device is not actually handling a call; it's only annoying when it's idle. I was able to reduce this effect somewhat by going to Radio Shack and purchasing a pair of radio interference filters that snap around the cable from the aux plug to the microphone/controller. These didn't completely remove the static, however, they did significantly reduce it. I'm not sure I can make it all go away without making serious modification to my vehicle's ignition system. Finally, and this is just a function of how this device works, the stereo must be set to the aux function to operate. This makes it difficult to switch from radio or cd - or for that matter XM, USB, or other aux input devices, back to the Bluestream.
These drawbacks are minimal, considering the utility and performance the Bluestream device provides. It works perfectly, every time I use it; that is so much more than I ever had with any of the other options I tried. Simply because of this, I am very satisfied.
Some other reviews I've read have indicated difficulty with the device automatically pairing to the host cell phone when the user gets in the car. I have found that it will not pair automatically, however, all I have to do is touch the button on the mic/controller once, and it pairs within five seconds. I find that to be a simple inconvenience. Especially since I would need to touch that button to make a call anyway. Even other reviews have voiced complaints that it is difficult to make a call by voice through the device. I have an iPhone, and all I have to do - once the phone is paired - is to touch the button and wait for the Siri sound to come through the vehicle speakers. Once that tone sounds, the mic will pick up the "call . . . ." instruction and the call is placed. I've not had any difficulty with this function.
Do I recommend this device? Yes, unreservedly!

We sold our 2011 Jeep Wrangler for a 2012 but the 2012 didn't have hands free Bluetooth, which made my wife not want it. I talked her into it on the condition that we would get her Bluetooth. I found this and she is satisfied. Super easy to install, sounds great and a good price. Because of this we have a much nicer jeep!! If you have an aux port, you can have Bluetooth. Get it.

This was a great purchase for me considering that my factory radio had no Bluetooth connections. The only downside was that it has too many wires that are too long to be of any real convenience or necessity, it would've been a lot better had the connections been better placed for a compact cockpit

Since the law passed in ga requiring cell phones to be hands free I needed this for my older car that didn’t have Bluetooth . I have an audio in port so this plugs into the port and one end in the power outlet. Mounted the button on my console. Just turn the phone on , push the Bluetooth button and it connects and plays thru the car speakers. Was very easy to setup and connect. Works perfectly . Love it!

I normally don’t write reviews, but I had to write about this. I love this product. I bought this to use in my Honda Odyssey. The sound is great, I hooked everything up in less than 5 minutes, and the price is reasonable. If I have my Bluetooth on my phone on, it automatically connects when I enter my vehicle. Long story short, you can’t go wrong with this device.

It's a great product for the price and for what it's meant to do. It's a plug and play type product, no installation required so you will have some wires visible. But once you figure out how to hide them or learn to live with them, it works great. If you rent a car that doesn't have Bluetooth or it's a company vehicle or just any scenario where you don't plan on changing the vehicle's stereo but you want Bluetooth, this is perfect. The mic works great. It may sound like you have the person on the other line on speaker but you won't have to yell everything, you can talk in your normal voice. Everything else, calls and music sound great.

I hooked up my iSimple in my truck for safer driving and to provide more hands free driving. The head unit I have in my vehicle is a circa 2002 Alpine CD player (the one where the whole face flips down so you can insert a CD).
I had already extended the RCA jacks for AUX out to the proper connector for the iSimple so it was just a matter of placement of the remote mic and the button on the dash. Once everything was installed I plugged a 6" rockfish lightening cable in my iPhone 6+ and in the USB port provided my iSimple to keep the phone charged. Paired the iPhone with iSimple (no issues). Ensure volume on the iPhone was all the way up, selected AUX on the Alpine and the audio was crisp and clear and good enough for driving.
A couple of days later I received a phone call while driving, the audio of what I was playing from my iPhone paused and I heard the ringtone for the caller. Answered the call and at the end of the conversation I asked how did I sound because this was the first time I got to test the hands free. The response was It sounded like I had the caller on speaker phone. Not bad for driving down the freeway at highway speed in a 2001 Dakota Pickup.
"Hey Siri" commands work perfect when no music is generated from the iPhone as well as when pressing the button iSimple when music is being played to issue Siri a command.
I am pleased with my purchase and am enjoying hands free operation of my phone and gained my phones mapping function telling me where to go when I am not sure. :)

Nice little toy if your looking to add Bluetooth to your car. It's not bulky and it's super easy to install. I bought one for my 2011 crv and decided it was worth it to buy one for my 1996 jeep. I could switch it between cars, but even though it's really easy, I just don't want to bothered. Plus I'll forget to ditch it back lol. All its needs is a power point and aux plug. Music plays nicely though it and the call quality is good. People say I sound a little low, but they have no problem hearing me. Just make sure you put the mic close to you, I would say no more the a foot away. You can only connect one device at at time, but for me that's perfectly fine.

It was very easy to connect this kit to my stereo. My phone paired very easily. I am getting much better sound quality through Bluetooth than through a wired connection to the 3.5 input jack. Great value for the money.

Positives:
Works as it should. Pretty straight forward design. Plugs into the aux in your stereo, but also has to plug into a 12v hole for power.
The 12v plug has a USB port , so it doesn't interfere if you have a USB charger.
Negatives:
Pretty chintzy design. Seems as though it was produced for about 5 bucks, and it sells for 40.
Cord on both plug end and aux end are waaaaay longer than needed. I kept the bread tie on the cord.
Summary:
All in all, it does the trick. The other option was buy and install a whole new Bluetooth capable stereo for 200 bucks.

Overall works (although I have not tried hands-free operation). The sound is great but the Bluetooth doesn't always connect right away. I'm not sure if it drains the car battery if you leave it plugged in (which is the only way the Bluetooth connects quickly). Some car power ports are "on" whenever something is plugged in,if so then you are plugging in and out with each use. If not some cars require nothing plugged into the outlet until 15 seconds after car starts to avoid interference with car sensors so you must still plugin and out each time. The convenience is lost if it can't remain plugged in and really an aux cord is faster for music if you don't want to fiddle when driving errands.

I love the hands free option on this as I travel a lot. But I hate that there are so many wires. I'm purchasing this again because my first purchase of this product was damaged due to me and my plenty bags I carry. What happened was a wire got trapped between several bags and was ripped from its base and stripped completely. I cried and can up with a solution to my problem. I do believe if I break this one I will spend the 200.00 or more for the completely wireless option. I love being able to listen to music and make calls and schedule various appointments. When Siri feels like it. A great buy but be careful with wires they are flimsy and tear very easily.

This product is pretty decent for hands free answering. No big installation, You just pair it with your phones Bluetooth and set your radio to aux. sound quality is very good on both ends and price is decent. The only thing that isn't great is having to set your radio to aux as opposed to being able to listen to your radio's music and have the device kick off the music when you get a call. But if you're in need of hands free in your car and don't want to pay big bucks to have Bluetooth installed in your car, this is for you.

Bought this for the wife's car to keep her off the phone while driving. Only took about 20 minutes to install and test. Called my daughter when finished and she could not believe the sound quality of the unit. My wife uses it constantly and loves it. Would have rated it a 5, but like other reviews, the wiring provided with the kit was way to long for our application. Took some time to conceal the wiring. A great Bluetooth option and a whole lot cheaper than replacing a perfectly fine stereo.

I own a 2008 Pontiac G8 and eventually I would like to install a Kenwood 6.2" touchscreen radio. This little Bluetooth plugs right in and easy to setup. Phone connects almost instantly when I start my car. Only problems I've had with it is sometimes the volume will cut in and out and ONCE the whole thing was playing weird. It would cut in and out and then switch to the left or right side of the car. I've had it for about a year though and would definitely recommend it to a friend.
