Before I bought these speakers, I had some that were completely wireless. That's what I was looking for again, so I was disappointed that the speakers have to be plugged into a socket. However, they produce a great sound. Not only is the sound great, it has many great features: plays iPods and iPhones, CD player, radio, alarm clock, USB ports, SD slots. You can play music from almost any device. I'm still learning more about it, but I'm sure with the right wires, you can hook it to a television for some surround sound. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. One other thing I don't like is that you have to be near the base to use the remote.

All speakers require current to make sound. If you remove the speaker wire, and make it 'wireless', the speakers require power either from a battery or a power cable. Keep in mind whereever you plan on putting the speakers, you will need a power outlet near it. Sound quality is poor, but the audio source is already from an ipod, with has terribly compressed and poor quality audio anyways, so its not that important. Otherwise its easy to use, plays cd's, AM & FM tuner, and has an auxilary input. Not bad for 150 dollars.

This little stereo does it all! We were skeptical at first with the wireless speakers, but they have a pretty good sound believe it or not. Could be a little better, but still not bad. We love how you can use just about any audio source with this stereo....I made a play list on an SD card and when we have company or just want random music we plug it in! It also plays music from my Droid with the USB port! It's an awesome stereo for the price and the look of it people LOVE! They're amazed when they find out the speakers are wireless! I've had SEVERAL people ask me where I bought it because they want one too! It's deinitely a good deal for the $$!! No problems as of yet and we've had it for well over a month and use it almost daily! We can't wait to get an extra pair of speakers to use outside this summer!

Being a older (54) i-pod user this was a excellent choice for me. The easy set-up was great, with extra speakers the whole house sounds great

Purchased original unit with two speakers. One week later I purchased two extra speakers. Very pleased with the fact that I can easily move speakers around in the house, or even outside when I am working in the yard to listen to music. Also like the fact that it has many music inputs.
