I’m using It while working at home with a laptop provided by my company and using my personal laptop which Both have limited portals. I’m now able to link a mouse, keyboard and television monitor as well as plugging into the internet directly.

It works great for me since I can connect the ethernet cable, mouse, keyboard and a external DVD to my computer.

Ubuntu, Mint and Raspbian see them immediately and require no kernel module downloads or configuration. Oldest kernel I have run these on is 4.19.66 so anything newer that than should be a breeze to use these with. I have over a half dozen in production and so far no problems.

Great way to consolidate ports

Instead of using one of the thunderbolt ports for an ethernet dongle, this combines ethernet and USB together and frees the thunderbolt port for a monitor. No noticeable impact to ethernet thruput.

Wanted to leave my pc hardlined to my router, and needed a second ethernet connection for tpcast VR wireless headset, so this device achieved just that by using a USB port instead. Now I have the best of both worlds!

USB to Ethernet Link speed 1000/1000 (Mbps) Confirmed that Flash drives 2.0/3.0 works as expected. I have not tried using a harddrive USB2.0 but I assume a power adapter for the J5 Port will be needed. The only fault I give it was the cable on the J5 Create was very very short for my needs. I will NOW need to get a longer USB AtoA cable in order for the J5 to lay flat. Its just hanging from behind my desktop.

Next best thing to a dock, although I could have chosen the Thunderbolt to USB Option this was worth the price point with the fact that I have more USB devices than Thunderbolt.

Can handle keyboard & mouse as well. Only thing is they don't include a 5Volt supply to power. Luckily I had one that fit from another product..
