At first glance this looks like an elegant, and expensive, monitor stand. It is beautiful, and well made. If you have one of the MacBooks, it is a great docking station in my experience. By using the USBC power input, I was able to power this and use it as a docking station for my M1 MacBook Air. By disconnecting only one plug from my MacBook Air, I can go portable, and as soon as I plug it back in, I'm in desktop mode with an external monitor, Apple Keyboard, a Logitech USB mouse, a printer, and even cables to charge my iPhone and Apple Watch. I can have an external Hard Drive plugged into this for Time Machine Backups. I can plug a USB thumb drive into this as well. The savings on dongles and other accessories made this a good value for me. Dongles and adapters for Apple products are expensive, and by buying this, I didn't have to spend the money on them. My desktop looks great with my natural wood desk, and the MacBook stand I purchased. The best part is how quickly I can go from laptop mode to desktop mode.

I really like the product. I purchased it when I started working from home due to COVID-19. I needed something sleek and modern to elevate my laptop for video conferencing, to free up desk space, and that had outlets. This delivered on all those needs. It was easy to assemble (6 screws). The wood platform is thick and heavy and the aluminum is sturdy and seamlessly attached to the platform. The USB hub has all I need for my desk and I am able to fit multiple items under the shelf (books, headphones, etc.). I highly recommend this product.

I wish side ports didn't make the desk look messy. I would rate this 10 stars if there was an enclosure that hid all the cables. I had to purchase a SUB hub to plug my tablets, phone, watch, and Airpods and placed it behind the monitor stand to avoid seeing ugly cables. I was not happy about that added expense to get a super clean-looking desk. Aside from the beautiful look, I love the ports on the inner side of the stand, and that I can easily fit two laptops, a keyboard, a mouse, and my earphones when not in use.

Easy to setup, took less than 5 minutes. Works as described, really happy with this setup, clean and simple with my MacBook Air. Looks to be made of good quality also.

This monitor stand works great with my 34 in curved monitor I also got from bestbuy.... love having the hookups on the side to plug in my phone, watch and earbuds or what ever else I need to hook up with a usb connection

When I saw this on display I instantly wanted one. Got it home, assembled it (it is stout without the associated thickness), and started connecting devices. Everything worked well to start, so I assumed I had a winner. Later that same day I started having devices fall off (lose connection). I run an 2020 HP X360 Spectre that has a 65w power supply, so I'm suspect of either and over or under voltage situation. I believe if the hub had it's own power my problems would be resolved. If your desire is to raise your monitor, there are other less elegant and expensive solutions. If you need it primarily as a hub, build your own raised platform out of 12" x 5/8th's hardwood, and buy a standalone dock. I bought the Media Pro 90W version with its own power brick, and it is performing flawlessly.

Outstanding monitor stand and connectivity solution. Beautifully design, plenty of extra ports, to serve as a connectivity hub, including USB-C to HDMI. The monitor stand is also very sturdy bandwidth plenty of storage space underneath and on top. Considering everything, the price is very reasonable. Overall, highly recommended!

The simple design of this dock/stand makes it a great addition to my desk, and the assembly was fairly simple. I was initially just looking for USB-C docks that I could plug into my laptop when I was at my desk, then I discovered this. It has all the ports I need, without the ports I don't. So many docks had things like Ethernet or 3.5mm which just wasted space. This has an HDMI port which works perfectly with my 4K display, five USB Type A ports, a USB Type C port, as well as 100W USB PD. So when I sit down at my desk, by plugging one cable into my laptop, I've got my keyboard, mouse, microphone, headset, webcam, and monitor all connected instantly, as well as the USB C port which I use to charge/connect my phone! Seriously good stuff, and cheaper than just the docks which had few USB ports on them, or multiple HDMI ports instead of more USB. This is fantastic.

The assembly was very simple and easy to do. I like the look of the wood and aluminum. I use this monitor stand for my 34" monitor and laptop setup. I like that I am able to put my laptop underneath my stand, it saves a lot of space on my desk. The docking station helps with cable management. and makes my set up look less messy. I wanted use a monitor, keyboard/mouse combo and wired ethernet with my new ultrathin notebook. Only connections were usb, usb-c and hdmi. This stand did the job. Plugged the USB C power to into it, connected it to my laptop with the included USB-c and it was done. I added a USB-to-RJ45 adapter to connect to ether. Monitor is connected via USB-C and keyboard/mouse via USB. I only have to plug/unplug one USB-C cable to use my laptop. Very convenient!!! It also looks great, was simple to assemble and provides several ports for adding other devices.

Because of the push to work from home, I needed a monitor stand and this was perfect. Helps you organize your space and using the ports to charge my devices instead of having all these plugs was a big plus. It's a little pricy but still a good buy.

Highly recommended, both for the design AND the hub (so far, unlike some reviews that bash the hub). This will be the longest product review I've ever written, just because I'm so pleased with this product. Design This is simply a classic look. It's genuine wood, not laminate, and the aluminum is precision cut with that nice matte silver finish. It fits into my office theme perfectly, even though my laptop is space grey. You can choose either the left or right side to mount the hub, as both sides have openings and screw holes, (handy!) I do wish the hub were split into 2 somehow; as with the 1 hub design, you have 5 ports on the outside and 4 ports on the inside (under the riser). The opposite side hub portal just stays empty. That is just a personal preference however, because I can also see how the inside (under riser) ports keep things a little more tidy overall. Hub Prior to finding this gem, I had ALL 4 of the USB-C ports on my 2019 MBP used up when at my desk, and my laptop sat off to the side of my monitor so I could use both screens. I didn't really even use the laptop screen much because it was out of general view when working. Sometimes I'd pop my mail open, etc, but it was underused at best. Now my laptop screen sits below my external, and they play so much more nicely together. The ports had adapters for each of the usual suspects (USB, HDMI, passthrough USB-C, power). Now I have 2 connections, one for the hub and one for a Thunderbolt device. Everything seems to work perfectly (for now, several reviews where the ports fail over time? Hoping for the best), including charging iPhone XSmax and iPad Air. Much, much cleaner setup and easy cable management.

Great concept and well built, I do think it is a bit pricey though. However it is well designed and a great help in keeping the desk organized. Make sure you read the labels on the ports, when I first assembled it, I did not notice the there is a specific USBC port for power in and host computer, so nothing worked. Once I noticed that and made corrections, it fired right up and works well.

Really easy to set up. Dock works flawlessly. The only downside is having to buy a power supply.

This is a sturdy monitor stand and provides great convenience with the attached ports. I am experiencing some buzzing though from the USB-C port when charging certain devices. I might have to make a warranty claim if the port fails. Overall though I like this product and I would recommend it if you are thinking about buying it.

Really sleek and fully functional Monitor Stand. Very very easy to assemble and is solid quality. There is no power source included so be sure to have a good one handy. Preferably at least it can output 18 watts.

I have a dongle (also from j5Create) that does everything but lift my monitor for half the price. Is it worth the extra $100 for the ability to lift my screen or laptop off the desk? Probably not but it does look good doing it. Easy to set up and it does power most of my peripherals so long as my laptop charger is plugged into the power port. It matches the finish on my imac and powerbook. If you need a docking station for your mac or other laptop, it is functionally good to go. But if you are tired of having to buy multiple dongles to make your portable computer do the job of a desktop, this is the dongle to buy.

On a search for a solid solution to connect multiple peripherals to an ultrabook with only two thunderbolt ports and one USB, this monitor may have solved my problems. My microphone, webcam, and keyboard operate fine and it is a very stylish stand that I can place a second monitor. For me, I am losing speed having a thunderbolt connected to a type C connection but I will manage. I did have an issue with the HDMI port on the stand and trying to connect that extra monitor to my laptop. I eventually had to purchase a type C to HDMI converter to solve this issue. Not a deal-breaker but disappointing.

This monitor stand took minutes to assemble, is of high quality, and has the bonus of an integrated docking station. I do wish the included type c cable was a little bit longer.

It's a decent Monitor/Laptop Stand, very sturdy with some useful docking connections on the side panel even has an HDMI Hook up as well, so its ok, my only Gripe about it, is that its a bit Expensive for a stand with a few connection. Other then the price, its very well made.
