Customers often highlight the Elite 85t's exceptional sound quality, describing it as excellent, rich, and clear. They also appreciate the earbuds' comfort, with many users praising their adjustable sound settings and extended comfort even during prolonged use. The long battery life, lasting up to 8 hours on a single charge, is another frequently mentioned advantage. While some users find the fit to be an issue, many are pleased with the Elite 85t's overall performance and features.

Jabra Elite Active 75T is the pick of the lot

I have actually used the 65T, 75T, 75T Active (75T-A)and 85T during the last year so my review is based on actual experience. I purchased the 65T in Oct, 2019 only to find that the 75T was round the corner. I ended up purchasing the 75T and after using it for a week along with the 65T, I returned the 65T because the 75T was superior in almost every way. Fast forward to June, 2020 and I ended up losing the 75T. I waited for a few months and then purchased the 75T Active only to find, yet again, that the 85T is round the corner :). I purchased it from Best Buy who have it in stock ahead of Amazon and I have been using both for the last several days. My conclusion: I will be returning the 85T and holding on to the 75T-A. Why? Read on...
1. Size and fit: The 85T is larger and somehow it never seems to fit snugly in my ear. No such problem with the 75T-A. I never get the confidence that the 85T will stay securely lodged in my ear. Jabra has changed the ear piece from round to oval and it might work better for some, but not for me. the 85T feels just as comfortable as the 75T-A but I don't want to have to worry that it might fall off, particularly when I'm running or riding my bike. Winner: 75T-A
2. Case: The 85T case is visibly larger and smooth. I however, like the grippy feel of the 75T-A case. I find it easier to remove the earbud from the 75T-A case and the magnets in the case also seem stronger. This, combined with the grippy feel of the case and earbuds, reduces the probability of dropping the ear bud while removing it from the case. Ditto for when I have put the buds back into the case. The 75T-A buds seem to 'snap' into place more reassuringly then the 85T buds. The 85T earbuds sit deeper in the case, so need to be gripped firmly while removing them from the case. A non-slip coating would've definitely helped. Note: I have purchased the wireless charging version of the 75T-A case. Winner: 75T-A
3. Sound: This is naturally subjective, but for me the winner is 75T-A hands down. There is greater clarity and more bass, but not overwhelmingly so. All the 4 headsets sound different and I like the 75T-A the most. I was disappointed with the 85T. Music sounded rather 'subdued' no matter how I much I adjusted the settings in the app. Winner: 75T-A
4. ANC: This is supposed to be the highlight of the 85T and it works quite nicely. However with the recent update along with the tight seal in the ear, the 75T-A more than holds its own and I am unable to find a lot of difference. It is not possible to adjust the ANC level in the 75T-A (unlike the 85T) but I don't think that this is a big enough drawback to spend the extra $$ for the 85T. Winner: Draw
5. Wireless connection: The 85T connects connects more quickly with my iPhone 6S compared to the 75T-A. It is connected and ready for use by the time I have it secured in my ear, while the 75T-A is still connecting by the time the earbud is in ready in my ear. Winner: 85T
6. Active use: I use the earbud in one ear while riding my bike. I ride long distances and sweat quite a bit, so the 75T-A definitely has the edge here. Winner: 75T-A
7. Phone calls: I found no discernible difference in performance. Both perform satisfactorily. I recommend checking YouTube for more detailed analysis of the same. Winner: Draw
Based on all of the above, and the discounts available for the 75T-A, I am unable to justify the nearly $80 difference between the 75T-A and the 85T. If the 85T had sounded better, I might have been tempted but that's not the case. I think Jabra will improve it via firmware updates but I am surprised that they decided to mess with the outstanding sound delivered by the 75T-A.

I'm writing this review after using these daily for about two weeks. And while I was a little disappointed at first, I've really come to enjoy these little guys.
From the outset, the biggest concern I saw was the sound quality. While mids and highs were pretty clear, bass packed a punch. However, after a couple weeks of burn in, changing the tips to the next larger size, and tweaking the in-app EQ, these really sound fantastic. Currently listening to The Strokes "The New Abnormal" which I find to be a good demonstration of the buds range and abilities. This album sounds fantastic with these.
Functionality is quite nice. Sometimes I like that they have real buttons on the side, sometimes I don't. Overall it works well, but sometimes I find myself really pushing it with effort and is uncomfortable in my ears. Truly a small complaint though.
The build quality of the charging case could be more premium for the cost of the buds...buy that's being nitpicky.
Dual connection between my iPhone and my windows PC works almost flawlessly and is a game changer for work flow. Listening to music from one source, hopping on a call on my phone, it all transfers pretty smoothly.
There are some little nuances that annoy me from time to time - clicks and sounds when removing one bud and sometimes falling out while chewing are easy enough for me to overlook.
ANC works surprisingly well. Truly impressed because my expectations weren't that high. I have Sony WXM3's for reference on ANC, and while it can't reach quite that level of ANC, it's still quite impressive.
Battery life rocks. I've gotten an easy 5 hours with ANC, and 6 something without, so it seems like Jabra was spot on with their estimate.
In the end, the little things can be overlooked and probably addressed mostly through firmware updates. Solid 4.4/5.

Over the past few years, I have read about Jabra and been impressed with reviews of the Elite 75t earbuds. I was very curious to try these out myself.
I was quickly impressed by how solid these felt. The materials that the buds and case are made from feel of a higher quality than all its competitors.
Setup was typical of just about all other earbuds: download app, connect via Bluetooth, update firmware, and explore customizable options. However, I was impressed that Jabra’s app performed a hearing test to make sure I got the most out of my listening experience.
The only minor flaw I discovered while testing these was that during a vigorous workout while moving my head, the buds became loose and fell out. I should note that I was intentionally trying to see what it took to get them to fall out.
Pros
Sound from both buds during phone calls
Music pauses if bud is removed
Adjustable active noise cancelation
Adapts to listener's hearing acuity
Cons
Does not stay in ears as well as earbuds with wings
I would highly recommend these. The build, sound, and features are top-notch and have become my new favorite buds.

Coming from the 75t’s I can say these are a good upgrade. Sound quality is amazing and the anc is on par with the ear pod pros. But the bass isn’t stupid strong anymore which I miss because I’m a bass head. They don’t feel like putting ear plugs in your ear they feel like AirPod pros but better sounding. And the ability to charge the case wirelessly is a plus.

Amazing sound, however this is my third jabra pair. I had the 75s for a while and the left ear bud went out on me. I purchased the 85ts hoping for a longer life span and have had to replace then due to the same left ear issue. Negatives aside. These earbuds, are amazing, the software is just enough to pass in my book and the main selling point for me was the noise cancelation, phenomenal, legitimately changed my view on sound cancelation. The battery life is very respectable, I tend to get just over 6 and a half hours of constant use before needing to recharge, and the case charges the buds very quickly. The case also supports wireless qi charging, adding to the convenience, I am able to charge from the back of my phone without issues. The side buttons are very customizable and functional. Also I have had 0 issues working out in these, sweat and rain have been no issue, additionally the ears fit well in my ears (your mileage may vary) but they have never fallen out of my ears while working and running. The audio passthrough feature is also very useable and clear. Overall, I am very pleased with these earbuds and dont plan on upgrading them for a very long time (assuming the earbuds dont break again).

Comparison of Jabra 85t and Bose QC Earbuds

Context: I've owned the Elite 65ts for 18 months and, in horse race fashion, the Bose QC buds for the last 2 weeks. Overall, I'd characterize these as "very good", though I am still undecided on what to keep and what to return. Breaking it down, on the 4 dimensions what matter most to me...
Sound: The 85ts do not have the expansive sound stage of the Bose QCs, but they do have a very capable equalizer feature that allows me to contour the sound to my tastes. For recent music produced to modern standards (typically more bass and top-end), the Bose contour works fine and the QCs are the clear winner; rich, expansive, perhaps "grand". For deeper catalog, older music with a very flat contour, the 85ts (with equalizer tuning) are notably better; the Bose can get muddy and there is nothing you can do about it. Existing reviews for both products notwithstanding, I call it a wash. Bose can change the game by adding a simple equalizer function
Noise Cancellation: This is my first experience with NC, so my expectations are modest. Comparing the two, the Bose QCs are maybe 15-20% better at cancelling the rest of the world, but I don't think that difference will be noticeable in everyday use. Fact is they both do a great job of isolating music from environment (at least in my usage), and I am thrilled with both.
Form-Factor: The 85ts are smaller, both the buds themselves and the case. Feel like the build quality, again case & buds, is comparable. I wasn't inherently put off by the size of the Bose, but the wings on the ear tips didn't add the stability and grab I expected. All told, I like the packaging of the 85ts by a significant measure. Small, and it just works for me
Comfort: Both are more comfortable than my old 65ts, but the 85ts are 1-2 ticks better than the Bose. After a bit, I forget then 85ts are there, but there is enough pressure from the Bose to always know they are there. For both, they feel very secure in my left ear and somewhat secure in my right ear (but not loose enough to go one up on ear tips size). I don't use buds in an active circumstance, so it's a toss-up on security of fit
Ultimately, I'll decide based on sound, and that's where the mix of results/observations will make it hard. The Bose sound stage is fantastic, the 85ts a little less so, but the ability to contour the sound through an equalizer is important to me. Maybe I'll keep both :-)

Excellent pair of earbuds, the sound is pretty good, connectivity is great, they are small and the case fits well in my pocket. Unfortunately I have had some issues with these earbuds. The tracking feature is practically useless, it only shows where the earbuds were last connected.,. Sometimes. Another problem is over time, they don’t sit in the case properly which resulted in them failing to turn off and charge. I’ve had 3 pairs of Jabras and this happened to all 3. I do think these are great earbuds but it’s sad that these negative features will bring down my rating.

I’ve had multiple Jabba earbuds and they keep getting better. I use these to work from home. They are very comfortable with great sound and microphone picks up my voice for calls but not outside noise. Only negative is that over time the battery life drops to about 4 hours before having to charge but that isn’t a huge concern because I’ll charge them over lunch

TLDR : The earbuds are great for what you are paying for which is around almost 200$ including tax for IOS and android. If you are an IOS user I would recommend you shell out a little bit more for airpods pros since it's often found for 200$ (excluding tax). If you are an android user then you will have no problem using these earbuds. I have to make it clear that these earbuds work perfectly fine with IOS and android, you can also customize its sound through its app as well. If you wanna save some money the 75t is a good option, from my research it seems that the ANC between 85t and 75t is marginal.
Background : My experience with audio is sennheiser HD600, HD5xx, sony wh-1000x-m2, sony wh-1000x-m1, powerbeats pro, beats studio wireless, audio technica m50x, airpods, airpods pros, and more that I cannot recall. Been an IOS user for 7 years and currently using Zfold 2.
Size : It does come with different sized eartips and my recommendation is to just try everything out for long periods of time and see what is comfortable for you. I cannot speak for everyone ear size but stock works perfectly for me.
Sound Quality : I will not be getting into the nitty gritty details but I personally believe that most consumers will not notice the difference between most truly wireless earbuds unless it is compared against headphones. If it's too bassy or its missing bass just get the app (like most other earbuds) and increase or decrease the bass.
Build Quality : Nothing more to say really than its just plastic. Most earbuds are made of plastic anyways. It does have some water resistance but it's not recommended for showering, for swimming, and etc. Some do consider using earbuds for showering and it's not recommended for any earbuds with any type of resistance. I will say that the case has a nice plastic feel that I do not know how to explain. It's not as slippery as the airpods and the airpods pros if that's a concern. It does not stick out of your ear and you can tell by the images.
Battery : For my personal use case it is enough to last a whole day including the charging case. I do play music at very high volumes and individual earbuds will last me around 3-4hrs because I am always nearly maxing it out with something consistently playing.
Features : Wireless charging case, water resistance, ANC, ambient mode, quick charge for buds, and app for earbud.
Things I Don’t Like : You have to use the right earbud if you wanna use a single earbud. The controls seem to be finicky depending on the application you are using. Pressing into my ears is not that comfortable but I will mention that it does not require too much force. I would prefer it if it had more battery life because I hate charging. I believe that yes one can charge right before you sleep but things can always have more battery life if you are traveling for long durations of time.
Note : The app allows you to track the last used location of the earbuds. I do not believe it gives you exact location but it does tells you incase you lose it.

SO I have had a lot of different buds (searching for the perfect sound) and I and torn between these and the Bose. The Jabra have decent sound platform and decent ANC (better than Galaxy buds live). The call quality is good, wife says she can hear me but still hears things in background. My only gripe is the lack of mono operating options (not being able to use either bud independently). I feel if Jabra can achieve this, I will keep these for the long haul. By me not owning a Iphone I don't consider the Air pod pros an option for me since I cannot use the functionality to the fullest, even though I use a Macbook and an Ipad. If I had to pick I would choose the Bose if you are looking for audio quality and the Jabra if you are looking for comfort and better call quality. Just my opinion!!!

Really great earbuds -- very high quality sound, great noise cancellation, solid for making phone calls.
Only gripe is the battery life could be better. It feels like these die somewhat fast compared to my previous pairs. But overall, these were a great buy, especially for the mid-range price point.

A little background. I used Jaybird Run's then XTs for many years with great results till the XTs finally began to fail me this year. I am very picky about how things in my ear fit and also about my sound quality. The JBs served me well and were super durable so naturally I looked to the Vista 2's for an upgrade. This isn't a review of them so I won't go into detail here, but the sound and the ANC just didn't feel like it did much and the sound quality didn't improve much on my old XTs enough to justify the price; so I swapped them for the 85t.
WOW! The ANC on these is amazing. The headphones don't provide the same kind of isolation due to the "vented" shape, but you wouldn't know it with the ANC on. Most if not all of the benefit of a more isolating bud without the discomfort and pressure build up.
The sound quality is also great. For the first time ever I found the neutral profile of earbuds to be almost exactly to my taste. That said I still adjusted it with the robust EQ options in the Sound+ app.
Comfort of these is amazing. The physical button is easy to press and since the bud doesn't seal your ear, there is no uncomfortable pressure when you press it. The controls are customizable and the way to raise the volume +/- in particular is well executed. There is a nice audio clue and pause to let you raise or lower it gradually and in a controled manner.
These are definitely worth the price. The only thing I hate is the color. I prefer vibrant (easy to spot) colors, but other than that I couldn't ask for a better set of buds.

I've tried so many ear buds and I keep coming back to the Jabra. I've tried Bose way to big. Samsung buds they feel really loose buds pro that's a no go. No matter how many times you tap them couldn't get em right. Beets pro and no hear through. Sony can't even remember. But the Jabra 85T are the best. Can wear them for hours. The Jabra Elite 85t is an excellent pair of earphones. The sound quality is great and with the Jabra Sound+ phone application you can further tweak the output to your liking. Good highs, mids and a nice bass!
Noise cancelling works very well. I mostly use my earphones while travelling by air and once ANC is on, I can barely hear the airplane's ambient noise.
My only complaint is the "bulkier" build compared to the Jabra Elite 7 Pro. I found the Elite 7 Pro more comfortable since they are smaller.
Overall a great buy!

This is my third pair of jabra earbuds. I do metalwork and am constantly around loud equipment. These really help take the decibels down and connect easily to my phone.
The batteries seem to last a long time 4-5 hours of constant use with loud music and they pair well. The sound is great.
The only thing I don’t like about this brand is the right ear is dominant. Meaning you can’t have just the left ear in. I’m left handed, footed, and eared(?). It’s a big deal for me to have just the left ear in sometimes and I either have both on or none, but never just my right ear. If you’re right eared, these will be perfect.
