This new power station offers 7200W (watt/hour) peak of pure sine wave from its built-in inverter, which it's definitely good enough to power most power-hungry 230V household appliances such as electric dryer and 3+ ton AC (may need to install a soft start).
With it as a starter unit, I finally can use it meaningfully, as a portable unit for outdoor events (music and speakers), car/boat parade lighting, to running heaters silently during overnight camping. It can provide outage backup for appliances, including 240V with duration based on usage and number of batteries. The next stage would be planning a full-house backup system with transfer switch, and even a money saving storage solution working with utility companies' Time-Of-Use plans.
Pros: The features that I value are:
------------------------------------------------
* Handles up to 50W of EV charging (limited by batteries)
* 240V split-phase sine wave inverter runs near 7200W continuously and not just peak power
* Support MC4 (high voltage) or 8mm barrel charging inputs along with AC input (see Cons)
* 2 level UPS modes
* Pretty quiet at high wattage output
* Create charging plans to charge at specific time of the day and week
* LiFePO4 battery - can maintain 100% charge without losing capacity like Li-ion batteries
* Up to 30KW total power from expanded batteries
* Pairing to 60KW capacity, and 14400KW power (with Smart Transfer Switch)
* Easy to move around with 4 wheels, and go up/down stairs using the handle.
Cons: Concerns and Limitations
----------------------------------------------
* AC charging max at 15A (1800W). Disables 240V split-phase power but offer same 120V to both legs (a positive)
* High overhead when inverter is on and idle. I think it draws just over 80W when idle. Competitors are at 50W+ I think.
* Error codes (F6) when switching among several experiments. Needed reset and even complete drain once.
Some of the concerns go away with use with Jackery's Smart Transfer Switch (STS)
