Well, I'm a HUGE fan of the original film, and although I miss Gyllenhall from part 1, I still enjoy this ongoing story. Its hard to be a fan of war movies in this current state of the nation, but I do like this series. I will enjoy watching it more in years to come, just not now!

if you like war action type movies this is a must see. think this movie is better than Jarhead 1. If this movie is as good as Jarhead 2,(which I haven"t been able to locate yet) then I must find and purchase that movie as well.

I have watched all of the Jarhead movies and this one doesn't disappoint either. Dennis Haysbert continues hos command performance.

The film is a vivid visual portrayal of the boredom and routine of peace-time Marine embassy guard duty until it turns to chaos when the embassy compound is attacked in earnest. The combat sequences and tactics are exceptionally realistic, and the story is well-acted and told. One thing is certain – this moving picture will not bore you.

The movie is not too bad considering it is a direct to DVD release. Scott Adkins in great, but he is not in the movie that much.

Obviously being a Marine you would enjoy this movie. It has action ad motivation that all jarheada love! Bad thing is real Marines always know what's realistic and what's not and that will either make you laugh or make you mad haha

this movie depicted the fantastic skill and determination of our men in uniform depicted on the field of battle where not everyone follows the rules of war. well worth watching
