Great fitness tracker. Easy to use and linked to my food plan app seamlessly. Resting heart rate, steps taken and the alarm feature, to mention a few of the great features!

Works great at keeping me motivated throughout the day to accomplish my goals. Tracks steps, heart rate, sleep, and gives suggestions based on your readings throughout the week. My only issue has been getting it to charge. Sometimes it seems like it just doesn't line up on the charger and it doesn't register the band. My husband and I each have one--keeps us competitive and working towards our goals.

Better than my UP24 as the sleep tracking is great and heart rate excellent. Battery life does not go a week.

Have had my new UP3 band for about two months. Only problem I have seen so far is the battery life. It says it will last for seven days but I get, if I'm lucky, maybe four days. I upgraded from an UP24 band to this one because of its heart monitoring. Definitely like that aspect but the short battery life is a problem. I had 14 days of battery life on my UP24 so this is not good.

The jawbone is cool. It is pretty accurate yet the jawbone up told me I take many more steps... I don't know which one is more accurate.. also, it now auto detects sleep based on movement and heart rate, but I find sometimes it is not the most accurate.. but hey, it is awsome and no way anything liek this could be perfect... It is a great reminder to get more excercise, eat healthier, sleep better, etc. I love the heart monitor function. Go Blue

I like how it keeps track of my steps. If I'm still to long, it will remind me to move. You can set several reminders. Such as: drinking water to intake 8 glass as a day, time to work out, keep track of your sleeping habits, etc. The big thing that sold me on the Up3, is it keeps track of resting heart beat. My daughter & sister also got the Up3 after I got mine. We are on a team together, which is great way to encourage each other to reach our goals

The jaw bone is great at tracking movements, food intake and sleep. Actually, the sleep feature is my favorite. I found some of the features not user friendly....band unhooks during movement, falls off easily. There is no "face" to this tracker, so its difficult to see the modes easily...you have to use your smart phone to view status, steps, etc.

I like the app, it provides a good amount of information. I used to have a Nike Fuel band (now discontinued) that did not work as well. My only 2 complains about my UP3 is the battery life (it really lasts only 5 days, when it says I have about 7 days) and also the latch the secures the band on my wrist constantly fails and the band comes off my wrist at least once a day. This never happened with my Nike Fuel band.
Overall I love it

I got this device because it was on sale and worth the sales price, not the $180 retail price.
I wanted something with smart alarm features and good sleep tracking abilities that uses your heart rate for creating some of the data. That is what I got in a nice app and it does it well. Outside of tracking sleep and using the smart alarm feature, which works very well, I love the app.
The 'coaching' feedback the app gives me for the food I log into MyFitnessPal definitely motivates me to eat better and alter some things in my diet, but you have to be honest about what you eat. I don't care about lacking a display, I get all my info through my smartphone. If you are looking for something that is more an activity tracker, this does steps and passive heart rate monitoring, but not something I would use to track my exercise for improving my fitness. Something like a Garmin watch is more for that type of functionality.
Overall, it's exactly what I wanted at a price that was more reasonable than retail. I'm very happy with it.
No issue with the clasp, as seems to be reported by many. Definately a lot better to sleep with than many other trackers out there, simply because of size. Smart watches are way to big for me at bedtime.

This replaces my two-year old UP24 and has added features I love (more indepth sleep analysis and heart rate monitor specifically). The coaching alerts are great. My heart rate was alarmingly high one night. The Coach tip feature correctly diagnosed my lack of hydration and started me using the water consumption tracking feature as well. Honestly feel this tracker MAKES me pay more attention to my health. No excuses--if I'm short on activity after dinner, I'll take an extra walk to get to 100%. Being able to add swim activity is a bonus. Very happy with it! The online detailed tips are great--available at the click of a link when desired or easily ignored when I'm busy and don't want the extra information. I have a great record to print off (from the weekly email summaries) to take to my doctor as "history". I also own the iHealth blood pressure unit and it's easy to line the information up. Only slight negative is need to charge the UP3 more often than every 7 days (like 5 days) but it charges conveniently in an hour while off for a shower.

As a tracking device, it's so good and so precise. It tracks very nicely your sleep in different phases, and your steps, all automatically.
The problem is that it doesn't lock safely and keeps falling down from your wrist (at least happens once every 2 weeks), so it's easy to lose it

Why I like this -
It looks like a bracelet, No data displayed on the bracelet, can use it as an alarm, tracks my sleep patterns, heart rate and other activities.
I really enjoy the app that you get with it, and I think it's cool that you can use this with other fitness trackers
Who I would recommend this for -
Someone who does not work a intensive job which requires a lot of moving "stuff" or things that it can get caught on since the clip that holds it on your wrist could easily get knocked off. I've never had it fall out during sleep or activity but I've had it get caught on our couch fabric before.
I wear this all day and night, including while washing dishes etc.
I have it in black, I wouldn't recommend the white/gold version as the store sample was filthy.

I had the up2 and like this one better because of the heart rate monitoring and rem sleep details. It is thicker than the up2 but far more comfortable than any other up product.

Pros:
- I really like the REM/light/deep sleep charts. When you wake up, it tells your sleep duration and quality. It really matches with how you feel.
- Automatically detects when you were walking or running and asks for your confirmation.
- Monitor and keep records of your sleep and steps everday.
- Software provides you insights about health habits and propose challenges related to daily step targets and bed time.
- Provides you vibrate alarms when seated for long periods and also bed time.
Cons:
- Does not provide heart beat rating during exercise. Only data points during the sleep.
- The armband is not very good secured and not very easy to wear in the beginning.
- The sensors below the band sometimes leave some press marks in your wrist (e.g. while typing).
- It takes you some time to learn a technique to double tap the band to switch between sleep and wake up mode.

I ran across a deal on the UP3 for $45 so I snagged 1 for myself and another for a friends birthday. I'm glad I did! 2 days later they were back up to $99! The app is easy to set up on your phone. This is the first bluetooth device I've used and had no troubles syncing my band with my phone. I mainly jumped on this because it said it can track your heart rate. Well not quite...it tracks your resting heart rate which is different. It still provides useful information. I like that the app explains things, gives tips, and points out trends and will challenge you with goals. The sleep tracker is pretty cool. It keeps track of your light sleep, deep sleep and rem sleep. Although, i've noticed that sometimes when I wake up but am too tired to get out of bed, it shows that I was in REM sleep. Some people don't like the band because of the slide type clasp. It took me about a month to figure out what people were talking about when they said that it comes off real easy. I didn't find that to be true but did get my arm caught in the files at work and another time I got hung up on a box that we were moving. Both times the clasp came loose. My thought was that it came off when I got hung up...if i had a watch type clasp then it would probably have broke the band and hurt my wrist in the process so not a huge deal for me since I like the clasp. The funnest thing about this is that you can add friends on the app and challenge your friends to step duals. It also has alerts that you can set up to remind you to get up and move , remind you to go to bed, or if you have medicine that you take on a regular basis, you can set up a pill reminder. All in all I'm very pleased! I couldn't give it a 5 star because i find the food tracker to be a little weird. It's great if the item you are eating can be scanned, but otherwise, it's hard to look up foods that don't have a barcode and really hard to set the serving size. At first i was excited because it seemed to save what I entered, but then I realized that after awhile, it only holds so many different items and the oldest entries drop off the list. Even with those minor annoyances with the food tracker, I would rate this band a 4.5. So glad I stumbled onto this deal!

it is not small enough for my wrist but it does still work fine. It has not stayed connected with my phone very well I've had to reconnect it twice in the month i have had it. it is very light weight which I do like because i am not use to wearing anything anything on my wrists. so i would recommend it as a good fitness tracker

I like theheart rate feature and the jawbone app is really cool. wish the battery life was longer and the heart rate was available more often than just during sleep. also without the app you can't put the band into stopwatch mode like you could before, that sucks. they also removed the nap feature, that also sucks.

So far I am enjoying this new UP3. However I am having problems with it showing me step graphs on my iPad. Have been told by customer service they hope to solve this problem within 2 to 3 weeks. However for the last four days I have had to pair it with my iPad again every morning in order to get any information. I would not want to continue doing this forever but I am trying to give it every chance I can before having to return it because I really enjoy the info it is giving me especially the heart beats per minute at rest. I had the UP24 for almost 2 years and felt it was very helpful to me but this promised even more so I am willing to try it for at least two weeks before having to return it because of the time limit for returning.
