I waited for awhile for the Reign to come to market. I like the fact that it works for cycling, tracks sleep, and looks cool. Great design, and I have loved my Jaybird headphones, so I trusted the brand. I had some issues/questions and the customer support team at Jaybird was beyond awesome. The app and software will be getting updates - looking forward to more functionality. The design is beautifully simple but elegant (for a fitness tracker), and I love having the option for different styles of band.

Still feels very much in beta

I was excited that Jaybird was entering the activity tracker market with their own device however after having used it for the past three months I can only say I am disappointed in what has been released. I have had to send in for a replacement pod twice after they simply stopped syncing or pairing with the app. After the third one recently I decided enough is enough and cut my losses. In it's current state I cannot recommend REIGN to anyone as the app is essentially still in beta with features being added over time (history is still not viewable) and the band itself failing after a couple months of use. REIGN has actually scared me out of the wearable device market now and I'm hesitant to try any others now. Guess I will wait until the next generation and watch the reviews then.

I have been stuggling to get it to tell me how my sleep is going. Syncing it to my phone has been a challenge. But when I does work, I enjoy tracking my progress.

This device does a lot-tracks steps, cycling, swimming and sleep. Very easy to use. Need to use with app. It would be even better if you could see your results on the band.

There was a lot of hype from the conference in Vegas saying this would be the best fitness band. Not only was it postponed in production but it barely works. It still hasn't found my activity readiness and I have been wearing it for almost a week. I feel it was a complete waste of money and my jawbone worked just fine.

Cant summit a review cause product still cant be used. Why does a company make a product available and when you cant use it?The product app was suppose to be available for android the beginning of this month and the box itself states for this month too and yet it was changed. Why even sell something that has no use. And not only is it an expensive product with no use to it.

Finally a device that can "cross train"! The device is Super easy to use, bands are easily swapped out. I don't use the watch feature..

    Not what I was sold

My wife specifically asked for fitness band that could help monitor my heart rate, as I have had two heart surgeries. The Best Buy staff member sold her this Reign band - which seems to work wonderfully but has no such feature. With a 15 day return policy, we were stuck with a $200 wristband that no one wanted.

Well I've had my Reign for a week and it doesn't work anymore. The first 5 days were great. No it doesn't have history which I wish it had, but it's new to the market and I assume there will be updates as it gets some use with the public. I went to charge for the second time since using it, as the directions say it lasts about 5 days on a full charge. I plugged it in and all I have is a single red light. Doesn't move, doesn't charge...dead. I expected there to be bugs, but I guess more so on the OS side of things. This product has been hinted at for a long time and it took forever to come out. I was hoping they were working out all the bugs. Guess not. Pretty disappointed. Tried JayBird Reign's chat live support and they were "offline". Guess it's back to Best Buy for a replacement. I would wait a little bit before buying this until they work out the bugs, but I still think it's one of the best fitness bands out there...when it works.

HRV feature works, but that's about it.

Looks good, fits great and is very comfortable to wear 24/7. Syncing to my iPhone was easy and worked on the first try. The clasp is very nice and feels extremely secure. I followed the instructions on Jaybird's site, read all of the FAQs, and watched several of their videos to ensure I was using the product properly. After using it for a while, I found the activity data is not even close to being accurate. The problem is, if the device doesn't do what it is supposed to do, its worthless junk. The Heart Rate Variability feature works, but nothing else is accurate. It fails to automatically detect sleep, instead the app reports I walk miles, while I am sleeping. Of course, this makes the app think I've already gotten halfway towards my exercise goals for the day before I've even stepped out of bed. When I made my purchase, I was under the impression that Jaybird was using some new technology that was superior to other products on the market, but no matter how much digging I do on the Internet, I can not find any technical details on what kind of sensors. This is pure conjecture on my part, but as far as I can tell, the Reign just has an accelerometer and a finger sensor on top that you use once per day to get your HRV rating. I think Jaybird paid a great deal of attention to usability features to make a great wearable wrist monitor and hoped the HRV feature would be enough to win consumers over. Unfortunately, the Reign provide any more functionality than I already have on my Galaxy S5 phone. I do not care to waste my time troubleshooting with Jaybird's technical support. For the premium price they charge, the product was supposed to work out of the box and it doesn't. I'm going to get my money back.

What it does, it does well

The app is simple, no bells-and-whistles. It is what it is: sleep, activity, and the Go-Zone thing. No alerts, notifications or buzzing. No social, no web version, no HR. But what it does do, it does surprisingly well. Never knew a device could get to know me like this. I almost fell off my bed this morning when I saw how insanely accurately it knew exactly when I fell asleep, and when I woke up. You can’t communicate with the band - no buttons or screen or anything, so you can’t tell it what you’re doing, it jus knows. Don’t ask me how!

First unit wouldn't take a charge after two days . The second unit then only held a charge for 4 hours.
