What a great purchase. Music and Movies have been taken to another level. The sound quality is awesome and the bass is better than what i wanted. I wanted something which is loud with good quality and bass but not too loud as my neighbours home walls are about 30 feet away from me. This ticks the boxes. No issue stays connected perfectly. Definitely recommend.

I purchased this system holiday 2022. Wow! Sound is awesome. Virtual surround is decent. The voices in movies are perfect. And for movie bass and music this system is unbeatable. Most of the time I keep sub lvl at a 2 out of five. If I’m listening to music loud i go up to 3 but for me that’s plenty. And I do love GOOD sounding bass. I chose this over Polk magnifi max because there isn’t a lot of signal processing and electronics to go bad. It just a well put together speaker.

Geek squad guy named Nick got me onto it. I thought I was looking for a soundbar with Dolby atmos but in reality I was looking for a soundbar that was reliable and had excellent sound quality, and this soundbar has provided that. The set up was very simple, plugged in the soundbar to the tv hdmi arc with a 2.1 hdmi cable. Plugged up the subwoofer and clicked the button on the back to pair. Paired up very quickly and was able to start enjoying it immediately. This all in one soundbar (plus a massive subwoofer) provides the most amazing sound quality that resonates throughout any media you’re enjoying. I’m a gamer and like to enjoy a surround sound experience and the virtual surround sound that this bar creates is pretty great for what I was looking for. I’m also a huge hip hop fan and the booming bass from the subwoofer makes listening to hip hop soooo much better. It doesn’t have the widest range of abilities when it comes to settings but the bass EQ is great. I always keep it at level 4 bass because bumping it up to level 5 (the max level) just gets way too loud for me (even though it’s pretty awesome to listen to). My last soundbar from Costco crapped out on me after two months so I have had high expectations for this soundbar and they have all been met so far. Will provide update review in the future.

I recently purchased a larger tv for our family room and wanted a more robust soundbar. I settled on this JBL based on the specs and reviews. It didn't disappoint. Clear sound with the 5.0 setup, and the sub does a great job with the low frequencies. It's a totally different tv experience compared to our 2.1 Vizio soundbar.

I had a Samsung sound bar and was reluctant to change models. I gave this a girl because of the reviews and JBL have a decent reputation. I was very very surprised at how good the sound was, especially clear when you listen to the voices on the sound bar rather than it's being drowned out by the rest of the night. The 5.1 is so much better than my 2.1 and it is quite remarkable the difference. The sub woofer is on the large size but it is not connected by any wires to the bar so you can put it anywhere as it is Bluetooth connectivity. The subwoofer also has five levels of Base so it is really good in action films Etc Overall I am super pleased I gave this one I go!!

This is my first JBL purchase and I bought it solely for the subwoofer and all I can say is wow! The bass is absolutely outstanding and beats hard and loud. I didn't expect the soundbar to have surround sound as good as it did but it is absolutely amazing! It is a must buy whether you're watching movies, music, or regular TV this is one of the best sound bars with an included subwoofer on the market and it beats out many more of the higher name brands!

The sound quality is amazing! Was packaged in a very clever box! Came with a wall mount. The instructions for it was small diagrams, which was a bit confusing, but I figured it out. You can adjust the bass to 3 different levels. Very sleek in appearance. The sound bar is fairly long, so make sure you have enough space for it. The subwoofer is pretty big as well. Overall, I’m obsessed with my new JBL sound bar!!!

JBL - 5.1 Channel Soundbar w/Wireless Subwoofer - Black. I can't say enough of the sound quality of the sound bar and power output of the subwoofer. I use this for my 12 x 12 exercise room. I play classical rock and love the sound quality and the base. Super easy to bluetooth to my apple phone and Apple TV 4K device. Super easy for volume control and switching settings from my TV to my apple phone. Also, super easy adjusting the bass, which has five sittings,. I don't have room for additional speakers and this system fills my room plus more. I highly recommend this product for any exercise room or TV setup where you don't have wires ran for additional speakers

This JBL system is a great balance of performance and simplicity. Having used another rented Sony sound bar/subwoofer system the past couple of years living abroad, I was frustrated by how difficult it was to understand dialogue depending on the show or movie (I had my AppleTV box with me so was watching the same type of content I was before and now am back in the U.S.), and would constantly be switching through different sound presets the Sony offered to get the best results for whatever I happened to be watching. The JBL, with no optional sound presets other than bass level, sounds great no matter what I’m watching. Dialogue is clear but doesn’t feel “thin”. Movies via Amazon Prime or Apple have the “cinematic sound” and the 5.1 surround effect is more effective than I would have expected. Somehow, this JBL system gets the frequency tuning just right out of the box. I don’t need a bunch of different sound mixing presets to make different programming to sound good. The instructions and set-up are almost strangely simple; a power and HDMI connection, turn it on, and it’s ready to go. My favorite thing beyond the sound performance is the remote. Including the power ON/OFF button, there are only 7 buttons; simple and no nonsense. The only mild complaint I have is a slight latency in the muting after pressing the MUTE button. I’m used to it now, but it was noticeable to me at first. The JBL 5.1 sound bar doesn’t have a lot of frills and options, but then again, that’s probably because it doesn’t need them to deliver satisfying and high-quality sound performance.

I must first mention this was purchased for a bedroom TV, there is no soundbar that can provide or "simulate" true surround sound. Many people bash sound bars for this reason. A soundbar is to enhance the TV speakers, that's pretty much all it can do. The multibeam, bouncing off walls etc, I do not hear it at all nor believe it. I have Polk Signature line 7.1 in the living room that truly lets you hear effects around you. This bar replaced an ancient PolkIHT300soundbar/woofer. I was also considering the Polk Magnifi 2 or a Bose TV soundbar or 300 soundbar with the 500 bass module. I just could not see spending close to a grand for a Bose system just for bedroom viewing. This is packaged with mounting brackets and a HBMI cable. The JBL 10" sub woofer just destroys the old Polk. I have the sub set to level 3. My average listening volume around 17-20 decibels. It can get loud during action movies, turn up the volume a bit more and it will rattle the floor. Sure there is not audio option settings but neither did the Polk so to me it does not matter. The room calibration feature is a nice touch, not really sure how effective it is but on a 7.1 system it does make a difference. Biggest gripe is I am unable to connect it to wifi, the JBL app sucks. it did connect to Google home within minutes though. The dialog is clear no matter how loud the background scenes are. Overall for the price of 400 bucks, this bar is amazing.

Fantastic sound at a fantastic price (bought open box in excellent condition for under $160!) It does not exactly replicate have separate rear channels behind you, but I prefer the elegance and lack of clutter having it all in the bar. No regrets whatsoever. Bass is awesome, too! When cranked up, sounds like being at a movie theater.

This thing bangs. My living room is around 400 sf and you can really feel the bass. Everything sounds incredible. I would HIGHLY recommend this sound bar/sub combo.

This JBL soundbar is just what we wanted. Previously had an antiquated Bose system. The JBL has slightly better sound quality. The subwoofer is excellent. Adjusting bass is everything. Works so well it can vibrate the floors on "5".

Has very good sound quality, bass is the best out of all the soundbars ive tried out, def booms nicely with its 10 inch subwoofer which i keep on its side cuz if i keep it upright the down-firing sub speaker rattles my TV stand as you can see in the pic i posted. Plenty loud enough but i use for my average sized aaa bedroom, not sure how the loudness would hold up in a large living room. Has good build quality, nice and sturdy, attractive sleek appearance. The side firing speakers do a pretty good job for a virtual surround sound effect during certain situations like high action movie scenes, but of course isnt as good as actually having rear speakers. For the cost i would expect more customization for the sound tho and for this reason i give it 4 stars instead of 5, only sound mode for everything is the one they give which does sound good tho it would be nice to have options. And lack of EQ control is disappointing can only tweak the bass, but when listening to music i just use the 6 band EQ in Spotify. Pros: Good sound quality - great booming bass - decent virtual surround sound effect - good build quality Cons: Lack of sounds modes - lack of EQ

This soundbar costed me 260 dollars and was an absolute steal. I’m usually very picky with my electronics and immediately loved this. The bass is super powerful and sounds amazing.
