Was looking for something loud & portable in the $150 range and here are my personal thoughts. Little numbers by boy was used to demo the following speakers. 4. Beats pill +Crystal clear sound +Very small and portable -No bass -Overpriced @$199 (have seen it go as low as $119 which is great value) 3. Bose soundlink color +Good value @$129 +Loud enough to fill a large room -No highs, no lows, must be Bose! -Not up to Bose standards. 2. Sony SRSX33 +Good balance of highs and lows +Loud for its size -Didn't sound great near max volume. 1. JBL Charge2Plus +Rich deep bass +Highs were 2nd clearest next to beats +Water resistant +The loudest of the group -"Subs" are exposed on sides.

This speaker is everything I was looking for. I had the original JBL CHARGE and this new upgrade blows it out of the water. The bass is incredible for a small unit and it stays charged for a lot longer than the previous unit. It's also at a great price! Hopefully the Bluetooth connection won't mess up like the original. Double thumbs up!!

Love this little speaker! Sounds great with just enough bass! It's perfect for listening to music in the shower or while I'm cooking because its splash proof. Just wipe it off and go. Battery lasts a long time and it has a cord. It also has a rubber base that keeps it secure, even on a shelf. I love being able to just grab it and go, and then I have my music wherever I want it. This speaker is a great choice for quality and sound in this price range. I would definitely recommend this product.

It's a very strong little speaker. I dropped it a few times and it's still in tact no dents and plays as brand new. The sound is very good for the size. I carry this lil speaker wit me everywhere I go. It's my new head phones. Only down side is the area they chose for charging. It is a very delicate spot and the connection part on the plug bends easily. Already went thru 4 wires

Love this speaker.. sounds great, easy to link to. I listen to music every morning while getting ready for work. Very durable and I love that I dont need to stress about it getting splashed.

The JBL Charge 2+ is a great Bluetooth speaker that you can take to the lake or to a bbq. It has enough battery life to last all day and you could charge your phone on it too.I would definitely recommend this portable speaker to anyone. I've been using it for a few months now and the whole family loves it.

It's small yet it sure sounds great. The best things is that it may get wet and it will continue to work.

Now I have a Lil more bass at work in my music, when I'm on night shift!

I liked this JBL speaker systerm a lot, and I use it every day in my Carolina Room. My only complaint, is that it didn't come with a mini stereo audio cable, or mention in the instructions that I needed to have one in order to make it work. I had to borrow one from a USCB student who had it in his car. I didn't know why we couldn't hear the music, and he went and got his cable, and connected it to my iPod, which worked perfectly.

Before making the purchase, I have listened to many portable Bluetooth speakers within the same price range, including JBL Charge 2, JBL Charge 2+, JBL Pulse, Bose Soundlink Mini, Beats Pill, and UE Boom. Clearly, JBL Charge 2+ is the winner, and others don't even come close. I purchased JBL Charge 2 before switching to JBL Charge 2+. Overall, the sound quality is similar to Charge 2+. However, the sound is uneven when it's at high volume. Also, many models have glaring and DSP noice issues when it's at low volume. Unfortunately I picked up the one had issues above and I returned it on the second day. 2+ is the upgrade version of the original Charge 2. The sound is rich and a little bit better (bass, treble, etc). Splashproof is the biggest highlight from the original Charge 2. Also it doesn't have glaring or DSP issues any more!!! You can enjoy your PURE music at ANY volume level. JBL Pulse has very cool light effects and is a bit more expensive, but unfortunately it's lack of bass. Bose Soundlink Mini has overall good sound quality. I think its bass is too heavy but it really depends on your taste. The treble of SL Mini is not as clear as Charge 2+'s, and SL Mini has least functionalities compared to others. Beats Pill has good design but I'm not a big fan of its sound (good for Rap though). UE Boom does not have much bass and I'm disappointed about that. I highly recommend JBL Charge 2+. Obviously it was my BEST BUY of this month!!

This is my 2nd Charge 2. I have both the non water proof and the new water proof. If your looking for quality sound. This is the right speaker for you. Durable, portable and affordable. I bring this to the beach, on the boat fishing, and by the pool a lot. I travel a lot, so this goes on my carry on. Helps charge your phone on the go too! Its is very loud with kicking bass. I tested many speakers and price matched. This speaker sound quality won and its LOUD! Deep rich sounds. Doesn't sound cheap at all. It is very comparable to the Sony speaker. I love the Sony speaker as well. They both have deep rich sounds. If you want a step up and not worried about your wallet. Get the Bose! Don't buy those other knock off speaker that plays music with high treble and no bass. You want be disappointed. Its round, so it will fit in your cup holder easily. I have it jamming when I'm on the riding lawn mower.

I haven't had great experiences with bluetooth speakers in the past. I used to own a Bose Sounddock 10 (which is in a completely different class than the JBL Charge 2+ I know). From the get go, the Bose was constantly cutting out with all of my bluetooth devices I used, which I initially thought was attributed to the bluetooth technology, however I was way wrong and learned that after just about a year of use, was defective. The Bose was returned and the JBL Charge 2+ was purchased. I love this little thing! I mainly use this in my office at work which is a about a 200 square feet space and this little guy fills the office space with ease on mid low to medium volume. The bass is great in the upper levels, but you will notice some distortion in sound at the highest volumes (I'm not one who listens to music on their highest levels anyways so this is not an issue for me). The battery life is great as well. I use it for about 3 days (approximately 12-13 hours before I have to recharge it). This is with the volume set at mid to low. One thing I did know before purchasing it is that it will fade out/cut the first part of a song off when skipping to the next track (I mainly use Pandora). This doesn't bother me at all but may others. Overall, I think that this is a great bluetooth speaker within this price range, but not sure if it is worth the upgrade if you already own the previous model (Charge 2).

Got this speaker after listened the one my coworker has. This one comes with the splash proof, which comes handy when you go to pool parties and people wants to listen to music (I already did it and water fall on it and the speaker is still working). I have 2 months with this product and it has been awesome. The day I got it, I brought it to a party. I used it to play music and the sound it produces set a good atmosphere on a like 15 by 30 feet room. Everyone could hear the music well (not loud, just good enough to set the mood) and love it. I had use it to play music on my car (since car radio does not works) and it does a good job. I play music on my room and it makes a clear sound with good lows. The great thing of this speaker is that has two mini sub-woofers. That makes this device awesome, so you can hear good the high, mid, and low of every type of music you want to hear. Connectivity with bluetooth is great. I use the cable connection too as well and it sounds a little louder. I connected my ipod, cellphone, and laptop with bluetooth and cable. I also connected my portable cd player on it and the sound is nice. I have not use it to charge my device yet, but I bet the battery is really good. I have only charge it 11 times since I bought it! If you want a good clear sound with good bass (and the ability to take it to places where there is water) then this speaker is for you.

I spent about an hour in store testing out all the mini speaker products. This one sounds the best. It's mini sub produces a punchy bass sound and the high end sounds and vocals are excellent. The battery lasts a long time and the bluetooth connection has a nice range. The JBL Charge 2 is well constructed and has a solid, heavy feel when you hold it. It travels well and has survived several suitcase airplane rides. This is the best bang for the buck at this price range.

This little JBL Bluetooth speaker is without a doubt the best Bluetooth speaker that I have ever heard even at its highest volume and its lowest volume. It even puts some larger speaker systems to shame in the way that it can produce sound. It has a very fast charging system so that you can get back on the go quick and it is water resistant and has noise canceling for when you use it to talk on the phone without any feedback. By far this JBL Charge 2 Plus is what I have been waiting for when it comes to a wireless speaker and the battery life is really amazing, it is definitely a lot longer than I expected when listening to a normal volume. The one way that I can tell that this is a high quality system is when I am listening too music at a very low volume, most low quality speakers have a lot of static and will not sound very good, but this speaker has no problem producing a great sound at a very low volume very clearly. The JBL Charge 2 Plus is just awesome, I recommend them to everyone.

I am very satisfied with the JBL Charge 2+ speaker. It has great sound quality and the bass for such a small speaker is great as well. Compared to other speakers I tested it out no other speaker had such good bass unless it was a larger speaker. I liked it even more the any of the Boss speakers. I usually connect my devices through an aux cable, since I found out that the sound quality is better and it is louder this way compared to when you connect a device via Bluetooth. By this I don't mean to say the Bluetooth is bad, it works perfectly. Also the ability to connect multiple devices is pretty cool, although I have yet to test it out. The battery life is also very good and it most likely matches the proclaimed duration. I haven't timed the actual battery life yet, but plan to do so. With moderate use throughout the week, I usually charge it once or twice a week. It will get you through a whole day of listening to your music, although that will vary depending on the volume. I purchased the JBL Charge2+ speaker after initially having its predecessor the Charge 2, which was also a great speaker, but unfortunately it had an issue with charging. However, when I talked to a Best Buy representative he told me that it was the first time he heard of such an issue with the Charge series, which is a good sign.

I loved this sound right off the bat,!! Seeing the bass speakers work for such a low small unit, was entertaining. But the unit as a whole looks and sounds great, sitting on my bar, it's easy to hook it up to my iPhone 6S plus, it only takes seconds, I'm very happy with the product, the salesman that helped me was very knowledgeable and friendly. The speaker has awesome sound! It has great bass too! You won't find that in some of the other speakers in this price range. The battery life is extremely impressive too! I've gotten three 12 hour days out of it with a medium/low volume. I really like that it can survive a rainstorm and also charge my phone or other devices. Really great product! The only way it could be better would be to feature waterproofing and a floating feature.

My portable wireless speaker is exactly what I was looking for. Not too big not too small. I live in a cozy 600 sq. ft. apartment therefore I do not need anything too big and/or loud. This compact speaker satisfies the level of sound that's adequate and non disturbing to my neighbors (at least I think it's not ). The battery life is fair enough and love that I can even plug my phone for a quick charge. For the bass lovers the number of watts on this speaker is good enough for me considering my aforementioned concerns (room & consideration of neighbors). Overall satisfied and good price for it.
