Customers are saying

Customers often highlight issues with the cassette player, citing problems such as instability, difficulty opening the cassette door, and malfunctioning buttons. Reports also mention issues with the CD player, including pausing and difficulty opening the CD door. While some aspects of the boombox are praised for their quality, the cassette mechanism appears to be a significant point of concern for customers. The overall user experience seems negatively impacted by the unreliable cassette player.

Great speakers. It has a great cassette player which I need for my thousands of cassettes. The cd player also works great. I also like it because it can be plugged in

This CD player sounds great for being small. I needed something portable that was very lightweight, but also is loud enough to hear outside or in a crowded gym. It fits the bill!

Everything's works fine. But please be careful not the scratch the cd surface when you insert the cd. The cd door cannot be open all the way. It only can be only about 3/4 of the way. So you need to be taking extra careful when put in cd.

I bought this cd player for my young daughter, she play piano while listening/following her teacher cd. The price are very good, the material is kind of flimsy, will see how long it would last. Good for young kid CD/radio player....

The music industry made a whole bunch of recordings, on tape, cds, and records (and many others). They have a responsibility to make players and radios that can use old and new recording media. I had to search for this player....something basic, black, small, and having a tape player, and a cd player. It seams to work well.

Love the convenience of a portable cassette/CD player. I can move it from room to room or take it to the beach. Hard to find a decent cassette deck these days and since I have a lot of them, I love this little radio CD/cassette player.

I have many tapes and cd's. Many machines won't let you play tapes, this one will. Great machine for seniors. Compact size does not take up much space. My friends want one.

I bought this because the radio and CD player on my old boombox no longer work. We still listen to some old tapes and need a player that does all three. The radio on this player was the clearest in the house. The CD player was great. My issue is with the cassette player. The rest of the machine felt like quality, but the cassette door felt like it would fall apart easily. The tapes all sounded like vibrato. I tried three different tapes and compared them to my old player. The quality was so bad I decided to return it right away.

I was really excited because I was getting three features (CD, Cassette tape and Radio) without spending a lot of money. I loved how small and compact it was -- so light weight. However, I quickly realized my mistake. The radio played great that I must say, but I was a little more than upset with the CD player and the cassette player had its own set of faults. The CD player kept pausing about ever five minutes. I am always careful with CD's because I consider them less durable and more easily harmed that cassettes. I put in multiple CD's that were brand spanking new and unused right out of the package, but they still paused and even skipped at times. It sounded like the CD player had the hiccups! The cassette player felt very unstable, and It felt as if I were having to squeeze the tapes in to make them fit. This device played cassettes with poorer quality than what I am used too. The tapes sounded like they was 50 years old and they were not. I am writing this review to save everyone the heartache and frustration of thinking that they got a good bang for their buck only to have to return it and continue the search.

    Broke on day 2

Second time we used it, I pushed down the cassette PLAY button and it fell into the boom box. I was looking for a cassette and CD boom box for my sons to listen to audio books at bedtime. I didn't want to spend a lot for a kid boom box, but thought 35 was a reasonable price. What I got shouldn't have cost 15. The whole thing felt cheap out of the box, but with a Jensen name I was hopeful. CD door barely opens because of the poor handle design. The cassette buttons kept jumping back up - then broke. We waited for almost 2 weeks for it to be shipped and then it immediately broke. Just wasted a lot of time on this product.
